STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. I had used Labbe glass twice in the past few years and was satisfied with the service they had provided. I called the number here a few days ago to purchase a shower door and an individual answered the phone. He came over and gave a price and I paid a significant amount of money for 2 shower doors and to replace the glass on some windows. Since then I have found out that Labbe glass has gone out of business and a person named Joseph Webber is pretending to be the business owner. He is also using the business name Oceanside glass. Please stay away from both these businesses as they are total scams. The guy has repeatedly not showed up with the shower doors but calls every evening seemingly drunk with some excuse or the other. The reason I am posting this is to make other aware that Labbe glass is no longer in business and not to fall victim to the person using the old business name in a dishonest manner.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We had used their services a few years ago to replace rollers on a sliding glass door and they were wonderful! When we needed a new door handle mechanism for the same door, I immediate thought of them. This latest experience has been a nightmare. They replaced the door handle - a day later the screw attaching it to the door fell out. Apparently they installed something wrong, so a tech supposedly came back out. He put a tiny mismatched screw as a replacement (basically just stuck it In the hole loosely). The next day it of course fell out and we were back to square one. The lock itself stopped working if anyone tugs on the door. They won’t return or answer our calls - scammers. They placed a handle on a door, billed us and then disappeared. This is no way to conduct business and it certainly isn’t ethical. Don’t waste your money ... find a reputable company that stands behind their work. Hilton Head is a great place with honest people and service providers.... Labbe Glass isn’t one of them!

It is a rare occasion for me to write a negative review but this company deserves one. On Feb. 27, I wrote a check for full payment for a small glass job. I still do not have my order and am considering if I need to go to the Magistrate next. While I fully understand that a company can get behind or have extenuating circumstances, what I do NOT understand is a total lack of customer care. Not even a phone call to explain the delay. I have made multiple phone calls with no success. They promised delivery a week and a half ago but that came and went with no communication. This is unacceptable to say the least. I cannot recommend their services. Every customer deserves a better level of service than this has been. Update: Finally delivered it but doesnt fit.Back to square 1 I guess. But THEY have my money!

Recently we had a sliding glass door damaged by a landscaper incident. The Labbe Glass staff was very courteous and professional throughout the entire process all the way thru to the final installation.I need to mention that the installer showed up 30 minutes early and did a great job on the final install. We are very pleased with the entire Labbe Glass team!

Whats gone wrong with Labbe Glass? When i bought my house 3 years ago i used them a lot for replacing fogged window glass. Even after Hurricane Matthew they were efficient despite being inundated with broken glass replacements. I would have given them 5 stars. But now they have lost their professionalism and service. Once I get my long awaited glass fitted it is unlikely that I will use them again

Over 17 years I had Labbe Glass do two jobs for me. The first was in 2005 and I had them replace the frosted glass in side sliding windows. Condo in Shipyard built around 1970. I was not there during installation and when I came back to inspect, I found that they did not install the screen before inserting the new window. And the new window was installed and jammed in wrong (backwards or upside down, cannot figure it out) such that it is forever closed. I believe giving people a second chance so I asked them if they could replace the glider on the bottom of a glass sliding shower door. It was plastic and had come apart. This was around 2011, they took my money (over $200) and said they could source it. Months went by and I kept calling and checking. They said they were still working on it. More time goes by and Im still calling and checking. I realize that this part was not standard, but they could have been upfront with me. Finally after many months and me getting very upset, I just wanted my money back. That also took time and me calling. So on the front of product/installation knowledge, 1 star; customer service/company integrity, 1 star.

2/18/19 - still waiting for call to replace glass of a year ago. Did I tell you they have already been paid by sellers? They promised R.D. a call to me last week. My poor Buyers. :(PS. 1/30/19 - I have yet to hear about when they will install the glass. These poor folks (sellers already paid a year ago), my buyers, have been waiting a year on this. You would think they would rush this install after our talks last week. Guess they are punishing me. Today is 6 days since I spoke with them and still waiting to hear WHEN they will install. Nothing changed. Too bad.1/17/19Been waiting a year for glass replacement and keep getting run around. Today I was told by Yolanda they called me three times (nothing on my phone). When I asked this to be done and when she would not give me a window of days or weeks. We will call you. So the saga continues. Very disappointed for my clients. I cannot with good faith recommend them.

Do not use this place. They are crooks. Take your money in advance and never deliver the product. David Duke and Joe Webber should be locked up for years.

Labbe a Glass has replaced glass for our windows at our rental condos and also our oversized patio glass doors at our home. They were very polite and professional. I would highly recommend their services.

It took three tries to get them out, but their guys did a very hard and very good job. I wish Id fixed those cloudy panes earlier. Thank you Labbe.

Labbe Glass did a fantastic job replacing the fogged windows in the front of our house. Everything was completed on time, and the price was very reasonable. I would certainly reccommend them to others.

For years I have needed to replace 4 panes of glass in two of my home sliders. I was told not to call Labbe Glass because the cost was off the chart, so I called other companies in Savannah, Bluffton & Hilton Head, who never either returned calls, came for scheduled appointments or were able to answer even the most basic questions. I decided to call Labbe Glass when I could no longer see anything out of the sliders. My 360 water view was completely wasted on one room of my home.I called Labbe for an estimate. The lady who answered the phone was the kindest person I have ever spoken to in a business setting. I have since learned her name was Elmira Bass (?). She immediately turned me over to someone who had all of the answers about slider glass: a measuring appointment was scheduled. Shi came right on time. He was very professional...efficient...measured 3 times (not just twice!) and wrote it ALL down. The next day Bob called with the estimate. I was shocked at the affordability, having been warned of the extravagant prices. This was not the case at all. We scheduled for the next week, Elmira took my payment information. (Still, so pleasant!). Bottom line on this review. AJ & Joe came right on time (I still cant get over that!), installed the glass in a careful timely manner, and presented the detailed invoice. (which was EXACTLY the amount I had been quoted). Then, they were out the door and I had a wonderful finished product, after waiting all of that time. Thank you, Labbe Glass! I am an older person and I have not seen companies do what they say they will do, at the price they say they will do it, when they say they will do it without talking about how bad the other guys are, for a very long time. Very refreshing experience!

Disappointed that glass from replacing windows was not picked up... had to remove a glass sliver from my 10 years old foot tonight and also small piece in my finger from cleaning window ledge.... Cary

I wouldnt even give 1 star. The lady working on 8/22 about 430pm was extremely rude she even looked out window clapping with a rude smile as we was getting in car. Very rude
