Great little market with a complete and nicely curated selection of local products such as milk, meat, cheese, vegetables, pie, etc. Coffee, beer on tap and wine pours to enjoy from the covered tables, patio, and grassy field overlooking the surrounding chicken pasture and hills. Plenty of sweet and savory snacks to enjoy with your beverage-- something for both parents and the kids to enjoy. They pour beverages but do not serve food per se. Buy food from the market and enjoy on-site. I highly suggest bringing your own picnic basket with plates, utensils, knife, napkins, and cutting board, and then putting together your own charcuterie board with tasty treats and condiments purchased on-site. Then be sure to pick up some staples like fresh chicken, short ribs, veggies for home (something I intended but forget to do).I visited on a gorgeous fall evening and very much enjoyed watching the sunset over the surrounding countryside while chatting and snacking with friends. Seating and tables are adequate, but I wouldnt suggest this for a group of more than 6 people and recommend bringing camping chairs or a picnic blanket just in case, especially when the weather is nice. No indoor seating so bring a warm coat just in case. Parking was adequate and easy. Restroom is available. Dogs allowed on leash. Watch out for the free-roaming chickens! This is on my list of places to go when I have company.

When you first walk in, youre enveloped in a lovely sweet smell. As you investigate the many small items on display near the door, youll realize the scent is coming from the gorgeous beeswax candles on display.Everything is beautifully arranged, & the employees are all very friendly. Great atmosphere. I would definitely shop there again.Since its more of a luxury farm store, dont expect bargain prices in general, but there are still some affordable items, like handmade dishes scrubbers, magnets, soaps, & wine. They have lots of special items that would make great gifts for those who enjoy luxurious items. If youre looking to splurge, they have an amazing array of beautiful treats, like a chocolate bar covered with freeze dried strawberries, other candies like caramels, lots of different types of honey, etc.The wine expert is awesome. (sorry I cant remember his name!) He was very friendly, & loved answering my questions & making recommendations. Many of the wines are in the $20 range, but theyre still high quality. The produce & meats look like theyre of the best quality, although prices on those items are high. We purchased a dozen farm fresh eggs for $8, & some sausage, I think it was around $12 for that, a bottle of wine for $21, & a couple other small incidental items like a few chocolate caramels. If youre in the area, I would recommend stopping by.

I love this place. Truly. I can be tired and grumpy but then visit the shop, get a coffee and enjoy the view and I instantly feel better. Its a great space with quality products and we love it. My kids call it the chicken place since there are always chickens happily roaming around. It really is a lovely spot and the products they offer are local and delicious.

So much Yum!!! I can not even begin to start describing this wonderful place! There is so much youll just have to go visit for yourself.Excellent wine tasting? Yup! Rather have a coffee beverage or even finish your wine tasting with one? Absolutely! Gourmet treats? Ill be 300lbs before managing to try them all. There are beverages of every kind imaginable. But aside from all of the local wines and treats was the excellent amount of organic meats, veggies and everything in between. They had beautiful cuts of meat. As well as things to create side dishes specially suited to them all.The employees were helpful, kind and I have to say, generous. So Unusual in this day and age. I felt like they were ready and willing to do whatever it took to make me enjoy my time there.Truly Impressive! Theyve worked hard to make such a lovely place and it shows.

We LOVE this place. My favorite place in Hillsboro, hands down. It is one of those places that you want to tell everybody about but also want to keep it a secret because it is just that awesome. The adorable store, the beautiful landscape, the animals for my children to see/chase and THE AMAZING COFFEE. They have the BEST hand crafted coffee menu ever. Did you know the mastermind behind the extensive coffee menu is a 14 (almost 15 she said) year old young lady/ woman. (I sound like my grandma) . How cool is that?! She creates her menu by experimenting with the syrups, spices, and milk from the dairy farm from down the street to create a seasonal drink menu that tops any fancy coffee shop. (I ask a lot of questions and I am here way too often). Great Service, Adorable/magical place and the best coffee. Highly Recommend. Oh… and apparently they have amazing chicken too but I go for the COFFEE.

This is such a nice spot to have just outside of the Bethany/Rock Creek suburbs. They have a coffee stand that makes truly delicious handcrafted beverages, a seasonal produce stand (it’s fall right now and I’ve never seen such variety!), an amazing wine selection (not your Freddie’s selection!) and perfect local or handmade gifts (foods, baskets, spices, crafts!). We recently spent a Saturday morning out there picking out pumpkins with our 1 year-old. The staff is so nice and helpful and there was plenty of room outside to sit (and run) including a big fire pit with chairs out back. My daughter chased a chicken and met the farm dogs. We really love this place.

This is a hidden gem in terms of its location and the food market. I was pleasantly surprised with their wines they get from local suppliers. Happy people with little children love talking with the roaming yard birds, then heading inside to check out the gourmet candy selection and fresh espresso drinks. If you are raising your own chickens you can buy supplies here. Processed meat includes pastured chicken, duck and other meats. Onsite eggs are available sometimes otherwise they carry a similar product like Wilcox organic eggs. Fresh produce and dry goods are available in limited quantities. All in all this is a nice drive in the country to get some quality chicken, or just a treat.

OMG I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH!Do not be deterred by Helvetia Markets a-bit-out-of-the-way-ness. If I lived closer, I would absolutely do the vast majority of my weekly grocery shopping here. I am still tempted to do it, though an hour and a half away is maybe pushing it. You could really get anything you needed here, though with the caveat that you’ll pay more than a traditional grocery store. But if it makes financial sense for you, Helvetia Farm Market is so worth supporting as they provide incredibly high quality, thoughtfully procured and well-made goods, a vast variety of which are local.Standouts for me included local Willamette Valley and TMK Creamery cheeses, duck and quail eggs, Honey Mama chocolate, Kachka Lavka vareniki, pasture raised beef and pork, a variety of Sungold Farms Cornmeal and many other grains. There are so many condiments and preserves, wines, cider, and other beverages. They had a great variety of sweets including many local chocolates. Even local handmade taffy! The produce section was quite large for a smaller store, and I adored the bunches of herbs wrapped with an edible flower. Like, what a tiny little touch that makes it feel so special! They serve coffee and tea, and had a sweet little bakery case (and, if I recall correctly, I think some bistro tables for enjoying your treats outside). Their front patio was covered in so many lovingly cared for annuals and perennials, plus they had a cute houseplant display and seeds inside. They also had a variety of home goods that would make great gifts. The employees were friendly, and I seriously just felt charmed the entire time (probably at least an hour – I didn’t want to leave!) I was there.

A very nice market. Employees are very friendly and I think they smile too, but the masks we all wear only allow speculation. =]The market has unique, locally sourced, organic and gluten-free products. I found spices, meats, handmade goods, wines, popcorn, honey, fruits and veggies, plants and more. It was my first visit. I really enjoyed looking around and purchased a few things. Plan on returning soon with meal prep in mind. I was a bit preoccupied trying to keep my glasses from fogging up with the mask on, so I didnt snap any pics except one.Ooh, its sorta handicap accessible. The parking lot is gravel and slopes a bit. It doesnt seem a problem unless a wheelchair is used. Then, I recommend parking in the space btwn the market and the pole barn. Have the wheelchair ♿ user side toward the cement porch. Its a outing worth the trip.

Just discovered this little gem on West Union, been driving by for months, finally stopped by. What a great find! Locally grown meats and lots of Oregon product on shelves. They serve really good coffee which you can drink on their outside seating area overlooking their fields with chickens, ducks and cows - very relaxing on a nice sunny day. Staff also offered that we could bring a picnic and sit around their fire pit (bring your own fire 😁). Nice to see them frequently sanitizing tables and chairs. Bought their skinless chicken breasts, and while a little speedy we’re definitely worth the extra couple of dollars. Will make this a regular stop from now on!

I love this little store & the employees are always the sweetest but I had the worst experience I’ve ever in a store yesterday evening due to this woman who was in there that wasn’t wearing a mask during a pandemic when it’s a state wide mandate. She was making my friend & I extremely uncomfortable with how she kept glaring at us then proceeded to follow us around the store constantly coming within at least 3 feet of us.I wouldn’t have been so bothered if her husband who was either apart of the business or knows the owners of the store wouldn’t stop staring at me acting like I was being suspicious or something. I didn’t think anything of it until my friend who is 34 years old had to point out how uncomfortable she was becoming being in the store & how she’s never had an experience like that in all of her life. Whatever issue that woman had with us she made it VERY clear we aren’t welcome there. As we were checking out she also felt the need to keep turning to us & smirking, as if that wasn’t enough she topped things off by walking up to my friends truck getting way to close to us to get to her car (we were loading in our groceries on the passenger side when the woman was parked next to my friends drivers side) when it would have been 10x easier for her to walk in front of my friend truck instead of going out of her way. My friend got so fed up that she stopped putting our food away just to stare at her right back then all the lady did was give a nasty little laugh.Whoever this woman & her husband are in relation to this little farm are such a poor representation of human decency. Our first thoughts were never to come back to this farm again even though my friends loved coming here for years but that’s exactly what I’m sure that woman wants. The fact that my friend had to tell me it seemed racially driven was so saddening & disgusting (me being the person of color) No matter what her issue was you never make another human being feel uncomfortable like that, especially when just trying to buy food. What I’m trying to get across is I hope the owners take this experience into consideration with how their customers feel about the people that are representing their store. I’m still going to come to this farm frequently bc I refuse to let that woman get the satisfaction of scaring me off. If this ever happens again I will be speaking up for myself.
