A local gem, 10/10. I started frequenting this place for lunch almost every other work day, thanks to recommendations from my co-workers. Me and my co-worker love coming here for the daily specials, such as Meatloaf Monday.The PEOPLE are what make this place special. This is the kind of place where you are treated nice, but you are treated like family when you come often! Love the conversation. The prices are done well, the management is very nice, as well as the waiters and kitchen staff.Get the Meatloaf sandwich, some banana pudding and enjoy! Youll love the PepperMill Cafe!
The food is amazing. Quick and pleasant service. This is always my go to each time I dont take lunch to work. You can even call ahead to save time.

Me and My Co-worker have been going to Peppermil Cafe for lunch over the last two years(almost every day at one point).The staff is extremely friendly and professional.The food portions are GREAT for the price.The coffee is great.NEVER had a bad experience.We are really proud to frequent this cafe and will return every week.

Good service and good food. Nice big, fluffy, hot homemade biscuits. Only one complaint, the gravy lacked a good sausage taste even though it did contain sausage. Id definitely go back for breakfast again and Id like to taste their lunch. Maybe next time.
Another place with a good home cooking. They have a wide variety of food and its all good. The service was good and there was plenty of room the tables were not bunched up. Give it a try I dont think youll be unhappy.

Absolutely love eating here. I rarely give 5 stars because theres always room for improvement. However, I have always enjoyed my experience here every single time. It doesnt matter how busy they are. The waitresses find a way to be attentive and ensure you are having a good experience. Highly recommend it if your looking for that homey diner experience.

Would give it no stars but that’s not an option. To start our waitress took someone’s else order before ours that was seated after us. We had to keep asking for things like napkins, hot sauce, etc. Food was ok needed a lot of seasoning. Then to top it off I found a hair in my food. Bathrooms were horrible. Whole place was ran down. Staff stood around in the kitchen area just talking. Hostess was the best part.

Didn’t bother sitting down to eat after we were RUDLY greeted and the waitress was huffing and puffing then huffed one more time to say it would be a wait. Wouldn’t have minded waiting because we were a party of 7 but when the customer service sucks, NO THANKS 😊

Service was really no good hamburger was dry and I mean dry. French fries were good. On the menu it saids you get a pickle..you do get one but its a small slice. What a joke. I personally will not go back. The prices are high considering the quality of the food

A good old country breakfast with biscuits and sausage gravy was a real treat. Along with a ham and cheese omlette it was a very satisfying meal. The pricing bus a bit too high but the service was primo.

The amount you get is not worth the price you pay.I would be okay with the pricing if the staff was getting paid the amount of money I paid for two small meals for me and my date. Stopped here from out of town for no particular reason other than lunch. Found the place clean with a diverse menu. Picked an item off of the daily specials along with another sandwich meal from the regular menu. Fries were just slightly under cooked but still fine. Everything on the plate was good.I did have to ask for the daily special price for one meal since the ticket did not reflect the correct pricing but that was handled easily and quickly.If I was a local, this would be a regular stop for sure.
They have a huge menu, that makes it difficult to decide what to eat. Many of my friends come her, and they claim they have never had a dish they did not like. This was my first time here, and I was pleasantly surprised to find more healthy choices on the menu than is normally offered. I selected the quesadillas, and the were very tasty. The Staff are very nice, helpful, and quick. This is a very good place to eat. You should try it.

My husband and I stopped in while driving through the area after being recommended by a local, however, I personally wouldnt say I do recommend. The staff look overworked and exhausted, mind for maybe two people we saw that generally just looked bored, and entitled feeling. We wouldnt have come to those conclusions had we not overheard one of them, a middle aged woman, in FRONT of us, belittle the staff that she seemed to feel in charge of. She belittled them and suggested that they were the ones not working - when my husband and I watched nearly everyone but the very person who complained - running around the ENTIRE duration of our meal. As someone who works in management, I was disgusted to witness such behavior. To watch an authority figure talk down onto her own employees when they did not deserve it, when we sat and watched the same authority bat her eyelashes at another table for 10 minutes straight - was appalling - and really, really, sad. the food was excellent - would love to return - But we are people that believe in equal and fair treatment, which is clearly not something thats given to every employee here. Please take this and learn how to treat the people that WORK FOR YOU as the human beings that they ACTUALLY are.

Small hometown feels in big city High Point! Delicious breakfast selections cooked to order, good prices, clean, neat, comfortable dining area and friendly, efficient wait staff! Travelled 50+ miles to visit, will definitely be back soon!

Sometimes the breakfast is good, sometimes it’s not. This use to be our weekend breakfast spot, but the staff has slowly ruined it for us. Anytime we get Cheryl as a server it’s the worst service ever. Not friendly whatsoever, never get any refills and it’s a bother if you need anything extra. We had to ask another server for refills on our drinks because she was no where to be found. When the other server brought our refills she was laughing about how nobody could find the ice scoop, and they found it at the bottom of the ice bin (don’t tell customers that.) No wonder their sanitation score is a 90. Staff is rude to their customers, except for a handful of them who actually care about their jobs. No wonder this place never has anybody eating in there when we go.
I wasnt very happy with the service... It lacked the welcoming... There were just a few customers but I felt like she was pushing me out. Your ticket is tossed on the table and then instead of offering refills youre offered a to go cup.... She intentionally didnt return to my table til I finished my meal. Which was great by the way. Plentiful and delicious. But I would have like better service. It may have been different if they were busy or short staffed but neither was the case ..
Was on a business trip and found this place on google. Awesome for breakfast. Extra,extra,extra,extra clean. Price are good. Plate are good. My wife and I would return to this place next year for sure !

The chicken souvaliki had great flavor. The service was great. I got the small side side which they call a monkey salad its maybe a cup. It also come with a tiny dressing so I asked for an extra one. It was .29 and my iced tea was $1.99 these dont sound like much but my total was $12.47 and didnt include a tip. It was a little on the expensive side for what it was. I might try again but order something different. The baked spaghetti was $8.99 and looked huge. Just beware they seem to charge extra for everything extra.
Words cannot describe how much I love this place. Best breakfast in High Point. They are also very involved in supporting Special Olympics and local police/fire. Great people all the way around.
Always went by here and never tried it then decided to give it a shot. Tried their breakfast and wasnt too disappointed. Was decent better than waffle house. Only complaints is the gravy is bland, and service from waitresses could be improved. But a very cute little restaurant.

Really nice place on a corner intersection. Attentive staff and newly redesigned menus with alot of variety! Hard to pick what to eat, but they do have daily specials. Good prices and seating is nice and welcoming.

This was our first time to visit the Peppermill Cafe. For first timers, Ill mention that you enter the cafe at the side entrance and exit through the door facing Main Street. We arrived a little before regular lunch time and were promptly seated. Many people started coming in after we were there. It took us awhile to browse the extensive menu. You can check the menu out ahead of time online. We both ordered the Two Chili Dog Combo that costs $7.29. You receive two chili dogs, a huge portion of fries, and a drink for that price. Our chili dogs had what tasted like home made chili, mustard and onions. We requested the slaw on the side. We each got a custard cup size portion of slaw. We liked our chili dogs. The fries were hot and fried golden on the outside. The slaw was simply okay - it tasted like it had been around for a while and really wasnt seasoned at all. We also received drinks in the combo. I ordered mine without ice and got a glass filed with ice. My only refill - after I had again requested no ice - was a glass partially filled with diet soda. This ice in drink issue was the only time our service was not good. The cashier was very slow and the line to pay was backing up towards the entry door. So we sat down until the line to pay got smaller. We enjoyed the meal we had here and think you will, too.

The menu is terrible laid out doesn’t say everything that’s on the food. The spaghetti doesn’t say it comes with cheese. The wraps don’t say they only have spinach wraps. The staff didn’t even know the wraps were spinach wraps when I asked. Everyone that works in the kitchen should know what is made with the food. Not a very good experience. Wouldn’t recommend.
This place has some really good food
Food is great (do not get biscuits or gravy for breakfast; biscuits are soggy and impregnated with butter grease, gravy is tasteless -- but toast is great). Absolutely perfect eggs and bacon. Pork dishes are superb, onion rings great, appetizers excellent. Service usually is excellent, but if you get the wrong waitress you will wait 15 minutes before placing your order, not get what you ordered, and certainly not get refills. Give this place a try if you are local. You will like it. If you get the wrong waitress, just ask for a different server. Prices are reasonable.

If you are looking for a local restaurant that has a great variety of menu items, The Pepper Mill Cafe is the one to go to! They have pasta, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, hot dogs, meat and vegetable plates and salads. There is something for just about anyone at the Pepper Mill Cafe.
