One thing I find particularly outstanding is that he diagnoses the problem. He does not just start replacing parts (at your expense). He finds the root cause of the problem and repairs it. Unlike the mechanics that just start replacing parts until they get the right one. When you compare the results and expense, you will find that this method is much quicker and less expensive. The owner is our whole familys, car surgeon and we wouldnt have it any other way! I think the top selling point for me, personally, aside from fair pricing, is that this is the one place Ive been to that didnt try to tell me I needed something. We have all been there, when you come in for a oil change or something minor, and the next thing you know, youre being baited to purchase all of this stuff that you didnt even need. John has always been upfront with us and will tell us if something is a need. Great guy and great service!

I recently purchased a used Hyundai Sonata 2014 with 7K miles (from CarMax and had a great experience there too by the way) and after 5 days I was still having some minor shifting issues. Now, I was aware that this a computer controlled transmission which takes time to adjust to a new driver. But hey I just committed to pay thousands of dollars over the next few years. I wanted to be sure. I asked him to conduct an inspection with a test drive which he did for about 1/3 what the dealership would charge me. If I heard him right (make sure you confirm), he does free inspections for REGULAR customers. I must have heard that wrong.He located a minor oil leak, tracked it and figured out what it was in less than a minute (someone forgot the gasket on the oil pan drain plug). He even tightened it for free. He also noted that my oil was pretty heavily overfilled (no doubt to account for the minor leak) and that it puts a little extra back pressure on the engine (so it slightly messes up the power and fuel economy).Quick, very knowledgeable, very friendly. I would say that it isnt the best neighborhood but it is a really nice shop. I highly recommend using his shop. I can tell you if I lived in town or even nearby (I live 4 hours away), I would definitely bring my vehicle there.
