Jeff is an amazingly talented fixer of computers. He’s my go to guy for any computer issue. He’s fair, reasonable and always very very nice. Highly recommended!

This had to be the most unprofessional company and customer service I ever had to deal with. We dropped off my laptop + my wifes laptop to get fixed. The main guy @ Hoboken Tech never gave us any updates. We had to try calling chasing for any news for weeks. He said would have it fixed by a certain time and call us with an update that never happened and then never respond to our calls or when he did days later would come up with some nonsense excuse. To the point, we had to buy a different laptop for work because couldnt wait anymore. It got to the point that he stopped answering the phone completely, kept ignoring our calls for +1 month. I finally had to take off work to go there today to pick it up or try to talk to the guy because he wouldnt answer the phone. 4 months later, the laptop wasnt still fixed.At this point, I just wanted my laptops back. He had the nerve to say the laptop was still open, that he would close and return it. That it would have been another 15 minutes... Unbelievable. I finally get home and notice the screws under the laptop case are missing, so the bottom is loose. Ill just order screws or take them somewhere else. I highly suggest to not stress yourself and take your business somewhere else.

I wan to share an experience. In the middle of an unsaved document, my lap top crashed, showing a blue screen. Frantic I was. I called Hoboken Tech Solutions and cried in hysterics. The owner was beyond comforting and assured his immediate attention. I raced to his store and he removed my hard drive and called me with me incredible news. He recovered my document and saved all other data as well. I swear by this store and my loyalty remains.

Hoboken Tech Solutions has had my laptop since October 2020. I have stopped by the shop several times to ask about the status of the repair and am always told it will be ready in two days THIS IS NOW ALMOST 4 MONTHS AGO. I just want my computer back! Trying to contact this shop by phone is impossible as all calls go to voicemail and, guess what, the mailbox is full! If you cant repair my computer, fine, just return it to me so that I can get it repaired elsewhere. Ridiculous!

Do not give this place any business. Jeff doesnt take responsibility for the fact that he makes errors that cost customers time and money. I brought my computer in do a simple upgrade. When I got it back, there was a new password on it that I had to call him for just to get into my computer, I couldnt get online and Microsoft Word kept crashing. I brought it back for him to fix the things that he screwed up and also asked that he install a new battery, which he said he would do. When I got the computer back, I asked if it had a new battery and he said no, because they take a few days to order. He didnt bother telling me that when I made the original request. Then I get home and find out my computer still doesnt work. I tried disputing the $85 he charged through my bank and they told me I had to dispute it with him because it was a service quality issue. I told him I wanted a refund and he claimed he had to check his records about the transaction and would get back to me, and he never did. He wasted my time and got $85 for doing nothing but making my computer less functional than when I started. People like him make life harder for other people who actually do work to earn their money.

I am so glad I found this place. I had 2 hard drives that couldn’t be read on my computer, they were old, and I was saddened by the possibility of not retrieving some old photos saved on there . Jeff brought them back to life, and to top it off he is such a nice guy. Truly a master of his craft! Very impressed ! He is my go-to guy for any computer issues going forward. A+

I have used Hoboken Tech Solutions for 6 years and shame on me for never writing a review. These people are the most dependable, fair and honest repair shop Ive ever known. I would wait on line if needed to see them before I would go anywhere else. Its a great source of comfort being able to trust a repair ship with our computers and data. I wish I could find a car mechanic this honest and straightforward.

I never wrote a review before but felt compelled to do so now. This was the best service I have ever used for anything. My child smashed my laptop screen and the manufacturer wanted $340 to change and it would take 10 days. A friend recommended Jeff and I brought it to him and had it fixed in 20 hours for $120. Im so thrilled! Thank You.

Best experience Ive ever had in repairing anything! I had a computer with a failing hard drive - it made a squeaking sound and the computer wouldnt start right. I panicked, but the computer people did not. They removed my drive, used some special recovery software and were able to get all my stuff back. I watched the recovery run for about two minutes - it took 30 hours because the condition of the drive. I priced data recovery specialists before coming here. Prices ranged from $350 just to look at it up to $1500!!!! My charge from the Hoboken shop? $200 which included a brand new drive with all my files on it. I really could not be happier and learned my lesson - BACKUP! Highly recommended this shop to all my friends, and now to you :)

In an age where nearly all tech support is outsourced, Jeff Cohens HTC is a true gem--a real neighborhood shop where youre treated like a friend every time you walk in. I brought my first computer problem to Jeff more than four years ago and Ive been going back ever since--broken motherboard, crashed hard drive (Jeff helped me recover ALL of my data including pictures), and every type of crazy virus (he wouldnt quit until the virus was GONE). His prices beat the leading big box store and he wont charge you for the diagnosis. The shop is located conveniently in the center of Hoboken. He services both Macs and PCs and can also handle large network jobs as well as laptops. He also carries printer ink at competitive prices.

This has been my go-to shop for years - since they were around the corner and now in the current spot. Its hard to see a negative review - all due respect but the writer of it might have the wrong spot or something else must be wrong. This shop is honest, always busy, they dont bury you in geek-speak and they go the extra mile to make things right. Ive brought a mac that needed a new keyboard and a pc that needed a virus cleanup. Both jobs were inexpensive, thorough and timely. Its nice having a trustworthy tech - just like a good car mechanic. Peace of mind and trust go a long way :)

Took my laptop here after I spilled an entire bottle of makeup remover on my keyboard...since I waited too long to take it in, he couldnt salvage it. But luckily he salvaged all my files and gave me the hard drive within 2 weeks.

Go elsewhere!I went to get my iPhone screen replaced, something that should be a quick and easy. I was charged $85 for this which is ridiculously overpriced. Ive never heard anyone charge above $50. I also had to wait overnightt for it, when this is usually a job that can be done overnight. He told me to come back at noon, and when I came back he said it wasnt ready yet. I didnt get an email until about two pm.Thats not the worst part though. Within a week, my screen started going bad. The screen became unresponsive to touch. It wasnt glued down properly and the LED started shining through the crack. The screen started going red wherever pressure was appled. Eventually, the red would spread until entire screen was sucha deep red it looked black. Of course it was completely unusable.I went back and showed him the issue. I asked for a refund, and he told me that was impossible. He said it was probably my fault because I was putting the phone in my pocket, which makes no sense because I have it in a case.He said he would fix it again, free of charge. He told me to come back at noon the next day -- it wasnt ready until after 6pm!Again, within a week the screen was acting up again with similar issues. I went back and again he refused to give me a refund. I brought it to apple instead and they fixed my screen within fifteen minutes of seeing me. It has been over a week, and my phone is in great condition. Clearly the issue was this place and not my phone!
