There were alot of unusual items in the store. I enjoyed browsing through it. Had a great selection of books in the back of the store! Very friendly owner.

This Antique shop and Bookshop is a must see when you are in the area. The owner is as wonderful and knowledgable as can be expected with so many volumes he has in the inventory. I have never been able to leave any visit without finding some great treasures. I live in the northeast and make time any time I am in the area to visit.

They had a VERY VERY LARGE collection of used books but unfortunately the lack of organization or proper labeling of sections makes it an absolute disaster to browse. The chaos was pretty overwhelming and I ended up leaving empty handed, unfortunately. Also very small aisles so its a bit tricky to maneuver. My boyfriend managed to get 4 hardcover books for $20, two of which were older books.

I had to leave a lot of antiques behind when I moved from Long Island, N.Y. to FL this past year. Seeing the collections of furniture, entertaining serveware, etc brought back happy memories!

For those who might not have realized it, Chuckles has moved from Bridge Avenue to Dixie Highway (A1A) south of Bridge Ave., along Hobe Sounds quaint shopping district.If there was ever a shop where you could enter and never want to leave, this would be the one. Their selection of furniture and accessories are timeless and all carefully selected and beautifully appointed. I want everything in here. Mark my words, as much as Millennials, currently, do not like brown furniture (wood), they will be swayed to buy it once they realize everything they own looks like everyone elses (box sterile). Time to buy folks and chuckles has some of the most beautiful pieces you can find at prices more than reasonable. A mix of antique and modern works so well if you select the right pieces. I will say it again.. I want everything in here......And then there are books..... and more books..... and books upon books held up by books on top of books.... this is my favorite place to go for a good read at dollar store prices and I stock my own shelves to the brim. Just be prepared to spend some time here and inform your family members where you are going so they know you were not kidnapped or got lost because time will be suspended in this magical place and you just might want to stay lost in here forever.

Antiques all kinds of unique things wonderful book collection

One of my favorite “real” bookstores for years. Cram packed with everything from antique/vintage to history and romance. You will feel very comfortable browsing and reading here, because chairs are offered to sit in, music plays softly, and there isn’t anyone yelling into their cell phones. The owners are great and also offer an interesting selection of antique objects for sale. A rainy day destination.

This is great place. I have to say I come here for the used books. There is somewhat of an order to them, but not really. That is part of the fun though. I have found many books while looking for a specific one. Great price on the books. The one drawback is parking. Parking is right in front of the store, but backing out onto the main street can be difficult, because of the traffic and not being able to see. They have lots of other stuff in there also, but just havent taken the time to browse yet.

Maria is such a kind, genuine person. She has sent me home with items to view & make a decision. Who allows a person to view before buying? Yes I live close by, she always puts her heart out to only wanting a persons happiness. I have bought many books, for a 90% savings. She has sent some books home with me for a retirement center. She & her husband make the world a better place. Thank you!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! If you like books you have to go, they have so many used books and for great prices as well. I can count on one hand the number of books Ive picked up over 5 dollars. Its run by an older couple who are very sweet and love to help. You have to go check it out!
