I came here after dinner as I was craving something sweet. I love eating something sweet and I am always in the mood for cake. The quaint bakeshop is located near a park. Due to COVID, they are limiting the amount of people in the store.I ordered a Red Velvet ($3.75) and a Fluffernutter ($3.75). The cupcakes were tasty but, I felt that they were a bit small to be regular sized. Personally, I thought the tasty and presentation was just okay. I didnt see anything that made them noteworthy to visit again.The bakery had tons of interesting flavors but, I am not sure I would return. Maybe if I was in the area again. The one thing I didnt like is that the cupcakes were placed in a paper bag. I had to be very careful on transporting home my goodies. The customer service was okay. The person didnt really seem into being there one way or another. I was just another fly on the wall for all they cared.

I dont know if the people that work here know what theyre doing. I placed an order here for a very special birthday over the phone simply for two yellow cakes with chocolate frosting. The lady on the phone jotted down two vanilla cakes with chocolate frosting. When I followed up that I specifically want yellow cakes, she responded, Those are our vanilla cakes. I expected after my clarification of yellow cake, and the affirmation from the lady over the phone, that the bakery would provide me with yellow cakes. I then picked up the cakes a week later. However, only during the birthday party once we cut the cake did we notice that they made us white cakes. This honestly spoiled the birthday party as yellow cake is the birthday girls favorite. A professional bakery should understand the difference between white cake and yellow cake especially after I made it clear and repeated I wanted yellow cakes. This is why Im not confident the employees here know what theyre doing. To top it off, the cakes were dry and lacked any flavor. Very disappointing from a supposedly professional bakery that they couldnt manage to complete a very simple cake order, and I would recommend people use another bakery if they want the cakes they actually ordered...

Let me start off by saying my daughter ordered a cake in April that was absolutely delicious! This is why I decided to order from them for my nieces bridal shower in September. Unfortunately this cake was dry and stale. I was so disappointed and embarrassed. I called the store the following day but the manager was not there. I told the person I spoke with what happened and she apologized and told me she would have the manager call me back. It’s 24 hrs later and no phone call. Very poor customer service. Needless to say I will not be returning.

Weve been getting cakes and cupcakes at Sweet since the day they opened, and will never go anywhere else! Angela and her team are amazing and the cakes are unique and delicious... Also best hot chocolate in hoboken! Definitely highly recommend Sweet!

Cute decor and easy to find! Plenty of sweets to choose from for immediate satisfaction. Staff was knowledgeable and gave good recommendations, although they could benefit from a shot of espresso. Ordering a cake seems simple enough with letting them know what you want and they take care of the rest with about a weeks notice. Cant wait!

We are so excited to have had a cake made for the reveal of our daughters gender by Sweet! She delivered at an extremely high level! The cake was beautiful, it was on time, and it tasted amazing.

Not very inviting. I stood there at the counter for awhile. I made eye contact with the younger girl and she quickly looked away and went off to look busy. So I ended up leaving never trying anything so I cant even judge the produce... Im sure if I was in my scrubs from work and parked my testla outside I would have gotten service quick but because I was in shorts and walked up I was ignored.

Had a cake made for my wifes birthday. My instruction, make it look pretty Angela took my vague instruction and hit it out of the park. Its the little things during the pandemic. Thanks Angela

Delicious cupcakes! Icing can be a bit too sweet for some cupcakes like red velvet but theyre still very good. Will be back!

I am a cupcake snob and this place makes the best cupcakes that Ive ever had. Once you try these you will forget all about Carlos, Magnolias, Crumbs, Georgetown, Melissas, and all those other designer cupcakes places. The cake is super moist and packed with flavor. The icing is sweet, but not overboard. I stumbled upon this place just walking around the neighborhood and will definitely be back soon.

This is the best place to stop for a coffee and a cupcake! Sweet has catered at least 5 events for us with sweets of all kinds and never disappoints. Also try the rice crispy treats- they are ridiculously good. The staff is so friendly I really cant say enough about this shop. They are simply the best at what they do.

Probably some of the best mini cupcakes around. I like that there are changing flavors every season and delicious staples that Im obsessed with. Great way to fix a sweet tooth without over doing oneself on dessert!

Went in for the first time today and asked what their signature items were. Was recommended and got a mini Red Velvet cupcake and a chocolate cupcake topped with chocolate chip cheesecake. Both excellent and the small coffee I got same with steamed milk which added a nice touch.Nice place that Id definitely recommend

I was walking by and just randomly decided to stop by and grab some cupcakes on my way up to Stevens. They were by far the best cupcakes Ive eaten thus far. This is compared to Magnolia Bakery in NYC and Starbucks cupcakes. Crumbs cupcakes are good as well, but fancier and more expensive. (also larger) But these are absolutely excellent. Red velvet is a must!

I have literally given you hundreds of dollars of business and today after I called and spoke to someone who told me that I would be OK if I came 5 minutes after you closed, you wouldnt open your door AT 6:05pm. Im so glad as a bakery you cannot make a 5 minute exception for a customer who is loyal enough to race to get to your shop as you close after calling ahead and making sure it would be OK to do that.I will NEVER give you my business again. Very rude customer service after I have been so loyal. Im unbelievably disappointed a business could be so rude.

Agree with the positive reviews. Occasional mixed service but no one seems to have noted that they are an amazing coffee place. Gourmet La Colombe beans by baristas who know what theyre doing.
