Rude Staff, Very unprofessional. I asked the employee if he had a mask and he told me to put on the dirty used one that was left on the counter. Bonus was that they didn’t even have the part in stock, save yourself some time and money and buy what you need on Amazon.

My wife and I are renovating the kitchen and needed new lighting. Idlewood has a great selection and their customer service was fantastic. Ania was amazing. She walked us through many options, and asked a lot of questions about our needs. She went above and beyond and did everything you could ask for in a salesperson . We highly recommend her and Idlewood.

Long waits at electrical parts counter for years. Salesmen chit-chat with electricians while you stand there waiting and waiting. Idlewood sales policies and returns are stuck in 1990 - long waits for an old dot-matrix printer to finish and get signed by 3 people - if theyre around.Dont let them change your mind when you like a certain color of LED strip lights. They are no help at buying expensive items like that.I buy from Amazon - much quicker - and often cheaper.A mystery how they stay in business. Wait. I know why.Their sales floor of $1,000 chandeliers and other over-priced fixtures help profits to pay for a slow staff.

Welcoming and always has answers for all your electrical needs. They have a show room with loads of fixtures new and vintage, as well as a supply house in the back.

Pros are selection of lighting fixtures, chandeliers are broad, covering all different styles from modern, contemporary, industrial, etc.Cons would be the cost of standard electrical components vs. a home depot or other hardware store - very expensive!!Advice if you are looking for the most up to date / trending fixtures this is your place, if you are looking for standard fixtures likely better off at a hardware megastores.

Quick in and out when you use the will call service

Came in for some fixtures for our new house and Kathy was amazing. She knew the product and was able to explain pros and cons of certain products. Also had to use the back counter a few times to get some switches and wall plates. All the guys were great. They were able to explain the differences between some dimmers for me. Prices were very reasonable too. Im sure Ill be back soon to get my Caseta dimmers.

If its related to lighting and electrical, they likely have it. Go in the front for the showroom and fixture selection. Go in the contractors entry in the back if youre looking for electrical installation parts or esoteric electrical supplies. However, they are focused on assisting tradesmen, and dont suffer fools gladly. All fools should use the front door. ;-)

I come here multiple times a day to get materials for work. Fast and convenient.

Shipping and receiving is the worst part of this business!!! The obviously inebriated older forklift guy is so rude, seems as if he has very bad life. His supervisor is no different, and then there is the guy that constantly curse. Seems that the deliveries are a major inconvenience for them. If Idlewood Electric hates deliveries, they need to stop ordering, this way their pathetic employees and supervisors can stop rubbing off their miserable existence onto the drivers.

Both times I was there, I was treated so poorly. The first time, I looked past it because the store was really busy and it was close to closing time. The other day, I went there again and I couldnt believe how TERRIBlE the service was. The store was not busy and I was passed at least 8 times by employees and did not have ONE person greet me or ask if I needed help. Some guy (I dont know if hes the owner?) but he was walking around talking on his phone. I grew more furious by the minute and it got to the point where I was so blown away, I just stood there WAITING for someone to acknowledge me. I was shocked and refuse to go back there. Find another light store -- RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
