One of the best decisions I have ever made to get relief from Tinnitus. As a disabled military veteran, I have worked long and hard with other doctors to try to get relief. As a result of a minor injury a few years ago, I started experiencing some ringing and static in my left ear. I took some recommended supplements and did research on ways to minimize the condition. Nothing seemed to work until I made an appointment with Sound Relief in Highlands Ranch, CO. Dr. Smith completed extensive testing and indicated that my tinnitus was having some impact on my hearing. She recommended devices to help retrain my brain to ignore the sounds.. Over the past two years, I have been able to better manage my tinnitus - I sleep well and the tinnitus is less and less noticeable. And, my hearing has remained stable as well. I traveled from Maryland to Colorado to meet with Dr.Read for Misophonia treatment. We met once prior virtually via telehealth and she explained what occurs in the brain for Misophonia patients and she explained how sound therapy could help reduce triggers. My trigger sounds are mostly breathing, chewing and most of all snoring. I have struggled with Misophonia for over 10 years and finally felt heard and validated after meeting with Dr. Read. Just hearing that she works with people just like me made me feel like there is hope. After the consult I decided to do the treatment which you only need to go in person twice and her office was able to schedule me one day and bring me back the next so I didnt have to fly out twice. I actually made a little trip out of it! The entire staff was so friendly they even reccomended things to do in the area while I was there. Dr. Read fit me for the sound generators (they look just like small hearing aids) and I was shocked at how comfortable they are. It has only been a few weeks and I barely notice them! The sounds that play through them are very calming and although I still hear trigger sounds it does make it a bit easier to relax. She answered all my questions and my moms questions and she didnt rush me at all! She showed me how to clean them, and use them. Whats also cool us that if I need her to adjust them she can do it from Colorado virtually! She explained how we would meet virtually for our therapy sessions and already set up our follow up. My biggest issue is sleeping I sleep with ear plugs every night and still wake up even if the snoring or breathing in the room so super quiet. The goal is to sleep without ear plugs but Dr. Read introduced me to a second device it is a sound generator that plays different sounds of my choice at night. Ever since I got the behind the ear generators for during the day and the sound box at night I have finally slept so well! Im still using ear plugs but with the box it is so relaxing. I woke up one night to the sound of snoring and for the first time I was actually able to go back to sleep! (That never happens) I am hopeful that with the combination of this treatment I may even be able to sleep without ear plugs one day!

I am very pleased with the sound therapy program that Dr. Smith is providing for me. It has made a huge difference in having relief from the tinnitus. Initially, I had my doubts that anything could be done, but I’m so glad I made the decision to get more information. I love my hearing aids - really state of the art. Dr. Smith is great - she never rushes through appointments and always gives thorough explanations for the treatment plan.

Before going to Sound Relief Tinnitus & Hearing Center, I could hardly have a conversation or sleep because the tinnitus was so loud and overwhelming. Trust me when I say Im impatient with talking with folks via the web, but I found their telecare option very easy and user friendly. Please dont be intimidated with this technology. Dr. Phillips does wonders! I have been having a contestant ringing in my ears now for about 3 months and finally decided to get it checked out. I am very satisfied with my Lyric hearing aids which I have had for about three years. They have afforded me the opportunity to not be concerned about my natural hearing deficiency. I spend a lot of time hiking, skiing and biking and they make these experiences so much richer.

I first went to Sound Relief in Highlands Ranch 4 years ago in search of a cure for hearing loss and some pretty annoying tinnitus. After some extensive testing they set me up with some hearing aids equipped with a sound therapy program. I was somewhat skeptical but after a couple of months my tinnitus went from about an 8 down to a 2. I took a month off to see what would happen and it went right back up again.About an hour a day of sound therapy (barely noticeable and I can continue to do any and all activity) seems to keep my tinnitus at bay.More recently I went back in search of some hearing aids that would be more comfortable to use with a mask on. They set me up with a trial of 2 other types other types of hearing aids for no charge. Although I ended up with the same ones I started with I feel like I have a much better understanding of my hearing issues and options available.A special thankyou to Dr. Jackie Smith who was exceptionally helpful, accommodating my fickle-picky needs and answering my unending questions.

Getting hearing aids simply changed my life! Dr. Megan Read has been a life saver for me. I had major ringing and humming in my ears before I visited Sound Relief center. She tested my hearing and set me up with hearing aids that greatly improved my overall hearing, BUT, she also helped me with my tinnitus situation. My hearing aids continually send musicals tones into my ears to train my brain to ignore the sounds and the tinnitus. At first I thought she was crazy and that the tones would interfere with my life. I have been wearing the sound devices for a couple of years. Yes, I dont notice the ringing but it is there so I was becoming skeptical. Our puppy literally chewed my device. #1 they were able to completely fix it, no charge but the real eye opener was I didnt have them for 2-weeks. My ringing became louder and louder over time without them in. Once I got them back, the ringing has subsided. I learned a very valuable lesson - it really works!

The staff is professional and exceptionally service-oriented. They assisted me throughout my research of hearing aids and then guided me to the perfect solution. I never felt pressured. In fact, they spent and gave me as much time as I needed with my decision. After the purchase, the service level never dropped! I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Megan Read. I had dealt with another practice for my first pair of hearing aids but hoped I could improve my results with a new pair so I switched to Sound Relief on the recommendation of a friend. Dr. Read worked patiently with me as I tried one brand of hearing aid for ten days and then switched to a second brand for another trial. That second brand worked better for me and that is where Dr. Read really excelled. She adjusted my settings, taught me to use the phone app, and answered all my questions. When I was traveling and ran into a problem with my app, I called her. She got back to me promptly and solved my problem over the phone. Her cheerful support, her professionalism, and her responsiveness are exceptional.

Great staff! The doctor whom I worked with was very friendly and thorough. She explained everything very well and showed me my options but didnt pressure me to purchase a hearing device. She did show me the options and discussed what the insurance would pay and what my out of pocket would be. Ultimately after discussing the doctor and myself agreed that waiting for a device was my personal best option at this time. I will be using them again in a year to check my hearing again and see where I am at.

Just recently had an appointment with Dr. Julie. What a great experience! For the first time in many years I was able to hear normal conversation while attending an event with many people in the room. Before having my new hearing device I would not have been able to hear a normal conversation standing next to someone in a room full of people. The other thing I want to talk about is the great customer service I received from the hearing center. Right from the beginning I was greeted very warmly by Faith, the receptionist, and my experience only got better. My husband went there. What a mistake! Not only did his hearing aids not fit properly, it took weeks to get them replaced, and even Now, we are still unsure if they will even work. That is bad enough, but the, staff asked him if he wanted to finance. He was told there would be no interest charged for a year and it could be paid through the HSA. Little did he know, it was sent to a banK that was charging 18% interest. It was only by chance he caught that early and was only out one month’s interest. This place is just terrible!

Great staff! The receptionists recognize me when I walked in the door even on just my second appointment. Ive had tinnitus for as long as I can remember, and as soon as I tried on the hearing aids the sound was gone. Mine wasnt loud enough that it really bothered me, but now that its gone I definitely notice it when I dont have them in. Thank you!

Although I decided not to go ahead with hearing aids at this time, I was treated by great Dr. who gave me all the information in a professional manner and will some day return to this office when the time comes. She could not have been a nicer person to work with.

Saw an add for Sound Relief Hearing Center on the TV. My tinnitus had been getting progressively worse over the last 3 years. It was starting to interfere with my life. Talked to my Family Physician about it, and he recommended that I go to Sound Relief Hearing Center. Unfortunately, they did not take my insurance, but I did not let that stop me. I made an appointment, and 5 days later, I had my first appointment. Dr. Smith examined me thoroughly for hearing. Extensive hearing test, and questions about what was going on, and why I came to see them. After that she showed me the results of the hearing test, and discussed what options they had, and what she recommended. I went with the hearing devices that are designed to help with retraining the brain, this is to decrease the false signals that the brain interprets as noise that you cant hear due to reduced hearing as you age, and damage over time. Though not cheap, it sounded like a reasonable approach to the problem. The devices are similar to hearing aids, but they actually generate sound or tones that start the process of retraining the brain. In normal hearing situations, you dont usually notice them. When quiet with not distractions, you can hear the tones as if they were being played a couple of rooms away. I walked out of that appointment with high hopes and ear devices. They schedule regular follow up visits, and the first one is a week after the first one. Truth be told I did not expect to see any change in that first week, as it takes two years for the full treatment. But, I was greatly surprised to discover that one day during that week, I did not notice or think about my tinnitus once. That had not happened in the last year. I was excited and enjoyed my follow up visit. Then they scheduled another a month out. I did not see any major differences over that month, though I did have several more days of not thinking about my hearing or tinnitus. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they check up on you, and verify your appointments. I feel like I am a customer that everything revolves around. The cost of the devices is well worth it, and I look forward to reduced tinnitus problems. Though there is not much chance of total elimination of the problem. Hearing loss being a continuous process as we age. But the relief that I have experienced over 5 weeks, has me smiling again. Though I do feel much older wearing hearing devices that make me feel like I have hearing aids. And they made my ears feel itchy the first 4 or 5 days. I strongly recommend Sound Relief Hearing Center. And I plan on using them, if I have to eventually get true hearing aids.

My Grandfather was visiting me for two quick days before I flew back to Germany. His hearing aid was not working properly so I took him to Sound Relief Hearing center in Highlands Ranch and we were blown away by the service. We walked in on a staff meeting (so they were not actually open) and without an appointment. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and soon one of the doctors, Jerry, took us into his office and fixed up my Grandfathers hearing aid in ten minutes and didnt charge us a thing. My Grandfather and I were just so thankful and appreciative of everyones help, I highly recommend the Sound Relief Hearing Center for any of your Hearing Aid needs.

I have had my tinnitus/hearing aids since the end of July 2014. It is not a process of just putting them in your ears and they are perfect. Dr. Julie is so patient and kind and has always been wonderful! She has worked with me to make them perfect! The staff is awesome and it is wonderful to stop reading lips! I caught myself the other day and thoughWhy am I doing that I can hear so much better now! I think the best part is Skyping with the grandchildren.. I can hear and understand them! $5,000 for hearing aids..two speakers broke before 3 years, repair was expensive, speaker broke once again, another expensive repair. Not once while first purchasing hearing aids was a protection plan offered. Now I know why expensive repairs makes money for them. Sound relief is a joke, don’t purchase hearing aids from them go elsewhere. They don’t seek customer satisfaction!! Just pay and shut up!

Doctor Julie and the entire staff have been wonderful. This is my first venture into hearing devices and they have made a huge difference. I can enjoy television, conversations and life in general much better. It has aided in my tinnitus and enhanced the sound ranges that I can hear. I spent one year in treatment for tinnitus with Dr. Julie and got absolutely no change in my condition. It cost $4,000 - zero benefit. Their ad boasts treating thousands of patients, meaning theyve made millions of dollars, but I see no glorious reviews saying hallelujah, Im cured!! The good reviews talk about how nice they are, and they are nice. But I believe the treatment is a sham. Save your money!

They sent it in and were able to get some sort of extended warranty for me or something, and it didnt cost me a thing! SO helpful! I have yet to have a bad or negative experience here.

After suffering hearing loss and tinnitus for over 35 years due to an injury during live fire in the Marine Corps, I finally decided it was time to stop saying “what” in every conversation. I did a lot of research before shopping around for hearing centers. I picked Sound Relief after a visit for an initial exam. I saw Dr. Kenzie Phillips and she confirmed all my research and answered all my questions, I had many. The exam was conducted with very modern equipment and matched my military records, with a subsequent loss after so many years, so I know it was correct. I elected to purchase the Resound Linx Quatro level 9. These are top of the line and state of the art hearing aids that I had picked out during my research before seeing Dr. Phillips. It was great to hear Dr. Phillips recommend the very brand and model that I already wanted. They have been a godsend for me and worth every dollar I spent. My tinnitus is now controllable and much less troublesome, and my hearing is very much improved. My wife is thrilled, even though I now have to ask her to not talk so loudly. Dr. Phillips and the entire Sound Relief staff are simply wonderful to work with and I highly recommend them to anyone that wants to stop suffering. An added bonus is that they researched my insurance and told me, that I had a benefit.

I saw Dr Julie and Sound Relief Hearing Center just over 1 year ago. I can say with all my heart, Dr Julie and Patrick saved my life. For any of you with Tinnitus you understand the frustration and anxiety of not being able to function with such noise in your ears. I truly was at the end of my rope, not knowing how to cope, when I went to seek help from Dr. Julie. I started my Tone Therapy and within 2 weeks my anxiety was gone and I was functioning again. I still have tinnitus in both ears but it has become my norm and I can live with it. The level of sound is a bit is a bit lower . Both Dr.Julie and Patrick care abut their patient well being .

Not only is Dr. Julie knowledgeable about her trade, she has a great manner with her patients. And she genuinely seeks to help, even in cases where clients have struggled for years before being referred to her office.

As a Boomer, I knew my hearing was off and my girlfriend started thinking I wasnt listening to her. While the staff at Sound Relief was pleasant, I was misdiagnosed. I spent over $3000 on hearing-aids to help with tinnitus.After a fruatrating year with the hearing aids, I visited a Kaiser MD. They performed a few tests; treatment is underway for Eustation Tube Dysfunction, and for just a couple of co-pays.See an MD.

For some time my hearing had been declining due to tinnitus. I was not able to clearly hear what my friends, co-workers and most importantly my wife were saying, which I later determined was causing me to often stay out of social conversations in group settings. It actually became stressful, but I didnt realize it until I met with Dr Prutsman. She cares about her patients and she had no limit to the amount of time she, and her team, spent with me to test my hearing level and to determine the best remedy for my situation. There was no rush to the next patient...it was all about me and getting my questions answered. Although there were other options, Dr Prutsman suggested the Widex system, and immediately after a trial use I heard sounds that I had been missing. I no longer answer my wifes conversations with huh?, and am much more relaxed in social settings. The system I am using is virtually invisible to others and the Zen therapy program relaxes my tinnitus. Thank you Dr Prutsman, Faith, Cyndi and the rest of the staff...you put me in the right place.

Well worth the effort to get there, I finally found someone to help with my ringing in my ears.

Great little mother-daughter shop

This place has the most annoying commercial. I had this sound in my ears for years and I am VERY SENSITIVE TO IT and you BLAST it at me and if I cover my ears its all I hear and reminds me of mine and brings it back. I called you guys and complained weeks ago and you still play it. I would NEVER GO TO YOU FOR ANYTHING.

Everyone from the front desk gals to the Drs are fabulous, friendly, and so helpful .

The webste constantly crashes both browswer and fb, they advertise free giveaways then make it impossible to enter. i supose they pay or adds but they dont help all around so avoid unless south in littleton, but go someplace LESS frustrating then hermaking this same comment in fb and twitter and a few other places. they may not respond and havent so far, so lets see what world thinks. They have proven they do not really care since good doctors do respond to fb and twitter

Discovered I have tinnitus by free exam and they cleaned ears for free, plus a proposed treatment plan. Very friendly.
