This place is amazing! The vibe is amazing, their knowledge is amazing, and they make some incredible jewelry! They even fixed up my custom wedding band!

They are awesome people with a lot of knowledge and have beautiful specimens. Sheryl is always friendly and John is an artist! Highly recommend even a visit just to see all the beautiful stones!

I love going here so much, the owners are always nice and the store is usually well stocked. Very beautiful and well organized store, they even have a full list of items that they have that customers can look at. They have almost anything you could possibly want, including fossils! Whenever someone asks for a gem store to go to, this is always at the top of my list.

Very dishonest.. Do not get your service done here! I went in for a jewelry appraisal. Their rates seemed to be the best at $100 an hour. I brought in my small box of fine jewelry and pulled out 3 pieces that I wanted appraised. I asked how much that would be and she told me it be about 30 minutes of work but the minimum charge was $100 an hour. I was okay with that. She then added more jewelry insuring that the appraiser could get them all done within in hour because he was very fast and efficient. It sounded too to good to be true but sounded great. At the end I was given an invoice ($100 for my appraisal and $100 for a jewelry repair. She told me it would be ready for pickup within 6 weeks. I asked that they would call me if anything changed (twice.) She said yes!! Eight weeks later I received a text asking if I wanted to repair a hairline fracture he found on a ring for $50? I text back yes. …. A week later (9 weeks total) I went in to pick my jewelry. I was told the total cost was $450. I said I didn’t approve of that and he said it took 3 hours to appraise my jewelry as he pointed to the invoice that it says “$100 per hour.) But as you can see on the invoice is written down for only 1 hour and I was told that $200 was my total for everything (plus $50 repair I approved via text.) I didn’t receive a call about any possible changes. When I asked the lady about our conversation, she said she couldn’t recall. Sigh😔. He refused to give me my jewelry unless I paid the $450. I even said I just want the appraisals for the hour work and he said it was done and I needed to pay him that. It felt very manipulative and dishonest. I hope this review can help prevent this happening to someone else.

Went here when I was visiting over the holiday weekend, I could of easily spent 3 hours in this store. They had a beautiful variety of crystals and stones. Big pieces, small, tumbled stones, raw. They had fossils and meteorites too. The women working was very friendly. They had lots of jewelry as well. The man working was friendly too. I felt very comfortable in the store. I didn’t feel I was being pressured or anything of that nature. Over all, I loved it and I would love to come back to visit! Thank you for supplying such a beautiful selection.

Its easy to lose track of time in the store. So many fossils, stones, gems and minerals I thought I might have died and went to heaven. Found a super cool Mosasaur tooth for only $10! Ive gotten other rocks here and was always super impressed. The couple that runs the place is very friendly and knowledgeable. I will be back.

They were so helpful! I got a pair of beautiful earrings and my daughter got some reasonably priced crystals and rose quartz.

I went into this store....and ended up here for like 4 hours just admiring their collection. Its very clean and everything is accessible. The owners are super nice people and will go over the top to make sure their customers leave with a smile 😃. You can feel good energy the moment you walk in the door. This is a local business. The owners, John and Sheryl, were very knowledgeble and happy to answers my questions. They were very patient and I learned a lot of new things from them. It is a great place ti find reliable and prifessional advice about gems, jewelry, coibs, gold and silver. And rhe prices are very good too compared to other places.

Found this great family on the business. They specialize in custom jewelry and repair work. But also have really cool rocks fossils and minerals. So far my favorite rock shop! 100% would recommend! Best of all their great people too!

Ive been going here for years and wont go anywhere else. Great family owned buisness at a great value! Jon made my wifes and my wedding rings. Mine was a custom made ring made with an iron meteorite with the widmanstaten pattern. Absolutely love it! He can make what you have in your mind and make it a reality. The store has so much to offer for jewlery or mineral / fossil collectors. Wide variety of things to choose from! Very happy with the service!

I have been going to this store for 20+ years. They always do quality work. I will only take my jewelry to be repaired by them. I have been dooped by chain stores in past and I trust this locally owned business. John has amazing talent in his skill. They are always friendly. I recommend them to all my friends and family. In fact they have made an engagement ring for one of my sons it was beautiful.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Started off being a great place but as soon as I had a question about some work that was done on my wedding ring I was treated horribly. Called names, laughed at and then I was attacked by their son when I wrote a bad review. He threatened to sue me for false claims and wouldnt stop harassing me till I had to block him. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Love this store, the owners really care about their customers. Their jewelry is priced lower than the cookie cutter stores and they make beautiful custom jewelry. They worked with my husband to make a beautiful custom wedding ring and band, it was what made me fall in love with their store

We went in for a ring resize and were amazed by their awesome same day service. I went in expecting to be without my ring for weeks but it was done withing a few hours. Excellent service and awesome store too.

If I could give 0 starts I would. Sold them a wedding ring set and purchased a beautiful pair of earrings from them last year to find out today that there fake!!! I paid almost $800 for them to be told by three different places including Jareds, that they’re worthless. Do not, I repeat, do not buy from here! So sad!

Went here for ring resize, JP Gems beat Zales price by 60% and work was excellent. The store itself is amazing, if you love metals/rocks/minerals this is the place. They also have fossils and rare minerals. It’s almost like a museum! Owners are super friendly and knowledgeable. Will shop here again.

An unfortunate story of a lost decade long business relationship. I have known John and Sheryl for several years and have purchased several pieces of Jewelry from them ranging from spontaneous diamond earrings to multi-thousand dollar custom wedding rings. In the beginning, they were great and in full disclosure, his quality of work is solid which inspired me to tell others about JP Gems. We sent several friends and family to him, who purchased everything from 2+ carat diamonds to custom rings, etc. Without going into great detail about the events, I will just tell you this. In the last year, their lack of customer service and integrity has pushed me to a point just short of aquiring legal council. Today I was saddened that in the end John did not do what was right and complete the work I was more than happy to pay him to do. I picked up the ring UNFINISHED that he had in his possession for over a year and a half.BUYER BEWARE!

They are the worst custom jewelry I have ever had done, they say the metal is something its not and say its a chemical reaction but it wasnt its not sterling silver. The jewelry is falling apart only after 3 weeks of having it. They need to do something else in there life cause they dont know how to enhance your jewerly. They just know how to take your money an make excuses instead of excepting the trash they give you! DONT GO TO THEM!!!
