Two thumbs up! Stopped in on a whim after a long business drive and totally not disappointed! From their friendly greeting when you walk through the door, to their charming decor, and the fun names on their menus, everything about this place is spot on! It was so hard to decide, but I finally chose their 57 Chevy Cheeseburger, warm German potato salad, and a chocolate shake to go. OMGEEE! Generous portions and reasonable prices, as well as an incredibly tempting menu that also includes buffalo, lamb, alpaca, chicken, and fish sandwiches and yummy side dishes, this curious foodie will be making this a habit!

Awesome hole in the wall. Travelled almost 20 miles to try these burgers and fries and was not disappointed. They locally source a lot of their food, and they take the time to see what foods work best for what. Their potatoes are actually fried in rice oil, and are delightfully crisp, with a lack of grease. (They are also unlimited so bring an appetite ♡)They serve burgers that are harder to find, such as lamb, buffalo, and alpaca. The toppings are all on the side so freshness is always on your plate. Will be returning again, if not for the food, but the amazingly kind staff. Thanks guys, please keep up the great service!

Worst experience I’ve ever had. Not worth the drive as others have claimed. First we got water that smelled like the sewer and tasted like a swamp. Then the fries were over cooked. Almost as if they had been fried yesterday and the fried again today. Hollow inside. The burger had no flavor and the onions on my patty melt were practically raw. The bread was stale and the service was bad. Not worth the money. I’ll never go back. Take the extra drive to Helvetia. Much better food.

This was the first time that my husband and our small daughter and myself had gone out to eat since the pandemic. We called ahead and asked if they had outdoor seating and they let us know that they did. we were so impressed by the cleanliness of the service and the changes theyve made to make sure that service is as little contact as possible. All items even for table service or now served in to-go containers and single-serve packets for condiments. All of the workers were masked up which we really appreciated. the food was incredible and the service was great and we are super excited to have a place we feel safe going for the rest of this crazy time!

The atmosphere and the fries were good. Service was attentive. I dont go out to eat for the change in scenery. If I make a better burger at home, I cant recommend your burgers to the world. I ordered the hot rod Burger. Burger meat was dry, well done, not seared. I didnt specify medium rare, maybe its my own fault. Patty was thick and bland. I liked the quantity of beef, but a smash style burger is usually a less dry less bland burger. Thin smash more patties, use the same weight of beef. They cook faster when theyre smashed and dont have to dry out as much. Or, if the meat is dry, then load the burger with bacon cheese peppers and sauces. Maybe do both.Salt is a nice seasoning on a burger.

I’m going to give it another chance but my first experience was not good.I stopped in late afternoon to pickup a couple of burgers and fries on my way home. I’ve passed this place 100 times and decided to give it a shot based on good reviews.I ordered the 57 burger with fries. I was most excited about the fresh hand cut fries they boast but I was super disappointed. I couldn’t finish them. They were maybe cut and fresh four days ago. Not good. The burger was just ok, definitely not worth $12 or $13. The patty was a small puck style, the bacon a little too dry and I guess I didn’t read the fine print that you have to ask for condiments. I did remember to ask for extra pickles and as you can see in the picture, I’m not sure if the guy was being funny or what. ??On a side note, I almost got a milkshake but $6.75? That’s outrageous. Will try again, maybe just stop in for fries and if I’m feeling spendy get the milkshake. I’ll update this review if that happens.

Wonderful for food allergies and intolerances, and just lots of tasty options in general. 2 kinds of gluten free buns (Jensens and Udis), multiple meat types like alpaca and Mahi Mahi, and gluten free fries and chicken strips. Even offer all ingredient labels to review for any questions! Only thing I think could be pretty easily gluten free that wasnt, was their teriyaki sauce (normal soy sauce currently in it). Might get a bit hard to park if it gets very busy, but no idea if thats normally an issue (I came in around 3pm on a weekday).I had the Jensen brand gluten free bun, with grass fed buffalo, and grilled onions. Fries and even added a single chicken strip to try for like $2 (I had a bite before the picture). Sysco spicy BBQ sauce which they have on an online gluten free list (had modified food starch of unlisted origin on the ingredients). Very tasty and lean meat. Plenty of soft onions with enough brown to add flavor. Chicken strip was nicely crunchy!

So I know this has been since the pandemic, but Id love to rate this place higher. I just cant though. I got the Lamborghini Burger (lamb burger w/ tzatziki). It felt like nothing more than a frozen burger in the flat top with absolutely zero seasoning. My wife had the buffalo burger which had the exact same feel. No seasoning and frozen patty.Honestly, the only reason they got 3 stars was because the fries and house ranch were pretty good.Im disappointed as a car guy and this place is know for cruise ins and car clubs. The memorabilia is cool with the classic car theme. Id love to see the place during a car club event as Im sure that its a bunch of fun. The food however is lacking which was a huge disappointment. And for close to $50 for two burgers, two adult beverages, plus appropriate tip... Very sub par.

Great food. Really good hamburgers. Unfortunately, the wait staff was rude and pushy. We arrived at 7:30pm - knowing they closed at 8pm. We were told we must leave precisely at 8pm, as they were closing. We totally understood. However, the wait staff kept coming back, reminding us we had only a few minutes left before we would have to leave. They pushed us to pay for our meal immediately, told us we needed to bus our own table, and then put out the vibe that they just really wanted us to leave-- which we did-- at precisely 7:58pm. .. . .taking the rest of our food and eating in the parking lot! I think the best way to accommodate an anxious wait staff that just wants to leave on time would be to close your business one hour before the wait staff end of shift time. So. . .if wait staff goes home at 8pm... .lock your doors at 7pm! Now everyone is happy. Customers wont feel as though they are inconveniencing wait staff, and wait staff can leave their shift on time. It will, unfortunately, be a very long time before we ever attempt to dine at this restaurant again. Maybe when they hire more friendly wait staff. . . .ppl who enjoy their work and show it by their attitudes. The food, however, was darn good

Cruise In Country Diner is my favorite burger place in town, hands down. To be fair, though, they do offer quite a few different things on the menu. I cant say Ive tried them all, but everything I have had was delicious! The beef is fresh and flavorful, the turkey is meaty (rather than a ground patty), the chili is robust and savory, and the fries, oh yum, the french fries! The shakes are great too! Everything is fresh and made to order. If theyre busy, get comfy and enjoy the decor, it may take some time for your order to arrive but it is always worth it. Cruise In has a retro diner vibe with a very fun and funky classic car theme. They have a dedicated parking lot that usually has just enough space, but take care when youre leaving if you have a low profile vehicle; Ive kissed the pavement more than once by accident.Price wise, I would say theyre middle tier, with high quality and fair portions (some a little more than fair, even). They make a great dinner date night with a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside from their outdoor patio. This place is worth the drive!

Great food and service. We drove an hour to meet family here for a birthday lunch. Its a beautiful drive. I wouldve given it 5 stars if we werent harassed about our service animal. Clearly the management is not knowledgeable of the laws. She said the dog appeared to be begging and questioned if he was legit. He was wearing his vest and license tag. She seemed a bit rude which made us uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we most likely wont return. We left a generous tip regardless of her poor people skills as her staff was much more polite. Other than that, its a quaint, high-end quality burger joint with the fifties flair. There is indoor and outdoor dining, its very casual. Popular with bikers, most likely due to the lovely country location. I recommend it if you dont have a service animal unless one of their outdoor tables is available.

Came back to see if she responded.... My child was not screaming. Clearly if you have kids dont come here. The management is full of it. WOW. WOW. WOW.ETA after the response:While I appreciate your response. I think it does a disservice to your restaurant. So, for that I have to change to a 1 star. You threw your new employee under the bus. Not cool. The owner and manager are responsible, it starts at the top. He specifically said the manager, and was not comfortable addressing the volume of my child. Your food IS NOT the same. You even stated that below in a different unprofessional response to a recent review. I think maybe COVID is having a heavy impact on your attitude and customer service. It may be a good idea to take that into consideration. You lost a lot of longtime customers from YOUR actions alone. I ALWAYS recommended your restaurant, and had only wonderful things to say. And to address the issue with the table close behind that moved.... Technically you shouldnt have seated two parties that close due to the mandatory 6 ft social distancing. Please take things that are said into consideration. The best business owners take construction criticism and make appropriate changes. They dont get defensive and blame others. Do better. Good luck.Original review:Its rare that I leave a review, but this one needed to be left. I have always loved coming here, one of my favorite restaurants. Had never had anything but a great experience, food and service had always been fantastic. Last night was not the same. The young man that served us was fantastic. It seemed he may have been new since he was being taught job duties behind the counter. Our food was definitely not the quality weve raved about before. That part I couldve gotten past.... The thing that lost my business was the fact that the manager asked the server to ask me to keep my 20month old quiet! She did not do it herself. Yes, my child was louder than normal, because she was happy and excited! She loved the atmosphere, the pictures and the loud motorcycles and cars she saw. Such a happy baby girl! As a parent though, I was CLEARLY attempting to keep her more on the quiet side. She was not running ramped, throwing things, screaming or making a mess, at all. Just a happy baby showing her excitement. I also got rude looks from the individual that Im assuming was the manager. All in all, I wil never go back. The 3 stars were purely gained from the young man we had serving us, and knowing that every other time I had gone there it was great. If my child cant show excitement out and about there is absolutely no way I will be in support of your business. Beyond upset by the actions of the manager. Not professional at all.

I had heard great things about this diner. Unfortunately, there was more hype than substance. The burgers were okay, they priced them like they were amazing though. I didnt use the restroom, I was told by the company I was with that It smelled like a dirty outhouse. Overall, it was worth checking out, I will never go back.*edit - no one had been in the restroom for at least 20 minutes before, so there is that. My complaint isnt as much the material quality of the food, more how it was cooked and put together. No need to make assumptions about my food preferences. I like good food, your was not that for me. Being natural and chemical free does not automatically equate to good.
