We got some custom framing done here and Emerald was amazing. There was an issue with our frame being backordered and Emerald communicated quickly to give us all our options. She was professional and beyond helpful for a problem that was out of her control. Our pictures turned out beautifully. We will be back.

All the art supplies you need in one spot with knowledgeable, friendly, attentive staff. Prices are comparable to other stores and you can actually find what you need! I came in thinking I needed one kind of pencil, but after describing my project to the owner Robert, he suggested something totally different that worked even better. Bonus of local rotating art displayed in the store and art classes held here periodically.

They have a very good selection, and I really enjoy getting supplies there. My only problem is their hours, every time I seem to want to go, whether its a Sunday or whatever, it always seems to be closed. Besides that, I HIGHLY recommend, great art stop.

Great little local art supplies shop in downtown Hillsboro, right next to the farmers market, seems to have a good selection of creative materials from beginner to professional levels. I like that they display work from local artists and seem invested in their community.

Emerald was really helpful in helping me figure out how to set up my photos for her to frame them properly and professionally with the lowest cost, possible. Art supplies for the serious artist found here! Things you cant find at Michaels.I needed to spend around $400 on a studio easel and went here to get some guidance. I ended up spending a bit more but only because I opted for a sturdier product with more functions.The person working was named Emerald and she was super helpful, knowledgeable and provided me many options to satisfy what I was seeking. I even got a follow-up call from her asking how i liked the purchase.Support local businesses!

I ordered a roll of paper from them in February. I was under the impression it would be there quickly, but it took over a month. I ended up buying different paper to get my work done. I intended to come in and buy it anyhow, but Ive been really stressed about my senior project- which Im presenting to my faculty tomorrow morning. This evening a received a call from the guy working there that was very rude, basically saying not to shop at Colors anymore. It took them like a month to get the paper in (or at least contact me about it) but then he was calling all the time. Im a busy person. A full time student. A double major. Technically I have three jobs and no time to sleep. I still intended to buy the paper anyhow since apparently its a huge problem for them to just put it in their shop inventory. What a jerk, though. Sorry I had too much going on to pick up paper I didnt need anymore by the time you wanted it. I WILL be taking my business to dick blick, where I am treated with respect and professionalism. Enjoy that $500+ I wont be spending in colors per year from here on out.
