Great bagels but horrible customer service. You can get a great bagel/sandwich here but dont hold your breath for any sort of customer service, especially from the owner. The sign in his window solidifies his expectation of customer service.

Arrived 11/4 during posted open hours. Door is locked and someone was walking around inside but not coming to the door. The phone is not working. There’s no sign up or anything.

Extremely tasty bagels and bagel chips. I know they offer other delights, but I cant stop myself from indulging in the deliciousness of the bagels! I highly recommend the Lox, but they have lots of other savory (hello jalapeno+cheddar bagels!) and sweet options too. Just overall great. Its become our weekend breakfast spot.

Not a bad bagel. Big fat bagels. The everything bagel could have had more Everything seasoning. Ive had better and definitely way worse. Good bagels are still not easy to find here. The veggie cream cheese was good. Got a bunch to go. Small sitting area. Fairly pedestrian from what I saw. Service was quick and efficient with a jam band vibe.Turn at light and go behind the gas station. Easiest to exit that way too.

A full day later and am still daydreaming about the bagel sandwich I got there. The tomato basil bagel with sausage and cheese changed my life. Excited to try their other bagels.

Easily the best bagel in the triad. Authentic New York bagels. However the customer service is sub par at best. Twice now I’ve tried to call ahead and they either give you a hard time about calling ahead or just don’t answer the phone.

I havent been since before the pandemic and was excited to go. I ordered a dozen everything bagels and 5 of them were really burnt! I love their bacon scallion cream cheese and it and lot of others were out of stock. Also a sign said the toaster was broken.

Delish NY style bagels served on their own or as breakfast and lunch sandwiches. They have Dr. Browns soda too! This is a salt bagel with lox, cream cheese, capers, and red onions. So good and very filling. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Love coming here when Im in High Point.

All I have to say is this Bagel Fye(fire...meaning good). This is the Garlic bagel with sausage, herb cream cheese and red onions....I wont forget it is toasted! Last visit 10/5/18. Umm can I get a free one for this review🤣🤣 Seriously I love this place when it comes to breakfast and bagels, believe you me there is no competition. I am so happy that this shop has survived (thrived?) Covid. The bagels are huge and delicious.

I, as well as a few people after me, orders chocolate chip bagels. There were clearly chocolate chip bagels in the baskets waiting to be pulled. A woman after us came in and ordered two bags full of bagels and the man at the counter gave this woman all of the chocolate chip bagels (right in front of all of us who were waiting on our bagels and had already PAID for them). The man in the back preparing the bagels then called up those who ordered chocolate chip bagels and asked us what else we wanted because they were all out of chocolate chip. No apology. No compensation. Nothing. Very unprofessional and rubbed all of us the wrong way.

Outstanding bagel! Who would have thought I’d be able to get a Real NY bagel while in High Point NC at the furniture market? The marbled rye and the pumpernickel were VERY good. Nice bite and toasted crust. You can even get it with a side of Long Island/NYC attitude from owner Matt.

Good bagels. Tasty. Boiled hen baked just like the real thing. Taste is authentic. Cream cheese is not bad either. Ok the place can use a remodel and some cleaning but otherwise it’s fine. Maybe if people quit posting fake reviews they would be able to afford a remodel. I think it’s the new hip thing to write a bad review and consumers think they can somehow become a business owner and do it better. NOT. I mean just read them. There is some nut saying that she loves the food but gave them one star because she found out the donuts came from another place. So what?

Been there several times but this time, very disappointed in the experience. Entered the store and crew was all wearing their masks below their noses and one around his neck and the fourth wasnt even pretending to wear one at the cash register and in the office(with the door open). Several customers put theirs on as the came in and two young girls came in, ordered and stood in the doorway waiting for their order, without any masks on their person. There was a sign on the door per Governor order but ...!!!The food tastes good and a simple bagel price isnt bad but $13 for bagel and lox seem high. Dont know where else to get one yet. Me and my friend will probably not return soon and if we do, it will be takeout!

The staff was polite and friendly. There bagels are delicious... especially the pumpernickel and the onion (kids loved the blueberry). Wide variety of spreads. Next time we intend to try a breakfast sandwich! ** Just wanted to add that we tried the breakfast bagel sandwiches (bacon, egg and cheddar) and it is the best Ive had. Truly. Beats and fast food.

Honestly sad to post this review. I’ve been a raving fan of this bagel shop since the current owner took over (previously it was still a bagel shop, different owners). It’s probably been a couple of years now that I’ve been a regular customer and telling friends. Suddenly, everything kind of went downhill. Rude staff, lack of COVID guidelines or masks, and worst of all—they keep messing up our orders!At least the last handful of times times I’ve ordered—either in person, by phone, or via grub hub—my order has been wrong each time. I like my Bacon Egg and Cheese with cream cheese instead of sliced cheese; it’s a bagel after all. I’ve received my orderly incorrectly in a variety of ways—wrong meat, no cheese, both cheeses.Are the bagels good? Yes. But if you’re going to spend your money, I recommend opening each and every bagel to check them out before leaving.

Under new ownership but the bagels are still representing NYC, full of flavor and made fresh daily. Boiled and baked on a rack to perfection, these bagels are authentic.My favorite is the everything bagel with plain cream cheese, but there’s always someone in line ordering their breakfast sandwiches, so I’m assuming that’s another top seller. The best time to arrive is in the morning when the bagels are fresh off the rack, but the owner and his team will take care of you no matter when you stop by.This is a must-stop for me every time I’m in town and it will easily become the same for you. Check them out and support a phenomenal local business!

Just left High Point bagels on our way back north. This was the perfect place to stop for amazing bagels. The food is very fresh and tasty. After a long road trip, these are the best bagels Ive had in weeks. Highly recommend! The owner, Matt, is very friendly and makes customers feel at home.

Weve been going to High point bagel since before it had the new owner. We have had multiple bad experiences there, wrong orders, the owner making inappropriate comments to our daughter, as well as loudly cursing in front of her. But today really cemented us never going there again. Ive been in there three times when I was the only one in there with a mask on, including employees, but today the owner was there and all the employees pretended they didnt see me as they loudly discussed why they wouldnt be wearing a mask. I walked out after 2 minutes waiting at the counter for help. Not to mention they dont clean the counter in between customers or change their gloves.

I’ve been in NC for almost year and couldn’t get a decent bagel coming from the North we grew up on bagels. I’m so glad I found Highpoint bagels 😍 I had a pork roll (Taylor made) and cheese on an egg bagel and it was like I was home again, I will definitely be back again. Best bagels I’ve had since moving here.

Everyone treats you like family here. Crispy bagels, so many choices and the cream cheese is good too. I love that you can get breakfast and lunch sandwichs....So glad its a new owner

High Point Bagels makes as excellent and authentic of a New York bagel as you will find anywhere outside of the Big Apple. There is one warning however, for the tender-eared: this place boldly showcases the New York attitude—the employees are very friendly, but they will throw around F-bombs like confetti at New Year’s. For example, while eating my bagel and schmear, I overheard the three or four employees talking about some guy they knew and his prison sentence. Their banter was peppered with at least four F-bombs, 2 MFers, and several S-bombs. This does not bother ME, but I shutter to think of how someone like my mother would react to that. So just be aware.They showcase their authenticity, in part, in that one of their meat options is “Taylor Ham”. This is as New York/New Jersey as it gets.The Taylor Ham, egg, and cheese on a sesame seed bagel was exceptional—perfectly toasted, perfectly chewy, perfectly assembled. You get the gist: perfect.I also had an Everything bagel with cream cheese and it was equally phenomenal. Their cream cheese is the dense kind that I like and is outstanding.The place could use a little sprucing up inside and out, but it’s really about the bagels, and they are outstanding.

I LOVE High Point Bagels!! I stop a few times a week. The customer service is AWESOME and the bagels are DELICIOUS, and the people are SUPER friendly. For me its like Cheers...i never have to tell them what I want they automatically grab my poppyseed bagel and bag it up as soon as I walk in...a great start to my mornings

Great Bagels, fast service, friendly owner. Tried this place for the first time this morning and my wife and I really were happy to find a NY quality bagel place. I had cinnamon raison with taylor ham and cheese. It was perfect. Coffee was great and they have real half and half in the refrigerator to use in your coffee. This is our new bagel place. Try it you wont regret.

This place is starting to become a Saturday morning staple for my fiance and I. Awesome fresh bagels, New York style, and a variety of great cream cheeses and breakfast sandwiches. Just pure and simple high quality breakfast. Staff is friendly too, and not in that fake coffee barista way. Theyre actually really nice people! Not sure what was wrong with the old owners (just moved here) but its definitely great now!

Stopped in to try the place, only ordered a donut and coffee. The donut was stale and flavorless. The only taste came from the chocolate icing on top. The donut itself tasted like cardboard. Possibly the worst donut Ive ever eaten. The coffee was nothing to write home about, and not overly hot. Probably not coming back.

Im sad to say that I was disappointed.I ordered a Chocolate chip bagel with plain cream cheese. First of all they are VERY generous with their cream cheese. Normally that would be a great thing but in this case the half inch thick or more layer of cream cheese overpowered the taste of the bagel. The bagel was toasted which is always nice but in this case it made the bagel kind of hard and when I bit into it the thick layer of cream cheese squeezed out. If I had know this ahead of time I would have requested the cream cheese on the side. As for flavor... alone and untoasted Im sure the bagel would have been better, but when it was toasted the bagel picked up an oniony flavor that I can only assume came from the toaster. Onion and chocolate define dont pair well.However I will go back and give them another try but I will order a bagel sandwich instead.
