From accommodating our schedules by bringing a prospective purchase to us to review, to rearranging his schedule when our bank was delayed in order to allow us to purchase that day, Mike and East Lake have truly raised the bar as to what to expect from a dealer. After an expedited delivery, we drove the car to another state whose registry refused to follow their own procedures (imagine that) and Mike stood virtually by our sides reworking the needed paperwork remotely to make it right. I give Michael our highest recommendation and urge you to look at the true value you receive for your money here.

Since I hadn’t bought a car in a very long time, and knew a little about the car I was interested in, I wanted to wait to review my purchase and experience so that I wasn’t falsely ecstatic and could be objective. Sorry for the delay.Mike the owner was perfectly responsive and knowledgeable about the process of buying and selling, transferring, titles, fees, credits and the like. While that whole process is torturous anyway, Mike made it tolerable. He was professional and was methodically organized and appears to keep up-to-date with never-ending changes in state and county laws.I was advised in advance by my current mechanic from a well-known auto and tire service center to request we take the intended purchase to the local franchise of the same chain and let them do a ‘vehicle inspection’. Mike had no problem with this. His wife and I took the vehicle to a pre-arranged appointment (we had travelled from across State). I received a detailed print out of the condition of the car, which allowed me to make better decisions about going forward with the purchase. This process gave me a third party inspection without opinion on a 12-year old car.With friendly negotiations we struck a deal. After a new set of tires and an alignment I couldn’t be happier. Do not buy a car from here, I purchased my car from here two years ago and I’m still paying for it. They sold me a car that had been totaled and rebuilt. As soon as I drove off the lot every light on the dash turned on he told me that he got it turned off professionally but that there was nothing actually wrong with the car it was just a sensor that I could fix for $40, I took it to the dealership and they told me that it would be more than the car is worth to even fix it. After months and months they told me that on the title it was a total rebuild. This guy is the definition of car dealership scammer. Extremely pushy, uses all the cars for his own personal use, and goes through every loophole

When dealing with a car dealer, you want someone who is low pressure, someone you can trust, someone who is responsive to calls, texts, and e-mails, and someone who gives you good deals. I also would like someone who actually goes through the vehicle and verifies that fluid levels are right, and things are in proper working order. I believe Michael delivers on all those aspects. For those reasons I would feel comfortable buying from East Lake Cars in the future, and would recommend to others. East Lake charges a $299 dealer fee, so factor that into your budget and expectations. I just bought a Mazda 3 for my son, and although far from perfect, my son is happy with it, and I believe I got it at a fair price.

I used USAA to find a pre-owned truck, and they directed me to East lake Truck and Car sales. Mike had exactly what I was looking for. I purchased it, and have had no issues at all. Mike was very accommodating and helpful. Even when we had an issue with my bank and payment, he was very understanding.

It was very clean when I test drove it. His son who test drove with my boyfriend and I wasnt bothered by us checking everything out. My boyfriends uncle who was a mechanic for many years had them put it on a lift a few days later. He also liked them.Right after I bought the car, I noticed that there was an AC issue. Our tow car was totaled so we were looking for another car that could be flat-towed behind our motorhome. Theres a very limited selection of vehicles and model years that can be flat towed. Our preference was for a Honda Pilot SUV and it couldnt be newer than 2005.After an initial bad impression at East Lake, we went back because Mike had the lowest mileage 2005 Honda Pilot wed been able to find. We test drove it and found the rear A/C unit wasnt working. Mike said hed get it fixed and get back to us. Not having much faith in used car dealers, we continued looking figuring wed never hear from Mike again. Wrong! 4-5 days later Mike called to say the car was fixed! Amazing! So we went back, test drove it again and now are its happy owners:-)We are OR residents where theres no sales tax so the paperwork is different from a typical FL sale. Mike knew that since wed discussed it on our original visit. When we came back and said we wanted to buy the car, we were very pleasantly surprised to find Mikes title person had all the appropriate paperwork for an out-of-state sale to OR pretty much ready to go! Now THATS ATTENTION TO DETAIL!All in all were very pleased with our buying experience at East Lake. Its not the typical schlock used car outfit that its location and office would suggest. Recently bought a 2011 VW Jetta. Vehicle ran great and captivated me to want this vehicle in my life. Everything went fine after a few days though my check engine light came on. I assumed the worse. But the vehicle ran great. Took it in for inspection it needed new drums in the rear t(werent done.) And it needed a leak detection pump for the emissions system. If I didnt have to do anything to this vehicle Id give 5 stars. Just somewhat disappointed. Vehicle runs great. Will update further good or bad.

I usually do not write reviews but this time it was an absolute MUST! I honestly stumbled upon East Lake Truck & Cars accidentally and i am so happy that i did!!!! I have horror stories of buying cars from leaving a lot and the car breaking down within minutes to a dealer not giving me proper paperwork or tags the list goes on car buying alone is a hassle... well this time around it was a breeze i pulled up to the lot and was greeted by Mikes youngest son who gave me the run down as to where all the info to all the cars were and for me to feel free to ask any questions at first i was shocked at how much knowledge he had about every car i was then greeted by his father Mike when i say this is a family business it really is once i saw the car test drove it and spoke to my mechanic about it (my mechanic was with me and was told oh ya take a look do what you gotta do) we started the process which Ive always bought my cars cash so i wasnt familiar mike started off by trying to get me the best loan possible due to my lack of credit history i was not approved instantly and i could tell he really tried cause the disappointment was all over his face by that time it was late banks were closed and we agreed that i would meet with him on Monday due to my work schedule he said Ill hold the car for you free of charge i thought ya sounds good but from past experience i figured nope not happening well come monday i was getting everything situated thinking this is not gonna happen why am i waisting my time only to get a message stating if im still interested he is there and made calls over the weekend (with my permission) and ive been approved i was shocked a car dealer kept there word i went down he did all paperwork and was very thorough making sure i understood everything. There was no pushy car salesman no tricks just straight upfront and so helpful his cars are priced low especially for there quality my lender even stated that my car was priced about $2000 lower than its value and i looked for a lincoln mkz all over the miles were high or they were beat up so i was shocked to find mine in mint condition with low miles and all his cars were in great condition as i got my keys and was ready to leave he noticed that the gas tank was low i thought ya ok usually when you buy a car you need to put gas in no he said heres some money for gas enjoy your new car i was never pushed, i was informed about everything any questions were answered very well there were no tricks and i honestly felt like i was sitting talking and joking with family like i said i bumped into them accidentally but Im very happy i did!

Purchased a 2010 VW CC from this dealership a little over a month ago. Around 87,000 mileage, looked beautiful and in mint condition. Car itself had a tire pressure and headlight bulb sensor showing on the dash, but was passed off as not something to worry about.First night of owning the car, we realized there was an issue with the trunk sensor. The car would think the trunk would be opened at random, and would cause the car alarm to go off. Granted, I was directed to someone by the dealership owner to fix it for me, it ended up being a quick and easy fix, so Im grateful for that.3 days later, my check engine light came on. Took it in and discovered the intake manifold needed to be replaced. Luckily that was covered under the extended warranty, but while getting it diagnosed, a huge list of other problems with the vehicle was revealed, which came out to be over $2,000 in repairs. Had we known any of this, we would not have gotten the vehicle.I understand the car was sold as is, and theres no way of knowing if Mike knew of these problems. Bottom line, it turned out to be a negative experience with me purchasing the vehicle from this dealership.

I called this dealership just now and spoke with a gentleman who didnt even tell me his name. Now, Ive always negotiated pricing on vehicles before every purchase as Im usually willing to drive a good distance to the dealers with the best price. The gentleman I spoke with was clearly disinterested in speaking with me. When I asked about the price being negotiable he flat out said that he can ask but the answer will most likely be no and that they just lowered the price and so on (the same line every sales guy who is only worried about commission will give you). So basically, I wouldnt recommend calling this dealership, nonetheless purchasing from them.

I went to purchase car from East Lake. They had several cars of interest, all very nice, good prices. I put down deposit on Mazda3 on the weekend. A few days later my brother advised us he had car to give my daughter who had totalled her truck. I called Mike and he refunded my deposit promptly. Very honest and helpful.

Pretty good experience. Truck looks good, runs well, and price seems fair. A few items were not disclosed to us such as the seats cannot be adjusted because the handles are broken off. We should have noticed but it was late and we had a long drive. Nice experience overall.
