I went in looking for a desk or table to use as a desk. The salesperson Roslyn helped me. She was great...she went over and above to assist in finding me the legs for a table. She made suggestions for other options and told me when the legs would be restocked. Thanks Roslyn I appreciate you!! Thanks ikea...i finally have a workstation!!
A lot of options for furniture and home decor items. Staff were helpful and wore masks. There were intercom announcements reminding people about masks every 30 or so minutes. They also had those little arrows on the floor for which way you should walk. Their click and collect service was quick and easy to understand.
This is my favorite place. I love coming here every Sunday to work/have fun. The employees are super nice and the products are amazing. I really recommend this place for shopping and for a job
Ikea has change a bit since the last time I was there for shopping but its still great. Very large selection of goodies and ideas for home upgrades, good prices, good customer service too. Great experience! 😊
A great place to buy stylish household goods at competitive price. Things are designed to save money and space. Only downside is, you cannot expect those to be durable.
My first time at Ikea and man what a cool place. The products are well made and the layouts give plenty of design ideas. Only issue we had was the returns/exchange line. The workers were unattentive; a few were obviously not in the mood to work.
Okay, so I finally went to IKEA. What a Great experience! You cant beat these prices!! So I decided to use their products to remodel my kitchen. It is coming out spectacular! A bit difficult ordering/coordinating but do love how it is looking so far.
This IKEA is really nice. The display area is clean and well thought out. The cafeteria is well tended and beautifully decorated, and it wasnt too crowded. The marketplace was also nicely laid out. My only two suggestions are to make sure to keep stocked on popular items, and increase help staff on the floors as there were long lines waiting in the display area. Overall, this IKEA is a great place to shop.
I got a full size bed today. I like it and it was very good price. The staff who helped me was nice and very helpful. It was comfortable to shop. But the delivery fee was expensive.
Pickup service is not very explanatory. We did the whole online check-in, but it gave us no steps to follow. When we asked in the pickup counter, they said our name will be called. We never had our name called, and our stuff was sitting on a cart in front of us for several minutes. It wasnt until we checked that realized it was ours. When reading the tag, we got yelled at for crossing a yellow line. It was the only time the associate spoke to us.
Typical IKEA. No pay parking ( not typical near NYC! )!More staff to help would be good, but otherwise a good experience. And the cafeteria is a great value!
Parking available,Selections are good and worth to visit to buy home stuffs thing.
I wont let one bad experience tank my review, so I will deduct one star. Weve been shopping here for over a decade, but my last experience was atrocious.Bought a Småstad wall storage unit with a counter top in the store. This unit isnt in the self-service area and must be picked up from the furniture pickup area. It took over 30 just to place the order at the desk. I then waited over 40 minutes for the order at the pick up area and it never came. I had to leave and told the clerk I will come back later that evening or the following day and was told that it wouldnt be a problem.Well, it was a problem. I came back the next morning and my order was cancelled. Not refunded - cancelled. They then had to start to pick it all over again. I was told less than 30 minutes. I waited 1 hour 15 minutes with barely and updates. When I asked why it was taking so long, I was told my order had been put at the back of the queue, despite the fact that they asked to expedite it considering I was given the wrong information the previous day.So, be wary of the furniture pick up area. If its not in self-service, dont buy it unless you have a lot more time to waste than I did.
Its ikea lol ...follow the arrows and you wont get lost
Very clean and consistent, regarding the amount of people who came when i arrived. When i first arrived, the first thing u noticed was the difference between two years ago and today, very different concept and it felt SUPER clean. Would recommend 100% for cleanliness. (Their prices kinda overboard but its still perfect)
Decent prices at times also can be SUPER PRICEY… Always packed. But great furniture finds! Also the food is good.
Nice, big store with a giant showroom and a giant marketplace. Since this is the only Ikea on Long Island, it is usually packed on weekends and holidays. During weekdays, it’s not as packed with ample parking spaces around the property. Usually this IKEA don’t have many items in stock, especially the popular items. The one in Brooklyn does have a fair amount of in stock items but the traffic getting there is just too long. This store has a great showroom and it took us about an hour to enjoy looking at each showrooms. We purchased their branded microwave for $49.99 and it’s small enough for us to use and it works great. Most furnitures are available here since they have a huge warehouse on the property. Staff were friendly and helpful with ordering the microwave and picking it up at the “Pick-up” area. This store is also connected to the mall next door so it’s convenient to shop for clothing after shopping here. The IKEA restaurant has good amount of dishes they serve and a wide area for dining in. This place is the go to IKEA if you live in LI and eastern Queens.
Nice store with plenty of room displays to get ideas. Also carry a big variety of items, some which I have not seen elsewhere. My only complaint during this last visit was the HUGE checkout lines and insufficient registers open.
Always hard to find an associate on the floor to get an answer to a question. Then after you find something you set your heart on having, you discover that theyre out of stock after you searched the aisles and rows for it.They should also have associates in the area where youre looking for the items.
I love coming to Ikea, its one of my favorite stores to go and most of the furniture I own is from them. Most recently I needed to pick up another nightstand, but figured why not try out the food too! Me and my date bought a few things at really reasonable prices, and enjoyed the break from shopping to have a pretty healthy lunch. I got the swedish meatballs and even had a slice of almond cake! Both were very tasty, and then we continued on our way to actually buy the thing we came for 🤣
I love Ikea the furniture is so good
If you ever lose any hardware for your furniture come to the Returns & Exchanges department. Here you will find the most helpful employees in the entire store, unfortunately they dont have spare parts for kids furniture. However they will order the parts that you need & have them Shipped to your home for Free. The quality of customer service from this department alone is why I continue to shop Ikea.
Very orderly shopping experience in every department. They also have a food court and their prices are good!
Found a replacement for my Slakt. Good food, and clean showroom. Good looks all around for the place, just looks a bit unorthodox due to the small entrance.
Spacious and nice to browse. Good enough parking spots. The only downfall is that the bathrooms are usually nasty…
To be fair it was my 1st time here and I found it to be very overwhelming. Felt like I was at an airport terminal. Wish there were like guides or maps to get around, perhaps there were and I just didnt see them. This place is ginormous and one can get completely lost...good thing for the arrows on the floor. Didnt have the time to really take it all in and just take my time to look around. Came home with 3 end tables and coffee table for cheap. Lets say its good starter furniture for dorms and ppl finally out on there own. Simple cheap designs and everything you need to get started or try buy to see if you like. If you dont well you didnt spend a fortune so its all good. Planning on returning when I have the time to spend a couple of hours instead of thirty minutes.
I had an amazing time, found everything I needed and the prices were really good! Installation and building was smooth. Great place would shop again 🙂
4/5 people I encountered there had no consideration for my time. Cashier told me go back to the sales floor because another one of their employees forgot to put an email on my order. If you know the size of this store you can understand why this was upsetting.Waited on line for 15-20 minutes for four screws that my ikea bed was missing to be told I need to sign in on the kiosk as if four screws was an extravagant request.Sign in on the kiosk and get back to the desk. They don’t have none of the screws now. Didn’t even check the stock room or nothing.Unacceptable and a lost customer
Nice location friendly staff. Even though the place is generally packed quickly got in and out with what was needed. The only issue is lots of items currently are out of stock.
Due to limited occupancies, there are lines almost everyday. Gave out umbrellas during hot days! Enough signs inside and outside about social distancing and mask mandates. Most of the people kept their mask up inside. Long line inside at the cash register as well. Was it worth the wait???? Yes unfortunately. Good affordable furniture with good designs! Well worth it! Also the newer designs implement stronger fall resistant mechanism so it’s safe with kids and children at home.
Went here early in the morning on my way out east for some furniture. Best early in order to avoid any crowd. Youll need to check before coming if items are available since many are out of stock. They have a very organized way of getting your furniture items to you from off the warehouse shelves
Extremely slow service. they don’t care how many customers are waiting, only one staff is there helping if you are trying to order closets or cabinets.
Took my grandson to pick out & up a desk set for his roomits IKEA-he found what he liked and wanted
Ikea shopping is not completed until I eat at the restaurant. Your get great deal plus free coffee. I only shop where I feel great after.
The only thing I dont like is when you go to eat in the restaurant upstairs. So rush, and when they serve they just dump the food on the dish. I think they should be trained to serve a little better. Will attract much more customers.Food is good
Standard, but most items I needed were out of stock. Then one that was suppose to be out of stock was there. Well run cafeteria.
The prices are excellent. A huuuge selection of things to choose from. Honestly I would come here more often but the whole parking situation and the maze like layout where I feel like Im participating in an escape room just to find the exit is enough to make me pay a little extra somewhere else.
Best place for shopping excellent variety good customer service excellent prices
The best IKEA location out of all NY options. Well organized and properly managed. Come before noon on a weekday for the best shopping experience.
I have to admit this is my favorite place in winter time to get ready for the summer. I get good deals and great ideas to mix and match furniture pieces. And enjoy a meal together with the family. The food is always good at the right temperature.
Truly a unique experience. Love the Swedish cafetería at the end.
I love Ikea and Ive been to several locations. I was looking for a recliner and when I checked online it said they had it at this location. I wasnt sure if I could trust it because another reviewer said it was inaccurate. But I took the gamble and the inventory was exactly right.Parking was nice and easy and the item I was looking for was easy to find. They were observing all the sanitizing and social distancing stuff and the people on staff and other visitors were all respectful. It was a good visit and I would recommend it if youre looking for furniture or housewares.
This place is awesome! Love the displays and the prices are very competitive! Best meatballs ever and just a fun place to walk through.
Awesome place to come and get all your home needs at great prices. I could not give 5 stars because many items are not in stock. This may not be the fault of IKEA. Due to COVID, there are shortages across the board. Therefore, if you like a piece of furniture, have a backup in mind.. Take pics of the items you want & their tags.. This makes things a lot easier when you get to the warehouse to pick & load your items into your cart. If your 1st choice is out of stock, try being flexible & hope your 2nd choice is in stock. This strategy worked for me.
Went to Ikea tonight for a few different things. I got a ton of ideas for new things and was able to get what I need!I wanted to give your employees a big shout out. Tonight I witnessed a nasty customer at the return section with an attitude, and the employee was nice and polite through it all. Another male employee was being berated by a customer in my view, she threw a paper at him telling him he better go talk to his employee in a very aggressive manner and he kept his cool and was very calm and polite with her. The employees here are very knowledgeable and also have fantastic customer service skills and I just wanted to recognize that. Ill be back for more things because of how nice this store is and because of the employees.
Love their heavy curtains for my house. Purchased a boxed cart of TV shelf. Built the shelf in 45 minutes by myself on the whim. Should have read directions about 2-3xs cuz after I did it my way, I saw their way was the best way in the end.
Terrible order pickup experience. Two different times we have done pickup orders and both times they have missed their window by 12-24 hours which really threw off our weekend plans. Then you have to wait another half hour once you get there for someone to actually bring out your order. Shopping in store is fine, like any other IKEA, as long as what you want is in stock.
I love IKEA and Ive loved it for a long time. We have gotten so many products there over the years that I cant remember them all. Bedframes, mattresses, chairs, tables, curtains, shelves, lights, cabinets towels, doormats, we have bought them all. Always great quality, great prices, durable(their products survived my kids), stylish. I cant say enough about this store.
Its like any other Ikea but definitely smaller than the one in Brooklyn. The parking lot can be a nightmare when its busy because people will park in the loading spots so then cars that actually are there to load park in the road. I love Ikea but i hate that they dont enforce the loading spots for loading only.
Great stuff at great prices! Very friendly & helpful staff. Definitely recommend!
Surprised how well organized considering it was crowded. Very professional and fast
I like the store and products but several times they have discontinued popular items or colors so if you want to add a piece to a bedroom set down the road good luck! In addition, recently many items have been out of stock for months which is frustrating.
Its excellent for furniture and Other things.
I’m very disappointed with ikea customer service. I was driving 45 min away to the closest ikea to my home when I realized that I forgot my credit card. I called ikea customer service to ask if the cashier will be able to punch in my card number using a photo of the card; because otherwise I’d turn around and go home. The representative put me on a long hold and then told me that yes, I can provide my card number without the physical card. Turns out, after I did my shopping with three young children and a full cart, I was turned down by the cashier as well as the manager. They refused to take the credit card number despite what I was told earlier by the customer service representative. I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated. I have many ikea items in my home and I love them all, but the costumer service and the lack of ability to make an exception for a young mother with children in tow is baffling.
Always try to find items that are unique and different for my home .
Quick and easy order online pick up service.
Nice layout. Many of the items are unavailable but Ive checked back at times and theyve become available. It isnt usually crowded. I like the self checkout option.
Today was a special day. No lines to get in and only a 5 min wait in the IKEA food court.First time back in over a year. Seems like things are getting back to normal real soon. But they were out of stock of what I wanted. The food was good though. I shall return. 😁
I always like to look at IKEA show displays for ideas on what to do at home. We always end up driving to this location for the food, easy parking, less crowded and kinder people. They have a Small World childcare area which is nice, but weve havent tried it yet. The $1 non-frozen yogurt ice cream is always a great way to end our trip. We had lunch here as well. Meal for 3 was $20 which wasnt bad at all~ I always loved and appreciated IKEA for creating less waste by always using washable and reusable dishware and utensils in their food court! We went to look for bunk beds for our kids room and our daughter found one she loves 😁
The worst location. Never anything in stock. The most basic things are constantly out of stock and always unavailable. Seems like they never restock their products even when it’s the most common and basic ones that probably every person shops for.
Good place to walk and see different things, make sure you go with plenty of time.
Loved the experience just purchased a sectional couch from this ikea
DO NOT BUY KITCHEN CABINETS FROM THIS PLACE!Ive had the misfortune and bad luck of choosing IKEA cabinets. I made my order mid August and its end of September and I STILL dont have all the doors and drawer covers with no response on when they will come in.If my counteracts were not installed I would pull the entire cabinet system our of my kitchen and return it to them.Ive been to their very badly managed store more than 10 times now.... long lines, bad service and still no cabinet.DO NOT FALL IN THE SAME MISERABLE SITUATION IM IN..... TAKE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!
Very good clean and big place but lot of things they are out of stock and not available in store so they just need to improve their inventory.
Great prices for almost anythig you need
Ive purchased a variety of items from Ikea over the last decade. The quality was just so-so but it was serviceable. I recently purchased a bookcase for my kids to display their Lego creations. The first one was defective (paint/finish was misapplied) and the second one was missing parts. I live an hour away so exchanging wasnt so easy. With the second return, they couldnt credit my card and gave me a gift card instead. Im done dealing with their horrible quality so the store credit is largely useless. I was told I could exchange the store credit to a credit card by calling a certain number. No one ever answers and messages go unreturned. At one point I was considering buying an Ikea kitchen. No chance now. Get it together Ikea.
Returning or exchanging is a nightmare and the staff were not friendly to the other patrons. They have a kiosk you have to check in at to return/exchange that is not well signed or noticeable so other patrons waiting in the physical line were not accepted until they went to the end of the line and checked in. Waited 35 minutes to exchange because only one person was working although there were 5 other empty counters.
We found a couple of pieces we liked, around 6, and none of them were in stock. Literally zero. We were looking for a variety of items too, so its not as though we wanted 6 of the same thing. Plus the furnishings are pretty rickety, but theres not much you can do about that considering the prices. All we ended up buying was lunch (which was good), some coat hangers, and a laundry basket after walking around for 2+ hours searching. Overall pretty disappointing.
The IKEA here in Long Island is magnificent! Its massive and the cafe here is very well organized and the tables here are close but not too close by each other!
Love this store shop here for years but today a employee at this store had a attitude over a simple question to register to purchase a dresser that this is all new to me but told us to register in a totally wrong place ask 3 times and with a attitude ask another employee an he said that’s not where to register to purchase this employee Derrick is rude and unprofessional to deal with costumers things like this make people go else where talk with a manager downstairs form the dresser department hopefully this don’t happen again or get someone that’s better customer relations
THE BEST IKEA in the tri-state area. Always so accommodating and have a widespread stock of the products!
A maze of a store full of decorating ideas and furniture
Even when it’s a busy Saturday it didn’t feel too crowded. All of the isles were clean and stocked for the most part.Their short term parking is very convenient as well for picking up online orders or loading/unloading.
We wondered around the store for two hours. So much to see and great selections to choose from.
Smooth not crowded, in and out record time.
I love IKEA but today it was packed to capacity, way too crowded and somehow I did not find anything I went looking for. Just a few people with mask and the lines were long. It didnt take too long to get up to a cashier though.
Looking for new ideas for a dorm room. Lots of choices at great prices.
Always neat and organized. Friendly staff!
Great place. Have to come early or late at night to beat the crowd and not wait on line outside in the freezing cold. But disappointed that the item i wanted was not in stock. Next time for us and everyone else. Go check online to see if the item is in stock at your ikea store before your visit. Minus one star because i couldnt find an employee to help with an item.
Great place with lots of show rooms and big parking lot. Parking is FREE and normally it is not crowded. The food there is also balanced and healthy. They also have a PLAYLAND so you can shop with freedom while your kid plays. With the showrooms you can get a lot of great ideas for big and small places. This Ikea to me is better than the one in Brooklyn. I am sure you will find what you need. If not, you can always ask a staff member.
