I had a great experience here this morning. The doctor was really great, explained things well and was so warm. Judy at the front desk was also really lovely. Overall a very positive experience and I recommend this practice.

Dr Sarah was awesome! She helped explain my hearing loss and what kind of hearing aid options are best for me. She was very kind and made sure to tell them that I can take my time to make any decisions about the process. Not pushy or dismissive like some of the previous audiologists I have been to. My fiancé also came with me and was able to ask questions about the process as well. Highly recommend!

My left hearing aid failed to work yesterday and Judy got me an appointment for late the next day. The technician who repaired the aid wa kind, and competent. Better yet, she solved the problem and the aid was repaired under warranty. I only had to pay for the visit. Great company and service.

I met with Dr. Ronna Fisher from Hearing Health Center at Highland Park and it was one of the most productive and informative meetings I had. Ronna not only did the hearing test but she took the extra time to help me understand what’s best for me and she answered all my questions. During our meeting with Ronna, I had the chance for the first time in my life to actually try out a hearing aid and see what I am missing out! I would definitely recommend Ronna and her staff.

As a patient of Dr. Emily Trittschuh, I can tell you that you won’t be disappointed if you are lucky enough to have her as your audiologist.She knows her stuff and takes the patience to make sure you are fitted for your hearing loss. She will answer all your questions and make herself available either with emails, remote adjustments to your hearing aids and if necessary give you an in person visit if needed to make those adjustments when necessary. I’ve had a hearing loss for over 20 years; hearing aids for 5. I seldom would wear them because they didn’t really help even though they were checked several times. The doctor here listened to me, got different domes which go further in my ears. Today at work, I didn’t have to ask one person to repeat themselves! Even with masks on I could still hear the softest speaking person!!

The hearing test was eye opening. So glad I did this. I knew I was losing some words so they asked me to bring in my husband or someone I spoke to daily so they participate in the tests on me. The doctor was great as was the office help. The only reason I didnt give a 5 star is I think they need to have someone besides the doctor on site to answer questions for after the first couple days. When they are explaining everything its a lot to take in and remember ;-)

Ive been a patient at HHC for over ten years. Friends encouraged me to face premature hearing loss, and fortunately HHC was right across the street from my office. Since then Ive had check-ups at every single one of their locations, lately frequenting Highland Park. Every step of the way, every location, every professional, has been conducted with care and with my best interests in mind. HHC is also mindful of how hearing loss affects family members; their suggestion to bring my wife to some appointments has been very valuable. Today I had a drive-by appointment... and even though I stayed in my car, everything was handled as Ive described above.

I was referred to Hearing Health Center and I am so happy I was. From the warm welcome I always receive from Judy to Dr. St. John with her knowledge and expertise, its been a great experience. I originally came in with my heart set on purchasing the Cross-over hearing aids, but ended up trying and then purchasing Lyric hearing aids too. The Lyric are literally life changing, particularly if youre active and want to be worry free about potentially losing your hearing aids. Being able to wake-up, shower and going to bed wearing the Lyric still installed and turned on has been just amazing. I highly recommend Hearing Health Center.

Although the following may seem excessive, it is not an exaggeration: Dr. Hilary MacCrae’s knowledge, professionalism, sensitivity, dedication, and genuine concern have been amazing. She has gone above and beyond in many ways for our 92-year-old mother. The latest incident where she was instrumental was during our mothers recent hospitalization for a broken hip and arm. Because of Covid-19, no visitors were allowed in the hospital. Someone lost one of my mother’s hearing aids, so not only was she isolated in the hospital without any family member, but she could not hear us when we called her. She could barely hear the nurses and doctors. When we contacted Dr. MacCrae to explain our dilemma, she immediately reassured us that she would get us new hearing aids as quickly as possible, which she did. She wrote a detailed letter accompanied by recent research to the hospital administration explaining why my mother needed the hearing aids she recommended for her, so that we could be reimbursed by the hospital for the loss. Dr. MacCrae has spent a great deal of time with us, sharing her expertise with patience and kindness. We are very grateful!

My mother is 90 years old. Over the last 5 yrs I have noticed that she has had difficulty hearing. I see this questioning look on her face when we are out shopping. She does not hear everyone and has trouble hearing me. I finally convinced her to see an audiologist, Dr. St. Peter.After the hearing test it was determined that she had severe hearing loss. She began using the hearing aids. She was adjusting to it. After 2 weeks I started noticing a dramatic change in her. She was more confident and relaxed. She has a much more positive outlook. She tells me that she hears everything in church now and that she told her grandson to stop talking so loud. Referred by my internist, I finally yielded so I would hear my grandkids better.Dr St Peter and the facility and staff are first rate from the first call, through friendly reception, considerate timeliness, completeness of examination and thoroughness and clarification, customizing and fitting fitting, and follow ups. Excellent, professional. The equipment is not cheap, but excellent convenient high tech truly reawakened my hearing and other senses. Highly recommended.

Visited center for first time. Problem with hearing aid purchased elsewhere. Tech checked the device, determined that it needed to be sent to manufacturer, and offered to send it for us but were leaving town so will have the center where it was purchased deal with it. The staff at HHC were professional, extremely helpful and the experience couldnt have been better. Also there was no charge for their service.

This is a very solid practice — I have been a patient at the flagship location downtown as well as the Highland Park location, and have had consistently good experiences at both. My husband was in denial about his hearing loss and too vain to wear hearing aids. Lyrica has been the answer for several years. The product has become more reliable and HHC is always able to fit him in when he needs an extra appointment. If you don’t want to be bothered with external hearing aids, changing batteries etc. Lyrica implanted aids are the way to go. Both of the doctors have been great but the real star of the Highland Park office is Judy the receptionist. She makes him feel at home and pampers him. She even always has a homemade chocolate chip cookie for him. As his mental faculties have deteriorated everyone is accommodating and understanding. 5 stars for service, top quality products and TLC.

I had not been hearing for years. It had become an effort to perform at work. I was exhausted and becoming horribly depressed.I did not want to admit that perhaps it was time for help.Old people need hearing devices. I, certainly, did not want to admit I wasold. After all I was still a productive member of society.My husband was a patient of Dr. Ashley at the Hearing Health Center.He scheduled a visit for me to just talk.Dr. Ashley was warm, compassionate, and understanding.I left the clinic with two Lyrics.I immediately felt better. I heard things I did not know I was not hearing.I had more energy. I was less confused and more positive about life.The devices have not been completely trouble free. It takes time to adjust,but the Center is there to help. They never become impatient or demeaning.I could now be the poster child for the use of hearing devices.Gain control of your life by seeking the professional help offered at the Center. Ive been going to Hearing Health Center - Oakbrook facility for years. Dee is a delight to work with...always friendly and helpful. Dr. Risley is very professional and knowledgeable. Over the years I have used a Dry & Store dehumidifier (over night) to keep my hearing aids clear of moisture and free of bacteria. Recently the dehumidifier stopped working, so I replaced it with the Perfect Clean device. A great improvement! In 60 minutes my hearing aids are clean. No more wax on the domes. I am very impressed and pleased with this product and highly recommend it to anyone with hearing aids.

Hearing Aid Sales, not Audiology. I went to this clinic because it was the only location in the area that my insurance covered hearing aids.As I met with the audiologist, I felt that she cared less about my hearing problems and was only concerned about selling me the most expensive hearing aid I could afford. She would not give me pricing - she wanted me to tell her how much I wanted to spend (an age-old salesmans technique!!), and when I finally did get some pricing out of her, they were round-about numbers, nothing set in stone. It seemed that she did not want to give me pricing until after I signed a contract with her.Also, she brushed off my progressive, young hearing loss as genetic when, in reality (after working with a different, knowledgeable ENT and Audiologist at a different practice) it was found to be health-related.You would think that a good doctor or audiologist would ask WHY? when seeing my hearing loss pattern at my age (Im in my 20s), but she never did.Im not one to write bad reviews, but my experience over my few visits at this office drove me to write this. If I hadnt gotten a second opinion I could have missed the correct hearing-loss diagnosis and had larger problems in the future.If youre looking to buy a hearing aid, this is your place. But, if youre looking to find an audiologist with the heart of a doctor who will actually help you, go someplace else.[note: I only worked with one of the doctors at this office; not all doctors may be this way, but Id watch out.]

After a bad experience with another company, I happened to stumble on Hearing Health Center. From the minute Judy greeted me at the locked door -- they werent open yet but she invited me inside -- I knew this would be the right company to replace my dads hearing aid.My dad is in a rehab facility, so we arranged for Dr. St. Peter to make a house call to test his hearing and, a few weeks later, deliver/set up his new aid. She handled my dad beautifully, with kindness and respect, and worked comfortably in the confines of his room and inability to move on his own. It was clear she gets tremendous gratification out of her work.I highly recommend HHC and Dr. St. Peter.

I came into Hearing Health Center after experiencing hearing loss for 25 years. I was only 22 years old when I was diagnosed with premature nerve damage, with hearing loss. I thought I could muddle through and did, until enough became too much. My hearing loss was affecting my daily life more and more, whether it was at work, with my family, or my friends. With Dr. St. Peter’s extreme patience and expertise, we selected the best hearing aid for my situation. The difference in my hearing, in such a short time, is remarkable. I am now able to understand conversations at a restaurant, hear my children speaking in the next room, different pitches, and even my husband speaking across the kitchen table from me. Instead of annoying my family by constantly asking them to repeat words (or never hearing them in the first place), I now get to annoy them by asking, “Did you just hear that?” I would not have been able to get to this point without Dr. St. Peter. The entire staff is wonderful, too, especially Judy. There are many options when choosing a hearing center, but none come close to Hearing Health Center.

I have been a client for a few years now. Made a few visits, mostly for small things. What is unusual about this business is the consistently excellent level of service no matter who you deal with. The receptionist, Judy Gavoors voice is enough to put one at ease. Bailey Wulf is super helpful as well. Most businesses these days have an air of bureaucracy - forms, yada, yada. This place is like coming to visit a friend!
