We had an amazing experience here when it was Bruce Chevrolet. Now that they changed owners theyre more into harassing people than selling cars. They call and text my husband nearly everyday to sell him or trade him vehicles and its really getting out of hand. Just because business is bad doesnt mean you need to call and harass potential customers. You definitely wont be getting our business.
Purchased a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox from Dick’s Chevrolet and it needs a new transmission after I have only driven it for a few months.I have difficulty believing that the dealership had no knowledge of the faulty transmission and feel taken advantage of.I was told I would receive the latest inspection report but it has not been sent. The sale has already been made, I am not a priority. Not convinced that “the human touch” of old school dealerships is worth it compared to buying from alternatives like Shift.
We sent one of our fleet vehicles here for service work. We ran into a few hiccups during the process. Robin in the service department listened to our concerns and worked out a good solution. I would highly recommend this service department and dealership! They truly care for their customers :)
Great friendly staff, always someone to greet me when I visit! Dar made me feel comfortable with his down to earth approach! He was patient with me and didnt make me feel pressured! The team fit me with the right vehicle to fit my budget and price range! Joseph ( I believe) is his name went above and beyond, he offered to buy us food as we were there for hours. Everyone knows that buying a new car is a daunting situation but the entire team at Bruce Chevrolet made it seamless. Travis was incredibly down to earth and very transparent through the process. Truck shopped here today for a new Chevy 1500 diesel. Our salesman had over an hour to prep if he wanted to( since we told him exactly what we wanted). Was not prepared, had zero info, didnt answer a single question, and kinda creeped me out(typical car salesman).He basically said its not really the time for shopping. Inventory is so low youd be lucky to have this truck. But we wont let you test drive it since its brand new. We need to drive it first. Lame to drive 2 hours for this experience. We left because we hated the service.

A shout out to Don in the service department. Lost the keys to my old truck, didnt have a spare set. Called him to get a price on a new ignition switch and door locks. Don quoted me the parts and then said wait a minute, whats your VIN? He was able to look up my 1989 exact truck key specs and cut me a new one right there. $3.75. I didnt even know that was possible. Saved my bacon and saved face for me too. Thanks Don! Great experience, great service, Ill be back.

The main issue I had was the inability to get parts moving in a timely manner. My truck sat at the dealership for a week waiting on a part. I work for a 20 billion Euro company and we can get parts from around the world within 72 hrs, yet you are getting parts from Texas and it takes 72 hrs. This makes it difficult to recommend others regardless if you do good work or not.

The work that was done was fine and I am happy with that.My issue is many employees were walking around the business without mask or improperly wearing one. They had signs saying mask required. I can visually see they dont care. I will not return.
Researching the vehicle I wanted to buy and went to a local dealership who had just sold the one they had online and did not know when others would be in. Reached out to other dealerships and found one, put it on hold and the next day they sold it :( My wife reached out to several others and found the exact one at Bruce Chevrolet. put it on hold and made an appt for the weekend to drive over an hour to see and possibly buy this one. They held it for us like promised!!!. The overall experience was awesome in that it was ready to go when we got there test drove it (managed to get a flat tire that they fixed) did not get hassled about financing as we were pre approved. Sales manager and our sales person Travis were outstanding. I have never had a better buying experience in the 35 years of buying cars. This is for the SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I cannot speak towards any other departments. We brought a customer vehicle in for a warranty valve cover gasket repair. They claimed to have replaced the gasket and vehicle was good to go. We got the car back leaking more oil than before, luckily we caught it and took it back in. After we took the vehicle back for them to check their work, we waited a week before we got an answer, we had to call them everyday to get updates, no response from the advisor or service manager until our manager stepped in. They then claimed no fault stating the leak was caused by a stripped out bolt and they dont know how it got stripped out. Wanted to charge us $300 range to get it fixed when there was no communication as to a stripped bolt when we originally took it in for warranty work. Plain and simple all they needed to do was the right thing and take care of their misstep. Not good business practice.
Horrible service! This is the first review I’ve ever written and it’s because I was treated with horrible customer service. I took my Chevrolet Malibu a week and half ago to get a diagnostic for what was going on with my car stereo and they said at first it was the radio amplifier. They were going to charge me $400 for it and I agreed if they were going to fix my stereo. But a week later they said they weren’t able to fix the problem and that I needed to pay $1400 to now fix it. Their excuse was that their diagnosis could only diagnose one thing after another one is fixed and I would have to pay the first problem even if it didn’t fix the car. So it benefits them because they’ll charge you for one problem and they won’t tell you there’s another one until after they charge you for that first one. I ended going to them physically and asked to speak to the manager because I was only willing to pay for the diagnosis and he was worse than I expected. STEPHEN BECKER the manager of the service center threatened my mother and I with keeping the car and doing a lien on it if we didn’t pay for the service that THEY said would fix the problem, but didn’t. At the end, we had to pay the money that he said to take out our car. Don’t get your service at Bruce Chevrolet in Hillsboro because all they care about is taking your money.
Bought a used car from Bruce Chevrolet with the help of Salesperson James Lewis. The test drive was really nice and James was very knowledgeable about the car even though it was not a Chevrolet. He was very gracious with my wife and me throughout the entire process. No high pressure tactics at all and it was a smooth and easy process.

I’m an African American male so typically going to a dealership is rather difficult for me. But trust me when I walked In I felt right at home. I was greeted by a young gentleman by the name of Travis. Very inviting and willing to work with my financial situation. I recommend anyone going to Bruce Chevrolet to stop by and ask for Travis. Although there service is decent at most . Sales in on top of there game . Would recommend anyone this dealership.
I purchased a pickup from this dealer in December of 2020. I wrote a check for the total purchase price of the truck and the manager wouldnt accept the check without checking my credit score. I thawed my credit to allow him access to my credit score and the purchase went through. A month later I received a letter in the mail stating that this crummy dealer was denying me credit to purchase the truck and this was leaving a ding against me on my credit score. I really didnt think much of this until I went to refinance my house in April and this ding became something to explain to the lender. Needless to say, I really expected more from Chevrolet. Joseph and Jose, this is for you.

The two of us dont ever recall having a more pleasant auto buying experience than what transpired for us yesterday at Bruce Chevrolet in Hillsboro. Our salesperson, Jose Otañez, could not have been more thorough and pleasant. The same can be said for Joseph Piazza who handled the contract side, MOST OFTEN the worst part when purchasing a new car. The facilities were very clean and the car was spotless upon delivery. We were initially only comparison shopping, when we found the vehicle we wanted - with no checkbook in hand or title for our trade-in. Not to worry .... Jose drove 30+ miles through the dreaded Portland rush hour traffic to our home in Vancouver which saved us a trip back to Hillsboro today.THAT is going above and beyond!Jim/JoanVancouver

I wish I could give these guys less then one star. We have a Chevy Sonic, The battery died; completely and while it sat for two weeks squirrels chewed 2 wires; clearly obvious on top of the engine a blind person could find the bad wires. We had it towed to Bruce Chevy for repairs. Simple fix replace battery fix 2 wires. Since then they have locked the keys in the car and had to call us to come with the other key to unlock it. Called and told us their diagnostic machine said there was only one cut wire and argued with us about it. We had to drive down to physically show them both the cut wires. They didnt even pop the hood to look! If your professional technicians cant replace a battery and find two bad wires how could you trust them to make any actual repairs that require skill? Oh and were two weeks in and its still not fixed... I highly recommend you take your Chevy to a different dealership with actual skilled professional technicians if you need any type of repairs.
We just moved here from Washington and didn’t know of a reliable place to take our car. This is the only place I will bring our cars from now on. Fast, reliable and fair. Hard to find ones like this. We got lucky! Highly recommend!
This is absolutely one of the worst dealerships I have ever worked with. We have recently gone through a bankruptcy and tried to get a car here. We ended up after a full day here walking away with something that we liked. A week later they call us back saying the lender changed their minds and we had to come back in. I understand sometimes that happens but here is the absolute worst part. They told us they found another lender with the same exact deal and all we needed to do was come in and resign. So we were alright with that. We drive up in one car (the new one) only for them to tell us that the deal was off the table and a new payment of $200 more a month on top of what the old payments were was the best they could do. We couldnt do that so they had to take the car back. They left us there with no courtesy ride home no nothing. We had to pay over $100 to get back home for an Uber ride. This place and these people are disgusting. At least do us the courtesy to tell us we may have to turn the car in and so bring a backup vehicle just in case. I will never support Bruce or this business ever again and I will tell my friends to no longer come here for any vehicles. How can you kick someone who is already down. Gross. Thanks guys for adding to this already horrible year. Hope you have a better one than ours.

First time I brought my truck here they repaired the issue, but broke the crank for my window. Informed them about it and they tried to make me pay for them braking it. I was able to have them fix that too. Tried to take my truck up a few other times and was told the wait was 5 days and as of today when I called 12 days until they would be able to get to my vehicle. Found a local shop that was able to get me in today. Too many variables with this place.

Quickest Dealer Ive ever dealer with while buying a car. Longest part was looking at the cars and test driving. The salesman, Dan Murphy was honest and upfront, which is not the typical salesman. I told him upfront what I wanted and what price I was shooting for. He didnt try to beat around the bush. He definitely worked with me. I was pushed a lot at the end when finalizing the paperwork to get an extended warranty or sealants and I just didnt want them. No big deal but they did not seem to like my answer. Very good experience overall though.

I made an online appointment to look at a used Convertible. 5 days in advance. When I show up, the car they try to show me isnt even close to the one I booked an appointment for and the (ridiculously young) Salesman says it was just an error. When I tell him the vehicle Im here for, hes like; Oh, that one, its out backIt was out back all right, they hadnt bothered to detail it or clean it up at all. It still had mud on the floors and pet hair all over the seats. Then this youngster says, well, you cant expect much for $5000 WHAT?!? I sure the hell do expect something. And to have the vehicle ready to be looked at is the very least. Not being belittled for a low sale ! Just another example of why we dont like dealing with Dealerships.
I bought an one year old Grand Sport 3LT Corvette from Bruce Chevrolet. It was a big purchase for me, but they were patient and answered all of my questions about the history of the car. They were also able to get me a loan with better terms then what my own bank offered. Overall, the transaction went very smooth.

Day 1: We dropped the car off and told the service center that we would not be back during service hours. They said they would drop the keys with sales folks. We didnt make it back that day. Day 2: The sales folks gave the keys back to the service folks. We didnt get to the dealership (~45 min round trip) until the service folks left, but the service folks failed to give the keys back to the sales folks on day 2. We were told by the sales folks that they didnt have the keys and were not authorized to get them from the service area. Day 3: Dealership closed Day 4: When we inquired about them bringing the car to us, they declined. We got to the dealership (45 minute round trip) and got keys. Not a great experience for relatively minor oil change, tire rotation, and warranty fix. The car was not washed when we got it.

Sales experience was ok, but after getting home I noticed a water stain on my 2017 f150 headliner. Sure enough after these recent rains, my headliner is soaked and I cant find the leak. The dealer no doubt knew about this, they may have even replaced the headliner. It sat on their lot for a year so I know for a fact they came out one day and found the headliner all messed up. One can only imagine what it looked like after getting rained in and setting on the lot for a year. Buyer be ware. They dropped the price 4000 and I was like, wow thats a good deal. Now Im making payments on a moldy 2017 f150. Thanks Bruce chevrolet for reminding me why I never like buying from a dealership. Oh and the transmission has whats refered to as the 6 to 3 or 5 to 3 squak, basically it sounds like an air horn going off in the cab when passing in the mountains. By far my worst vehicle purchase ever. Thanks bruce chevrolet.

Purchased a brand new vehicle because of the discounted lifetime oil changes they offered for their new cars. Now they tell me that the new owners have changed the policy and they raised the oil change price by 4 times what they sold me the oil changes for. Bait and switch. Ill never buy from them again.
My car deal was complete and car was delivered to me in Bend. Al drove my rental car back to Hillsboro to turn it in.I hadnt been thinking clearly [accident week before] and left walking sticks, first aid, bags etc. in the rental. No fanfare or anything, a few days later and huge package was delivered with all the contents I had left behind.This was way more than good customer service. It was an act of kindness that I certainly wouldnt expect from a car dealership. My appreciation goes to James, Steve and Kari. p.s. I like my new used car.

My husband & I were on a search to replace his pickup. The cab style he was looking for is very hard to find. Bob was fantastic in assisting him with finding one as close to his specs as he could. He was patient and excellent in pointing out other details that he could be happy with even if it did not have the exact cab he was looking for. The financing was quick and easy. Just got a Spark EV that was listed on their website. Price wasnt listed, but we got it for a price comparable with other dealerships with no fuss. The dealer (John V) was very nice and walked us through the important features of the car and was able to easily answer most of our questions right of the bat. We were already planning on financing the car through them then switching to our credit union, but they were able to set it all up through the credit union directly for us. Were not in the habit of buying cars very often, but the experience was pretty fast and pleasant all around!

My 2011 GMC Acadia Denali had problems with flickering headlights and was not safe to drive at night. I brought my car to Bruce Chevrolet and they made an appointment to check it out. I told them to check the bulbs because another mechanic put ORiley Xenon bulbs in it recently and I suspected they could be contributing to the issue.After a couple days I called to check on it and the Service Manager said it was going to be more expensive then the standard diagnostic fee because they needed to spend more time on it. I said OK I would pay for a half hour more. A couple days later I went to check on it and they said I needed new headlight assemblies that were special order from another state and would cost me $3,000 +. I told them no way I would do that and I would just sell the car and buy another one under warranty. They ended up not charging me for the diagnostic.Meanwhile I bought a new car last week and let my my mechanically inclined neighbor tinker around on the Acadia. We ordered another set of bulbs - Wagner brand from RockAuto and of course the Acadia lights work just fine now.I was disappointed that a service center with supposedly the latest technology and best trained technicians could not diagnose a simple problem like bad bulbs. They were friendly and did not charge for the incorrect diagnosis but I bought a new car based on the incorrect information they provided.Aside from their bad diagnosis they did not offer me a courtesy vehicle as many others dealerships I have given business to have done. It would have been a nice touch but they denied me one when I asked about it. At Kuni I dont even have to request it but at Bruce they looked at me funny when I brought it up.Sucks to get bad advice but at least I am stuck with a new car and 5+ years warranty at another dealership.Update: I was just detailing my car today shortly after getting it back from Bruce Chevy and realized my roof crossbars were STOLEN right off my car. It happed during the time my car was there. I called them and reported the incident but said they no longer have their video footage after a week or week and a half which was when my car was there.
Wonderful people to deal with. I shopped on their website, called, gave them my particulars and my band new car was there ready when I wanted to pick it up. Just a few papers to sign and I was off. The car was immaculate. John was very helpful. Thank you for a great buying experience.

Not returning again. I am not sure if the service department there is incompetent or shady. I asked them how many mm I have left on my break pads and the answer was: 50-60. Front break pads get replaced more often than the rear ones so thats bs. Go to another place if you dont want to gamble with your safety. Used to be a regular and now Ill just have to find another place to take my business to.
James was very easy to work with and he was very professional. Mary in finance was so nice and she made the loan signing process easy. The dealership was clean and negotiating price was pain free. I will definitely recommend Bruce Chevrolet to my friends and family.

Purchased a brand new Sonic a while back. I loved everything about that car and even though a drunk driver hit me and totaled it 4 months down the road (pun intended), the best thing about it was the 10 airbags that kept my family aliveWe actually had our eyes on a different car, but Trevor N. knew that other car wouldnt be a good fit for us. I would give this place zero stars if I could. I had scheduled and appointment for an oil change and trip inspection. I get there early, and I’m told to pull up, someone pulls ahead of me which is fine; that gentleman is taken care of and his car is moved to the garage. Another car pulls in beside me and we are both sitting there waiting while employees have stared at us. One tried to get into my vehicle with me in it, then curses and closes the door in my face - no apology, no information about what’s going on. All the while everyone in the shop is not laughing which is insulting and makes it even more uncomfortable. It is now 8:40am; 40 minutes past my appointment time. I have left. My family gets a lot of service there, as well as, purchases all of their vehicles through Bruce. We will be taking their business elsewhere.
Very nice experience! All the employees were very friendly and helpful. Shuttle service was a great service offered and the driver was extremely courteous and kind. Great place!
Quick note of thanks to Rafael Vera, one of the service advisors at the dealership. He did an excellent job representing Bruce Chevrolet with professionalism and great customer service. I had a collector car that needed some work and Rafael made sure the vehicle was given special care, in addition to keeping me informed during the repairs. Kudos to Rafael, and “thank you” to the entire Bruce Chevrolet team.
Great customer service! Shelby got us in same day for recall service. They transported us to another appointment we had and also picked us back up while our car was being serviced (thanks Danny).
I went in to look at a used car and the sales department was great. They were very knowledgeable and took the time to really understand my needs and what I was looking for. I got a great deal and have been suggesting this place to family and friends ever since.
