The entire staff has always been helpful and kind. Ive been getting allergy shots here for the last 5 years and they have paid off big time. I finally can breath in the spring! My allergy nurse has always been very clear on the plans for the short term and the long term and took the time to explain to me how they work. They dont shy away from questions and theyre accommodating to busy schedules. Theres good communication between patient and staff and the office is very clean and tidy. Thank you ENT
They dont follow normal standard of care practices for allergy shots. They had my son doing WEEKLY allergy shots for almost two years. They had no plan as far as I could tell to transition him to maintenance doses and/or wouldnt give it to me. They kept trying to push us to oral at home therapy. Under the tongue drops are fine and all (probably) but not covered by insurance. We finally switched to a new doctor. They had my son up to maintenance in three months. It hurts my heart to write this negative review because we really like the office staff. However, at best this office has no idea what its doing with allergy treatment. At worst they were milking us along for years for our money.
We love ENT Associates Hillsboro! My wife has had bad allergies for years and has been getting shots here for 3 years with excellent results! She now is getting maintenance doses and feeling so much better! The care given has been outstanding. It has helped her so much that I got tested and started getting shots for my allergies, with excellent results also. With only been 1 1/2 years into my shots and I am also on maintenance doses. The office staff, nurses, doctors and everyone has been exceptional.
I have received allergy shots here for almost 3 years and am happy with the results so far. With the immunotherapy, my allergies have been reduced from major concerns to very mild issues. Cassi, the allergy nurse, is great at giving shots and makes the whole process easy for those with busy schedules.
Very nice office. The Drs are engaged with your issue. The staff is helpful.
Great office. The staff and doctor went above and beyond for my fathers hearing needs
Dont come here, they dont know what theyre doing.I came in complaining that its difficult to breathe out my nose. My doctor, OLeary, suggested surgery. I paid for it, and still cant breathe out my nose, but now Im missing cartilage without any follow up from the doctor for a solution.Imagine asking for your alternator fixed but they replace the radiator instead. What a scam
I have been impressed with all of my care at ENT Associates. The ladies up front are kind, professional, and work to welcome each patient by name. Dr. Theringer is very thorough, answers all questions and genuinely cares about making sure your concerns are heard and addressed. In addition, I have been undergoing treatment for allergies from the allergy nurse, Cassi. Both Cassi and Dr. Theringer were clear about my treatment plan as far as time, cost, commitment and effectiveness as predicted by my specific results and reactions. My progress has been driven solely by my commitment to the process, my body, and its reactions. My progress has been reported to me without me even having to ask, but I have always been encouraged to be in the drivers seat and ask questions by the staff.
I have been a patient here for several years now. The staff is always very friendly and accomodating. Cassi, the allergy specialist, is awesome!
I’ve been a patient of ENT Associates in Hillsboro for 3 years. They consistently offer high quality care and I can’t recommend them more highly. Dr. Thiringer is thorough and makes you feel comfortable. He never rushes and makes sure your questions are answered. I’ve also been working with nurse Cassandra who is fabulous and finally helped me get my horrible allergies under control. Getting allergy testing and allergy shots has been a breeze with them. I wish I would have seen her sooner! Thanks ENT Associates!
I have received allergy treatment/immunotherapy at ENT Associates in Hillsboro for the past 4 years. The medical staff are wonderful, especially Allergy Nurse, Cassi. I highly recommend them for anyone suffering from allergies and asthma. The therapy has provided much relief for me.
I go here for immunotherapy injections to address mild to moderate seasonal allergies (i.e. initial allergy testing confirmed I was allergic to things like grasses, weeds, etc). I was tired of dealing with them every Spring, so I finally decided to do something about it. I can’t recall my exact start date, but I believe it was shortly after a Spring season. I had noticeable improvements during the follow Spring. My symptoms (itching eyes and mouth, sneezing, congestion) were drastically reduced. Fast forward another year, and I have practically no symptoms. I am nearing the end of my immunotherapy treatment, and I have to say it has worked wonders for me. Obviously, every person’s body is different and has different things that they are allergic to, but this has worked great for me. Aside from immunotherapy, I had Dr. Caro perform surgery on my nose for a deviated septum and enlarged turbinates (to further improve my breathing). I work with Cassi the most though, since she administers my routine injections. I highly recommend this place if you want to address your allergies. The only recommendation I can think about is incorporating an online billing/payment system. It doesn’t matter too much to me, since I am at the office often enough to pay the bills.Lastly, if you use insurance, make sure you do your own due diligence to see if Ear Noses and Throat Associates is ‘In Network’ or ‘Out of Network’ for you. I was catching glimpses of some negative reviews around that. That is your responsibility, folks. Call your health care provider or use its online tools; it’s not that hard.
Dr. Thiringer has been the only doctor I have seen to agree with me that my tonsils needed to be removed. I have dealt with chronic tonsillitis and strep throat for most of my life. Most ENTs and Urgent Care doctors disagreed with me regarding my tonsillectomy request and preferred to prescribe me numerous amounts of antibiotics. Dr. Thiringer listened to my concerns and even agreed with me that they needed to come out. He even took photos of my nasty tonsils for me after surgery. 10/10 recommend.
Pay close attention to how they bill your insurance. My daughter was charged over $700 toward her deductible for her treatment, which was paid promptly by us. As a biller myself, I was alarmed since our deductible was $250. After a call to our insurance carrier, who let me know it was paid out of network which should have set off a red flag to the biller. My phone call spurred the reprocessing of the claims, not usually left up to the patient. The office did pay my daughter back, but the check was thrown away by accident, the how has been repeatedly exaggerated by the office manager and really shouldnt matter. We were told a 2nd check was distributed, yet it was never received. Office policy has patient paying stopped check fees, we understood the first charge and were more than willing to pay it. However, they charged a 2nd fee which I contested. Office manager was not willing to take the fee off, even though its all over the news how great USPS is at this time and she could see it had never been cashed. (I guess nobody can throw something away without it being held against you, hence the above comment) Office manager told me shed call back after looking into it further, she never did, even after my daughter signed a release of information. Daughter signed, and I mailed it personally to them. Well guess what?? Office manager never called me back because she didnt receive the Release of Information & they still took out the money for the 2nd check, hmmm weird.. Dont let them mail you anything and dont give them money until you do your own accounting. I cant speak about the doctors on staff but someone is running this ship - not a good way to do business if you ask me. Its only 1 star because I couldnt choose 0.
It took more than a month to get an appointment but boy it was WORTH IT! I saw Dr. Thiringer for concerns about my throat, he took plent of time to give me a very thorough examination and understand my concerns. I dont like going to doctors but this was just a great experience. Thank you Dr. Thiringer.
Everyone here is so nice and efficient. I’ve seen both the ENT Dr. and the Audiologists and was seen promptly and treated very well . I would recommend all of the Doctors here.
At the 5 year mark I am on ‘maintenance’ having reduced my reaction to a long list of airborne allergens down to minor from debilitating.
Really sure why this place has such high ratings. In the three phone calls that I had to make to their Associates I was treated very poorly each time. Each associate I spoke with was Ruder than the last. I had a referral sent over marked urgent and call that same day shortly after to see if it had been received and if I could set up an appointment and was basically yelled at and told with attitude that thats not how they do things around there. That even though I had a really bad ear infection for two weeks and two courses of antibiotics and couldnt hear anything at all out of my left ear but was in charge of a small child, that I was to just sit and wait around until they created a file and called me back. But the doctor is the one who decides if its urgent or not. I called back the next morning just to confirm that they had in fact at least received the referral and they told me no. So when I called back my referral coordinator at my primary care provider they said they had sent it and received word back that this place did not accept my insurance. They could have mentioned that over the phone when they told me they hadnt received it at all. All that is fine I just think they could work on there consideration, compassion, understanding, or at the very least their customer service
Our experience here was great. Our nervous 5 y/o child needed a blockage cleared and a hearing test done. The staff was OUTSTANDING with her. Each person we encountered talked directly to her (not just to us parents) which made her feel special. The Dr was amazing; keeping her distracted and having fun during the blockage removal. The front desk staff talked to her and were patient with her sticker selection process. The audiologist made her comfortable during the hearing test. They also saved us money by recommending a different order of procedures. I absolutely would recommend this clinic and we will be coming back for any ENT needs.
Dr. Caro listens when my PCP doesnt. He is currently treating me for allergic rhinitis with allergy therapy immunization. Allergist Cassie is wonderful and also listens to see if I need to make any changes in my behavior or their treatment. Everyone in the office is very friendly and caring. Overall, I have had a very positive experience with ENT Associates.
Reception staff are great, and have a good sense of humor. Dr. Caro provided my treatment and I was impressed by how he clearly explained what my problem was, the hows and whys of the treatment process, the actual carrying out of the treatment and the follow-up. Couldnt have asked for anything better.
The doctor and the other people there, were friendly and efficient. Dr. Caro was very, very good.
Been going here since I was a kid. The dr are great with kids and the staff is wonderful.
I have been seeing Dr. Caro and team for the past 2 years for allergy immunotherapy shots. The allergy nurse, Cassi Monroe, is amazing and has dealt with many allergies herself and is a wealth of information, in addition to being nice. :)It is nice that they are close too, in downtown Hillsboro.
Dr. Caro did my tonsillectomy and was informative, thorough, kind, and gave me confidence in my choice to get surgery, as well as in his abilities. The staff at Ear, Nose & Throat Associates were helpful and appreciated.
The front desk folks are very defensive and dont give appointments to new patients . They intentionally create roadblocks and are a royal pain in the behind to work with .
Dr. Caro and his staff are friendly and very understanding. Thank you for all the great care.
Service was good and scheduling was a breeze...surgery upcoming so there is more to follow
Thank you so kindly Dr. Gable him and his crew. Tuality outpatient crew I had successful tonsillectomy I am recovering fast ! Yay
