I was directed to Safelite through my Insurance company windshield customer service 3rd party rep. I could take my car to whom ever I choose, but after making a couple of phone calls John from Safelite was the friendliest and seemed most helpful. I showed up 10 minutes before my appointment time and was greeted by a knowledgeable friendly person who already had my information. 5 minutes later Steven introduced himself as the technician who would be installing my windshield and we walked outside to look at my car making sure I didn’t have any unanswered questions. I appreciated this and Steven continued for most parts, to update me through an app as I waiting in the wait area.The wait area was clean and had complementary drinks and snacks for the customers. Steven came out about an hour later to let me know the windshield have been removed and he was in the process of getting ready to reinstall the new windshield. The entire process took right at two hours to complete. We went over the work he did he explain though process how I can go online and look at the warranty information, how I can pull up a copy of my receipt online. The work looks very nice and I approved it. I received an email later on that day asking if your work is done according to my standards. I have nothing negative to say. A suggestion of communicating a little better of the length of time it takes to install the windshield, would’ve been my only suggestion. And in all fairness someone may have told me somewhere along how discussions. Everyone was very good at what they did it seem to go out of their way to make sure the work was completed according to my satisfaction. I would recommend this company anyone looking for glass repair or replacement. I would appreciate the windshield to be installed correctly then to be hurried and put in and I have problems down the road. I do appreciate a job well done. I think these people did an excellent job.

Incorrect quote given. Charged 200 more at time of replacement on job site because incorrect glass was taken. Tech was Fantastic. We spent 30 min measuring and entering information prior to install so that correct glass would be selected. Multiple transit roof options are available. Understood and appreciated thoroughness of process! Called to discuss mistake with Safelite. Was transferred to a confrontational manager who started the conversation aggressively and continued the tone throughout. Very unprofessional.

I scheduled an appointment and they didn’t have the part that I needed so they are ordering it in. The canceled my appointment which I understand and said they would notify me when the part is available. All good up to this point. The issue I have is that when I asked if I could reschedule an appointment when the part arrives they said it would take another week for them to get me in after the part arrives and the woman on the phone was very short and rude when I was asking. You would think that they would be willing to fit me in to their schedule when the part arrives since I have to wait for it to come in anyway. Not to mention this is a $1,300 job so they would be a little more accommodating to get me in. I guess I will just have to wait and see how long this takes and I will be without a car another 2 weeks I guess.

They replaced my windshield but left gaps and buckles with the seal. Doesnt offer a warranty for parts nor labor. Overpriced for the service rendered.

Brandon was the tech that did my repair, I was well pleased, he wiped down my dash and cleaned the windshield after he was done. He was very professional and you could tell he takes pride in his work. I highly recommend Safelite in High Point, on Mendenhall Oaks Parkway. The place he repaired is where a rock hit it 2 days before. When he was finished there were no more cracks around the initial hit of the rock, just the very small spot of where the rock hit. Brandon explained before he started that would be the case of what I would see. He also explained to me before and afterward that as long as I owned the car and if the cracks reappear, which he said they could way on down the road, that I could come back to have them replace the windshield and I could turn it in on my insurance. I was going to post before and after pictures, but after going back to my post, it didnt have the option.

My wife is so neurotic we had to get a chip fixed before we could continue on a camping trip. The technician loaned me a paper towel to get a speck of mud off her SUV. Thank goodness she did not see that, our trip would have been over! I know if I ever scratch it our marriage will be over. Five hours in a waiting room and we were on our way! Thanks Safelite!

My windshield needed a full replacement due to a rock that hit me on the highway. we ended up getting there early for the appointment, and were taken care of right away. the guys were efficient, and did an amazing job! will definitely come back if i need anything else.

I called their local phone number, and there is no option to talk to a person. It is completely a pre-recorded message, not a voicemail, but a message that tells you about their services. So my actual question, was not able to be asked or answered. So here is my question and hopefully the business owner will respond to my question through the Google reviews comments.I am planning to make an appointment for tomorrow morning at 10 AM, how often/likely is it that you all get behind schedule? I have an important event in Charlotte tomorrow afternoon at 4 o’clock that I do not want to miss. The website predicts the repair will take about 1 1/2 to 2 hours, but I’ve never had a windshield replaced before so I don’t know how long or how likely it could be that Safelite gets behind?I will delete the one star rating when I have an answer.I do think it is a bit ridiculous that you all have a phone number, but no way of even talking to a person at the business.Thanks!

Took vehicle into shop to have windshield replaced, thinking the job would be completed more efficiently if taken in. It was raining that day, the work was performed by Tyler. Well a week or so passed and I noticed the molding sticking out from the windshield on the passenger side, not only was it sticking out but also broken completely in half. I looked at the driver side molding which was also cracked. Neither was this way prior to the work. I contacted Safelite and scheduled a warranty appointment, this time I let them come to me since taking the vehicle in didnt improve the quality of work. The tech came out as scheduled and replaced all molding and the windshield now looks secure. The second tech was great which saved this review from being a 1. Thank goodness for the warranty.

No one here wears a mask. I was horrified, North Carolina has a mask mandate still, we are an entire year into a pandemic, it is not hard to wear a mask. The employees - those behind the counter and reception did not wear masks and they were not having people in their waiting area wear them. Have the human decency to at least put one on when people walk in for their appointments. I was horrified at the lack of respect and incredibly low standards here. I was here for an hour and of the 9 people I saw during this time, two people besides myself were wearing masks.As far as my repair goes, I went in saying my windshield needed to be replaced. I told the person at the front desk this. That person told me it wasnt going to happen today. The individual who repaired my windshield did a phenomenal job, however, he explicitly told me it would be a temporary fix and would need to be replaced. He said I just had to tell the front and we could have done it - weird since the woman at the front told me it wasnt possible. Clearly the standards here are low, as is the competency. The individual who filled the chip in my windshield was kind and did a great job, the organization itself was awful and clearly thinks they are above a global pandemic and the state mandate pertaining to masks.

So i need a winshield for my truck and safelite is the only place i had ever heard of so i looked them up and figured i would call them to get the glass ordered at which point i hear a voice recording telling me to go online...i did not and will not go online i needed to talk to a person who knows what they are doing because my truck is 52 years old and i dont even know if you can still get a windshield for this thing anymore. fortunately there are other options for auto glass and they actually talk to you with real people instead of herding people to the website like cattle to schedule an appointment so that they dont have to answer a phone.

I was nervous about using Safelite because I had read bad reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised by how awesome this place is! I was checked in right away. The waiting room is brand new and so clean, and they have complimentary snacks and drinks, and hot beverages.... the bathroom was spotless as well. My technician had me in and out in about an hour, and he did an amazing job! Couldn’t be more pleased. The store manager Steve is so kind and friendly. Really nice place! I would recommend them and use them again!

Worst windshield replacement Ive ever had. When I was told that it was done I went out to the car and started driving away and noticed that the right side of the windshield basically look like a giant bifocal. I went back and told them that there was something wrong with the windshield and before I could even point it out the technician knew exactly where to look and said oh yeah there was a scratch there and they tried to buff it out. I think they were just trying to give me a quality defect windshield. Then driving home after theyve rescheduled another replacement appointment the entire front dash is squeaking like nothing Ive ever heard before Ive had a dozen windshield replacements and Ive never had squeaking like that. Next time Ill tell my insurance company I have to go somewhere else.

I didnt like the fact that I was not offered a discount/coupon upon my initial online appointment. When I logged back on to the web to search for other windshield repair companies I seen an add for Safelite and Had to click on an ad after setting initial appointment to get discount.

Id love to give 5 stars.. the service itself i definitely a 5☆. However i was persuaded to use safelite because of the commercials...of course.. if you guys dont ALWAYS come the same day, you shouldnt advertise like you do. I had to schedule 2days out. Then the day of, dont plan anything because they give u a half a day time frame that the technician would arrive.. it ended up raining REALLY BAD, and the tech finally showed up. I felt bad he had to work in the rain, but hey, he had 3.5 hrs prior to come before it rained. Sp beware people if you need safelite they dont come on the spot.. and if they do, you will have to sit and wait where u are for however long til they arrive. Its best to just cancel plans and plan to stay home all day and wait on them!Thanks for the update. It was helpful!

Theyre either too busy or slower, since they estimated the job to take about an hour, which actually it took over two hours to be done a windshield replacement. In my hometown I have a guy that comes to my place and does the job in about 15-20 minutes. But after all, these guys at Safelite are friendly, courteous and Im sure they use the right stuff, not after the market products. If youre not in hurry, I do recommend this place!

They fail to repair a tiny chip. After the trying, the windshield was cracked. I spend about more than $600 for a replacement of the windshield. I think that they are not experts about that. Please go to the places that provide more expert for repairing chip. You may spend more time and money for repairing your tiny tiny chip at this place.

Brendon was my mobile technician. I would recommend him to someone needing a reliable and knowledgeable tech. The cap on my mirror broke during my windshield replacement on my Audi and he was VERY HONEST enough to call in to his supervisor to have one ordered for me. He could have just left it and pretend it did not happen which some people do, but not Brendon he made it right! And ensured me he would be installing the replacement mirror cap. My new windshield looks amazing and the process was done in an hour and a half via his mobile van at my place of business! He made an unfortunate day a great experience with his professionalism. I would recommend Safelite! 5 stars in my book.

The company and the quality of the final product is excellent and I would recommend to anyone. BUT..... the technician didn’t fully shut my front passenger door and it swung open while going down the road. I was luckily able to get over to stop and shut it without me or anyone getting hurt. EXTREMELY unsafe and scary.

No shuttle service, had to wait for 2 hours for my windshield replacement. Job was done poorly, top seal came off on the second day while I was on the highway...that wasnt fun at all. Impossible to reach the office, automated voice calls system wouldnt transfer calls to service location. Had to drive there in order to speak to the representative. Oh and seal is much thicker than the original one... Will never use their service again.

I had an appointment scheduled to have my windshield replaced. I arrive at the correct location, on time and was told they did not have the appropriate windshield in stock and that they would call if/when they do. The appointment had been scheduled for nearly a week at this point. No sympathy was offered. I went through a different company and will receive my replacement windshield tomorrow. Very disappointed.

Got dinged by a rock on my way to work, a little chip out of the windshield. Brought it by on the off chance someone could look at it. Within 2 minutes of the first tech taking a look he had a second tech come for a second opinion. Both said they could try to fix it but it would probably be a waste of money because of where the chip is. Nice to have an honest appraisal of the situation. When the windshield eventually cracks Ill take it there to replace it.

My insurance company set them up to come to my home and repair a stone chip. They fixed it the same day I called. They were extremely efficient right from the start and their repair man was exceptional. To be honest after he finished it is hard to find the place that my windshield was repaired! Went to get a chip fixed, found out it had to be replaced no matter how small. Thank God for insurance. Waited an hour and a half only to be told that they didnt have my glass. Set appointment for the next day, installer came early and got the job done. Not a 4 star review, but hey my 3 is pretty good

I took my Subaru Outback in for the windshield to be replaced, following a stone chip whilst traveling on the interstate. I decided to try a repair instead. The repair lasted a week or so and then cracked badly. I understand this can happen so I booked my car in for a replacement windshield, covered in part by my insurance. I waited a couple of hours and then received a call to say my windshield was fitted but they were unable to calibrate the eyesight technology and I would need to take it to the Subaru dealer to have it done. To add insult they called me to find out what time I was planning on returning to pick up my vehicle as they were closing! (I was waiting a half mile walk away, for them to let me know when I could pick up my car!) Unfortunately, when I spoke with Subaru, about recalibrating my windshield, they had no free appointments for 3 weeks and as I was driving to the beach the following week, it was a problem. The added safety features of my vehicle were not working for a long drive to the beach. Subaru told me that if I could leave the car with them for 2 or 3 days they would fit it in between other appointments. I had visitors from England arriving, my son was having surgery and I was preparing for our beach trip, so I couldn’t afford to be without a car. Neither could I spare the time. I contacted Safelite who graciously agreed to a car rental at their expense, however, I spent several hours arranging with a friend to take my car to the dealer and to collect it again, going to collect and return the rental car and then being told that Safelite had not connected any of the hoses or windshield washers etc., back where they should be, in working order. Subaru said they would reconnect everything and put it back as it should be, they wanted $62 for doing this. Subaru asked Safelite to pay for it and they refused and said that if I took the car back to them (another 1 hour round trip plus the gas cost for me running around trying to put right what they couldn’t or wouldn’t do). I paid the $62 myself, as I didn’t have the time to spend. Shame on you Safelite. A poor service, with little regard for your customer’s time and money!

Very friendly staff and excellent service. The technician received me and told me it would take an hour and a half to replace my windshield. I was very surprised when he came back forty five minutes later to tell me they had completed the service. He was very friendly and answered all my questions. He also walked over to my vehicle with me. He proceeded to explain the details of the services performed (windshield replacement) and the care I needed to give the recently replaced windshield. Not driving through a Car Wash or pressure washing the car until the seal was dry. He also explained the warranty details and provided me with a receipt, care details and warranty information. The waiting area is nice and comfortable. There are refreshments (water and soda pops) available to consume while you wait. I was very satisfied with the service and the results.

Went there with my 6 month old daughter, I was please with cleanliness of the waiting room,the staff was great and super friendly. Matt our glass tech guy is awesome was very professional and accommodating. They would of got 5 stars if they had a diaper changing station in the bathroom. But it was very clean and overall service was excellent.

I had to get my windshield replaced after a rock from a dump truck on I-40 bounced over and cracked it. I made an appointment and waited while the windshield was replaced. The staff were very professional. I was offered coffee and water as well as a snack while I waited for the work to be completed. Their customer lounge was clean and spacious. The only negative thing I have to say about the entire experience is that the wait time was almost two hours, which cannot be helped, and I realize that. If I had known about it in advance, however, I might have planned to drop the car off and picked it up later. Ill just keep that in mind for future reference. Overall, I will certainly return to Safelite if I need the companys services again.

Insurance claim for a dime size chip. Looked pretty good when resin was first applied but once the resin settled in the next day it still looked like it did before resin was applied. Called customer service and they are not welcoming nor did she want to help me on getting the resin to be reapplied. Hope customer service improves for future customers.

Not a complainer by nature, but, this was a terrible experience. Went to the Satellite office in High Point, NC, to have a windshield ding repaired. After over an hour, the technician came out, and showing me the repair, said that it was so bad it would keep him up that night. Not knowing any better, and not wanting to complain, I left. The resin they used to fill the ding, acts like a prism, much like crystal does, and reflects the lite through the ding, making it sparkle. You just cant miss the presence of the ding! When people re riding in the car, they ask me why I dont get the ding fixed. They are surprised that it WAS fixed, just doesnt look like it. Seems like it would have been a simple thing to sand the sharp interior edges of the ding to smooth them out, then fill it with the resin. Going to their web site to make them aware doesnt work either. You cant complete a message, and their real person tester doesnt work either.

I have never experienced such professionalism and quick turn around with excellent results. Be assured that safelite takes care of all customers. Josh set me up with Uber both ways. Killed many birds in one day. They have an excellent communication system.

Great experience, was done in an hour, the difference is night and day, had a 25 year old car and they still had it in stock. Would recommend highly any Volvos needing glass.

The service was amazing and the offer free snacks while you wait. The best part is that there is a walking path that leads to a lake with a very nice sitting area. Its very open and beautiful. I would recomend this place to anyone with auto glass issues.

The call center staff was very friendly and saved me $70 by advising me that my insurance company would wave the deductible for chip repair, something of which I was totally unaware. However, the actual repair location was difficult to find, I stood outside of the sliding glass window for nearly 5 minutes before I was greeted and assisted, and the waiting room was so cold I couldn’t remove my coat or hat. However, Brandon, the repair technician, was friendly and knowledgeable and did a great job repairing the crack in my windshield.

The worst experience I have ever had. I took my vehicle there on Saturday, June 15, 2019 to get the windshield replaced. The young inexperienced tech severely damaged my A-Pillar and also damaged my windshield wiper cover on my pristinely kept 2015 Nissan Armada Platinum Reserve. Not only did she damaged my vehicle and did not tell me, but aside from me paying the $341 for the work, I just discovered she charged my card an extra $288!!!! I am beyond furious and frustrated with this horrible experience. NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO THE HIGH POINT, NC location! THEY ARE THE WORST. I am working to get them sued!!!!

Billy was very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. I had a small chip in my windshield on the passenger side at about midheight, which I tried to repair with some epoxy. However it did not fill all the cracks. I understand if it cannot be repaired if there is already some epoxy resin in the cracks, but do not take a condescending and hateful tone with me. The lady I spoke to on the phone did not tell me it couldnt be repaired. So this jerk calls me and tells me it cant be done and then still comes to my work place and meet me to tell me the same thing without even looking at the chip. He tells me the whole windshield has to be replaced which will cost me a $100 deductible with my insurance. I tell him Id rather try to repair it again myself than do that. Its not even obstructing the drivers view, so it should still pass inspection. So why would I want to spend more than I have to? He told me it cant be done. So what. Im still going to try. Why cast doubt or disrespect my efforts? Nobody wants to hire a so-called professional who is going to treat them with disrespect. Unfortunately safelite is the windshield repair company that my insurance uses, otherwise I would call someone else next time. If I am able to repair the window fully I will post pictures. I just do not appreciate being insulted.
