Plenty of toys to choose from, and a lot of toys to test-drive in the store. Its reasonably well kept-up and clean. The workers arent very helpful, but its generally easy to find what youre looking for because the organization of everything is very logical. Prices are generally pretty good.

Generally speaking our trips here have been your pretty standard experience. No one is extremely helpful, they are all very pleasant, but the products more or less sell themselves and no one goes out of their way to do anything extra (like most big box retailers). I was a little unhappy yesterday though because my 70 year old mother went with the grand kids yesterday to buy a new stroller for the baby. They refused to take an already assembled stroller out of the box and unfold it for her, or even help her to the car with her purchase, citing liability issues. I dont understand how they can assemble power wheels and bicycles for an extra fee and that apparently does not entail any liability. Their handicapped parking is not that great there so I wish they would take the whole situation into consideration and call a manager for a final judgement call if they dont have the authority to open a box.

3 days trying to contact the store and nobody can answer the phone. I understand the are closing the store and maybe they dont care anymore but they should give great customer service until the end.

I purchased a Bike from the Gurnee store. When I opened it to put it together for a Christmas present, I noticed it was all scratched up. The day after Christmas I called them to let them know. I was told I could bring it back but I would have to pay $10.00 more for the one on the floor that has already been put together ( which was also scratched up). After calling a few stores I did find one at the Toys R Us in Highland Park. I explained the situation to the Joe the manager. He put the one to the side. When my wife arrived he opened the box to make sure she was satisfied with the shape of the bike. He then added bubble wrap in there to make sure it did not get scratched up in transit to my house. I think Joe went over and beyond what he is expected to do. Therefor I would like to Thank Joe. Thank you Joe.

I will be sorry to see it gone. Hope this store stays in business. Trying to do my part.

Nice big with a lot to choose from for all the toys. Diaper section is kind of small if you want to bulk buy.

I hate this store. Its understaffed messy and the stuff is stacked super tall. They also never know if they have stuff in stock if you look it up online.

I live in the city and have always done my Black Friday shopping at this store. I am so sad to see it close in April, I will have to see where else I can do my toy shopping. Thank you TRU everything!!!
