I purchased a brand new engine to replace my port engine. I also purchased brand new riser manifolds, bolts and gaskets for the new port engine and for my starboard engine. All these items were replaced by the same mechanic who has worked on my boat for 15 plus years. The engine had less than 5 hours of running time on on the water before leaving the dock to go on its first run. During its first run the engine began to loose oil pressure. Marine Engine refused to honor its warranty claiming the engine took on water from the risers. All the parts were purchased from Marine Engines. The starboard engine which also had the riser and manifolds replaced at the same time by the same mechanic with all brand new parts purchased from Marine Engine is running great and does not have water. On the website it they claim to have a ONE YEAR WARRANTY. This issue was within 6 months of the purchase. I was even willing to buy another engine and they gave me a price which was more than what I paid for the first replacement engine. I would never recommend buying anything from this company.

Must say they had just what I wanted. Lucky for me I live close enough to just go pick up my new engine myself. Very professional guys selling a quality marine engine at a fair price. I will recommend them to anyone at my marina. Before I left the shop I told them I would be installing the engine myself the response I got from that was call me if you have any questions. That told me they care about their customers. Very nice people and were a pleasure to do business with. My boat has never been this well powered since I bought it. Put it back in the water on 7/11/20 will update if necessary but I dont think I will need to. 12/4/2020 update I did have an issue with water getting into cylinder one. I think I know how it happened tough water slapped up into the exhaust and flappers were too stiff to stop it. That caused the push rods to bend on cylinder 1. I took the engine out brought it to them. Lucky for me It didnt destroy the engine. I believe they went out of my there way to make sure everything was in good running order. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy.

Would give 0, but cant. Does not honor warranty. Bought engine and had it installed by a mechanicknown to Marine Engines - said he was the best. Then proceeded to say that the mechanic must have done something wrong with the install. Oil pressure dropped to zero in the first 5 hours of operation. Still getting the run around.

Great service and communication. Owner stood by his product when some complications arose during the installation of the new engine. Owner went above an beyond during the Covid Pandemic to make sure the engine was delivered in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Marine Engines, Inc.

I believe in supporting the local Brick and Mortar whenever possible unless their prices are ridiculous. These guys are FAIR and possess a lot of knowledge in their products. I purchased 4 Crusader Risers, and paid maybe 40 bucks more than I could find online, but well worth knowing the products are 1st rate quality and not some cheap knock offs that failed quality control at the plant, and in turn were sold cheaper by some wholesaler... ... Very good experience, and Ill surely go back for other parts in the future. Buying OEM, or factory brand has benefits.. You get what you pay for.

I got exactly what I needed from them, shipped the same day. And, by the way, their service comes with a smile -- they definitely care about their customers!

After waiting more than 6 weeks to have my marine transmission rebuilt by another New England company, I contacted John and his guys. They were super friendly and clearly knew what they were doing.I brought my transmission to them and they rebuilt it, Dyno tested it, and repainted it in 2 days! All for a grand less than the other company.

A zero is too good for these crooks. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! They told me they build the engine, they do not grooms engines out of Tn. Read the horrible reviews on them before you buy! My engine lost over 40 psi at start up never even left the dock, they said to run it it was fine. Motor was 1000 rpm low on w.o.t. would not make power! sent motor back they did not stand behind any of it. I have had to hire an attorney I have not gotten my money back on the engine over 4000.00 and a huge run around!

I can’t imagine that we won’t get better performance with the test results props after changing the engine AND tranny. It may even be a 4 vs. 3 blade prop. Damn they are quiet and smooth and the temp and oil gauges are right on. I still really appreciate you educating me to changing the trannies to make the Crusader 6.0 work torque wise. Since this is what Tiara has been doing since the 8.1 were discontinued I know it is the best power plant combo. Feel free to use me as a reference. They aren’t guzzling gas either like the 8.1’s would. More room down below too.
