Their staff is really helpful, they absolutely know everything about your bow and will make it suit you for ~$20 which is a small price to pay for accurate shots. And if you have your own bow, its $10 an hour

Ive been with them for three years and Ive always had a great experience with them. I havent gone as often as I used to and theres new people working there from time to time but everyone has always treated me well. Everyones friendly and always willing to help. Ive brought friends over to try and have taken many lessons from them and they all have been happy shooting with me. I ordered my bow through here and every time I have a question, they always try to help and educate me. I highly recommend this place.

Superb place for new and experienced archers. This has proven an especially good find for us because the family which owns and runs the business is lovely and understands how to interact with people of all ages. Our daughter wanted to get into archery as a serious hobby after many summers of dabbling in it. At C&B she has been and continues to be trained, befriended, guided, and encouraged. We will purchase equipment here going forward. She had her own when we first arrived and far from being advised to buy more, we were counselled to wait and see whether it was really the hobby for her, and to proceed cautiously before spending money. All the advice we have received is great, the level of enthusiasm for the sport is high amongst those who run the business, those who come here to practice and compete, and those who just come to support others and hang out. It’s a great place to spend time and get involved in an ancient but up and coming sport that fosters physical and mental discipline and fitness.

Went to C&B several times this week to have two bows worked on and have to say that this place is the real deal. Not only do they offer quality accessories for sale, but their selection of bows is awesome. The staff, led by the manager Dustin are real archers, and love to share their knowledge of the sport. They are true professionals in both target and hunting and pass their enthusiasm down to customers and shooters that come-in to use their modern range. They have become my one-stop shop for everything I need in the sport.Dont hesitate to go there and try them out; they are the best in the area.

So my family helped me take up archery and fulfill my need to bow hunt. I went to C&B for the first time the other day to get my bow tuned arrows cut and get some basic instruction so i could get shooting and I could not have been more pleased with my experience. I was greeted by the shop manager Dustin when I arrived and he took care of me from that point forward. He measured and fine tuned my draw length and weight. When we moved to the range his knowledge and love for archery truly stood out as he walked me through proper stance anchor points my release hand. I put a few dozen arrows through the bow and felt very good about this new venture. 95% of my arrows were with in a 10 circle and I shot a couple tight 3 arrow groups on my first day out. as for the rest of the staff from what I could tell they were all just as knowledgeable and friendly as Dustin. C&B has gained a new customer for life and I will be spending plenty of time shooting there in the months to come.As for the few poor reviews Ive seen here and on couple other sites I truly wonder if those people were reviewing the right shop.

I had an amazing experience here!! i went in there looking to purchase my first hunting bow. they let me play around with 5 different bows and then shoot with 2 of them at the range until i felt comfortable making a decision. it is a family run business with personalized care. i believe i was treated honestly. when i explained what i was looking for and how they felt, they even directed me away from a more expensive model to one that was a little cheaper. i had tried a different location and they would not even let me shoot the bow or sample various option before purchasing. they also spent around an hour on the range with me giving me lessons and pointers until i was hitting targets at 20 yards. i purchased the PSE Stinger.p.s.they also sell hunting license here and were able to set me up with everything as well as give me excellent information.

Put one foot inside the building and you realize it is a hub of an active archery community. Archers of all ages using the range; you can tell that there is a group of regular users and the shop hosts leagues. Multi-lane range and equipment shop with a separate area for parties. The fact that they have a party room indicates they cater to a younger crowd of school kids. The facility offers rentals, lessons and open range time. A 90 min lesson is $26. I took a lesson mid week and the lesson consisted of a 5 minute safety talk, about 15 minutes of instruction and then I was left alone for well over an hour to shoot on my own. The instructor never came back to me and was on the other side of the range helping other shooters. I suppose I got $26 worth of service but buyer beware when shopping for archery lessons; this might not be the best choice if you want or need 1:1 attention.Pros: centrally located for Nassau County, plenty of parking, within short drive to public archery range, active community, well-stocked shop, generous shop hours means you can come here after a days work.

The time i went there I had such a bad time. The owner shouts at you randomly and they are so rude. A tiny kid didnt know what a pointer finger was and the staff said to figure it out them self. I will never go here again and if you do then i feel a bit sorry for you. These people are terrible and i felt terrible about this experience.Edit: there are much more areas you can practice archery. Also the owner is as if he was only there for the money.

When they had a league ... Saturday.. place jammed with people I show up .. never tried this and my 10 year seems to watch green arrow and I try to hook it up. I know these guys are stressed and have no time but MAAAAN they saw my boy and made the time. They were patient and made it comfortable to learn ... I didnt feel bad making mistakes or failing to remember directions the first time. I mean when youre learning something for the first time you dont want to feel like youre stupid ... I get great respect at work and I am always respected and my little guy looks up to me .. and yet .. I was in an unfamiliar setting and they made sure to make us both feel great, and comfortable. They really made it a good time and now Im calling to discus compound bows and Christmas presents. Hey archery place ... thank you for everything. Bryan Salamone.

From the first minute I was in there, I knew I was going to have a problem.Very rude, got yelled at for putting my bow case on the glass counter, very hard to see the sign under scratched glass, that’s when I should have left.Got my bow tune up for $150 and still shooting to the left. Some kid said I need to buy a new sight. Well I didn’t. Ralph said he was going to come over but never did, then he left for the night.I called the company because it was a new sight on a new bow and they said the center line shot is off.. What did I pay $150 for??????????? Tune what????????

Without a doubt, newbie or professional you will not go wrong here. An amazing atmosphere, buzzing with locals who are willing to help and even let you try their equipment, staff like Dustin who will go out off their way to help and enough room on the line to feel like your not a sardine. Some back story. My first time was at Queens Archery and loved it immediately. I found the staff nice and helpful but soon realized that this was a one of experience. I was looking to buy a bow but was told that I wasnt allowed to try before I buy, then they gave me an incorrect draw length which caused alot of problems including an injury and taught me bad form and stance. So I checked out reviews of other stores across NY and stumbled on C&B Archery. Thank my lucky stars. I had the best experience I could even of hoped for. Dustin measured my correct draw length, corrected my grip, shoulder position and stance, they allowed me to try out 6 of the top 2014 bows from Hoyt, Mathews, BowTech and PSE and anything else I wanted, gave me 2 hours on the range to get comfortable and literally schooled my mate and I in everything bow related so I can make the right decision when and if I ever get a bow. Yes, you read that right. I had made no commitment into buying a bow but they spent 3 hours teaching me for FREE.... but guess what. I did buy an amazing bow and couldnt be happier.Go here, see Dustin. I beg you to. You will love it and be around people who love it. Not around people who dont.

I started to become interested in archery from a co worker, he wanted to sell me his equipment. I like to read up and learn before i do anything, and i saw the reviews for C and B and the staff especially Ralph. Needless to say i didnt go due to work and but i remembered all the reviews. My wife gave me a gift certificate for 100$ for christmas since she knew i was looking to shoot. I asked her about Ralph and she said hes a joker like her old boss in brooklyn,ny. But he didnt hook her into buying a compound bow, because that was her initial gift for me. He told her to send me to the range, see if i like it and go from there. He couldve sold her an 700 dollar set up and she wouldnt have known the difference. He was honet and straight forward . Needless to say i went to the range and I took my 6 year old daughter, against my wifes wishes. Thinking that it was dangerous and she was too young. They welcomed us and started our safety briefing. John was our instructor and he was good and thorough and my 6 year old soaked up the rules and regulations of the range and was ready to go as well as Myself. We were set up with the rentals and i believe they were Martin compound bows, an adult and a mini G for my kid. after a few minutes we were both putting arrows downrange, albeit my daughter had some trouble due to arm strength but she did well for the first time. ANY ONE WHO SAYS THE SHOP OR RANGE IS NOT REPUTABLE HAS TO BE MISINFORMED. They were professional through and through. After i was done another worker asked if we had a good time and seemed genuinely happy that we were happy. Looking through the shop at the bows, i overheard the salesman talking to a new shooter about a set up. The buyer wanted the most expensive bow thinking it would be the best..But he didnt try to sell him the the most expensive. He took a few bows and asked the buyer to come to the range and try a bunch out and even said that the most expensive bow may not be the best thing for a beginner.. As i left i was impressed with that. C&B wants to represent the sport of archery, and i will buy my first and my daughters first bows there. GREAT SHOP!
