This place is great. I went with my 13 yr old son. The gentleman (I think owner) was patient and spent a lot of time speaking to my son. He answered all his question and the amount of kindness he showed was amazing. We will certainly be back for more cards.

Literally cannot say enough about how much I love this shop and Anthony! Once my boyfriend and I found this place 4 years ago we try to go atleast once a month (even though its about an hour drive from our house)! We get great service, the products are always in amazing conditions and the shop just makes me genuinely happy to go and spend an hour or so! We have gotten great prices on games and have officially created our dream collection of everything from NG4, GameCube, Xbox and Playstations both old and new! If you need to get anything vintage, if you want to get better service/treatment then any gamestop and if you want to just enjoy all things nerdy stop by and support a great little shop that will blow your mind!

The Game Zone is ALWAYS our favorite stop when passing through. We specifically go out of our way (from Virginia) to buy/sell/trade here, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and wonderful to interact with. I had arrived unannounced on 9/2 at GameZone Hillsdale, hoping they could appraise/buy my old Pokémon trading cards. The staff (and someone I presumed to be the owner) was absolutely pleasant. He sat with me answering any questions and giving his honest feedback on every card. Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, and honest, making the whole experience and A+. While I didnt end up selling them, he gave honest prices and opinions. After browsing the store I purchased a game and left happy, thanks again!

Giving a two starts because the owner was so rude he was trying to “save time “ instead of making money and relationships with customers. Instead of answering a simple question and giving someone 5 minutes of his time he decided that since he was flustered he’d take it out on someone who just had a genuine question about trading. Sorry but if you own a business you shouldn’t be rude to your 1st and now last time customers. Other than that they had decent plushies, but even the old games were overpriced and they were preowned of course. Was excited when we walked in but lost interest when the owner was a complete D-bag. Yeah people have bad days but don’t take it out on a customer that asked you ONE question.... busy or not, ridiculous honestly.

This place is awesome! They have many old games and systems. So total geek nostalgia alert! They even have D&D and other role playing table top game stuff too. A gem in Hillsdale. :-)

The hands-down best game and card store in Bergen County. Anthony and his awesome employees have helped my son choose great cards, and cultivate his budding interest in Pokemon. In addition, this store is budget friendly, and offers cards that can be bought individually so Im not stuck buying a whole box like at Target, but we can choose the exact card(s) he wants. My son begs to go there all the time, and the staff has been so helpful with each visit. Dont even think of shopping elsewhere for all things Pokemon this holiday season!

Awesome store!! So many games to check out. NES, SNES, Atari, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, PS, PS2, the list goes on and on. Very helpful staff. Everything is cataloged if you are searching for something specific. All types of game systems for sale, tons of controllers, and add-ons. Lots of memories looking through the vintage games. They also do repairs on systems too.

They have a great selection of games, new and old all with fair prices.

Anthony runs an amazing store, always friendly and willing to help with all inquiries. A terrific personality that makes the visits to his store always worthwhile. Games are priced competitively and you never feel he is trying to get one over on you.

This is by all means The Best Game Store in Bergen county. They have games that spread through multiple generations and a large quantity of games. I would definitely recommend this to someone if need of games.

I once bought a game there and it did not work, the owner had no problems with returns - he even tried to fix it a few times - he instead bought the same game and gave it to me at a lost to him. Have implemented a great new system that notifies you when a game you have requested is available. Will never go anywhere else for my gaming needs.

This has to be one of the best game stores around. If you like classic retro games and game consoles, then this is the place to go. They also keep an up to date stock on new games that come out. Coming from New York I dont get a chance to head down there often but whenever I do, I try to bring new people each time.

A great place for used games and consoles. Decent selection, but if youre looking for a popular old game, theres no guarantee that itll be there. I recommend to call first, if youre looking for something in particular, but if youre just looking for something that you havent played yet or something new to try out, give it a try.

Really great experience. Bought a used Genesis 1 HDG (long serial) and the guy running the store knew exactly what I was talking about. Awesome prices, interesting inventory of classic console games that includes some nice collectors pieces. And the customer service is extremely good. Just all around great experience that keeps me coming back even though I live over in Westchester county.

I have been coming to this store for years and it has been great to watch it improve over time. Now they are doing great events from tournaments to the Pokemon League and I know they intend on doing Friday Night Magic. Id highly recommend anyone to stop in for a great experience, cool looking store and down to Earth owner.

At a game stores top notch the men treated my children excellent I have a 16 year old boy in a 14 year old girl and they went into the store to trade in some games they were extremely happy with what they got and then they bought new games and the store had everything they needed I dont think you could ask for more

This has been the only place I will go for my gaming needs. Their service is excellent, and will be more than happy to order any game for you that they do not already have. I have never had a poor experience here with the prior owners or the new, and I especially like the direction the new owner is going in.

Solid selection a little too many old sports games on the shelves. The owner seems like a really good guy liked coming in and seeing card tables set up on a weekday so local kids can come in and play a game of magic. All around good atmosphere also lower prices than Digital Press and a far better selection by far especially on gamecube games. I really appreciated how loose discs ere given boxes instead of those cheap paper sleeves like most othet places, also the time put in to print authentic covers for cases missing them as well as being informed on every box that its not the original box art which most other places fail to do.

Ive only been here twice, and know this is where i want to go for games. I traded in quite a few games and a DS Lite and got a decent amount of store credit, which I used to buy Just Cause 3. I found there was a crack in the disk when I got home, but thought nothing of it as it had worked. It stopped working a few days later. I walked in today, explained the situation, and got another copy, free of charge. Anyone reading this review, please go here. The store is very cool, with many classic consoles and games to buy or look at. This store well deserves a 5 star rating, with extremely friendly staff, and a wide array of games to pick and choose from.

Gamezone is the best place to buy games in Bergen County. The selection is amazing, the fact that they sell old games is great, and the people there are helpful and pretty cool. The only negative thing I can say is that for some reason, only Pokemon games for the 3DS are overpriced by 5 to 10 dollars. Everything else is either just as good or even better priced than any big box store. Also, they play Vampire Weekend every once in a while, and that makes me happy.
