In all honesty this my first time going to this store to buy something in years. The store was clean and not in disarray. There were (3) employees on duty at the time, (2) assisted me they were friendly and somewhat helpful in the item I was looking for. Since I dont live in the area I cant offer any more information.

My familys been going there for years to get fabrics and little knickknacks we need for the house. Sometimes its a hit or miss with some of the fabrics but its worth going and they have an awesome staff nice people.

I was very frustrated because i got put on hold for my curbside order and it was wrong I told the manager. And she went ABOVE AND BEYOND to fix my issue. I haven’t had this level of amazing customer service in a long time from any where. She was so sweet and kind i can’t believe the hoops she jumped through to make me happy. I appreciate her so much for that.

The in store pick up orders are always cancelled and without notice. The store never seems to have enough of anything on stock and the store is messy. The employees are helpful though!

My online pick up is the best Super easy, everything is ready and check out is fast. The downside, with all the sales is never easy to just go for one thing...lol

Today I went to buy a cloth and Miss San treated me quite badly. So much so that she left the tablecloth she bought on the table but she did not fold it.It is true that she had many doubts about the amount she would need, but I told her that she could serve other customers.There is no reason for her to have that behavior with me. Its a shame, I told the cashier because the truth is very unpleasant.I believe that a person who serves the public must be careful and above all patient.

I have been shopping at this store for years because it is around the corner from where I live. I have also sent thousands of sewing students through the years. Many students came back to class with stories of lacking customer service and respect for the customer. I always made excuses and said I understood. But today will be the last day I will spend any money at this store around the corner. I will drive a few miles to spend my money where I am respected.Two weeks ago I made a list of what I needed to finish a few unfinished project. I had a 20% coupon on the total sale which would have saved me close to $20. When I went to check out I was told the coupon was only good if I ordered everything online through the app to be picked up. I couldnt use it in the store. I was shocked and angry because its always a problem with the coupons always bringing you through the door but never being applied to the purchase.Sunday I needed some blue dye and ordered it through the app to use the 20% coupon. I placed the order and waited an hour for a reply. I received one saying the order is being processed. I clicked on the app and noticed the store was closing at 6pm which was in 15 minutes. I rushed over to pick up the dye because I needed it that night. The sale was $2.13. When I arrived and showed them my sale on the app asking for my order, I was told I couldnt pick it up and had to come back the next day. I was very angry and went to Michaels which was open until 7pm.The customer service is the worst. What the sales clerk should have done was take my order number that was ONLY $2.13 - gave me what I ordered and when it processed through their system they could have said it was picked up. Instead you lost a long time customer over 2 bucks. Ill be shopping at mom and pops. I deserve to be treated a lot better. Ive put up with it for years. Ive listened to the complaints for years. I wont be giving you anymore of my hard earned money. Learn from me and do better. Start treating your customers with respect like they matter to your bottom line. My Blue Dye is still sitting to be picked up. I dont need it now so you can refund my my money of 2 BUCKS. Do better!

The stock is fine but only 1 cashier. You stand in line for quite awhile. I dont like how they set up their coupons. Theres a stipulation with almost all of them. They know they have the monopoly with no other fabric stores to choose from and their prices reflect that. Not overly impressed.

Here we dont get much customer service for the prices we have to pay. The person in charge of cutting the fabric is always somewhere else, and it takes forever to get someone to come over. Nobody ever ask if you need anything or help to find something....JOANN company is lucky there is not much competition...But beware there are a lot of companies online and offering free shipping! And I found a replacement already. So good luck.

Every time I come to this store, the women always have an attitude. I dont know if theyre grumpy, or the owner likes to hire grumpy people. But it makes me feel very uncomfortable. Theyre always Moody, and lack of patience.

They were closed due to system diwn..so I had to go to Michaels instead.

Selection of fabrics very poor. just for prom dresses and flannels, mink they are ok, not enough for regular shirts or regular clothing. not enough personal to cut materials, theres always a line. All the great people who used to know about everything are gone. Even the ones selling machines are terrible. they are only there to sell their machines, thats it. Real sad but I guess our only choice is travel to NY or california to buy nice fabrics

No customer service, slow check out (very slow) great place if you are retired and have nothing else to do and no place else to go.

This place is full of craft things and decor. The fabric selection is impressive. The prices were good and the lady who cuts fabric was super sweet. She did not pressure me and allowed me to really take my time. Most importantly there was no judgment of my project. People sometimes dont understand clothing for dogs. The girl at the checkout was not so sharp and spoke for the floor, she was sweet but maybe should not be at a register. It smells good in this place too..

This is a great place to get seasonal decorations and florals that wont die on you. Its the season for weddings now. That means they will have all of the things you need to throw a great wedding or reception. If youre a baker, this is a great place to get your tools of the trade. I sew, so I enjoy the variety of exotic prints and types of material. Their staff is really helpful and knowledgeable.

I went to JOANN in Hollywood, FL to return two items. Alina who initially serviced me, had trouble processing the return. She got on the mic with a manager / supervisor who asked for the date of purchase, which she stated correctly - 12/20/18. Then said, oh its over 90 days. and told me I need to wait for someone else. I immediately told her, the return its not over 90 days, in fact I have a week left. I even counted the months, and she told I was wrong. She insisted she was right and I was wrong.When the manager came, she attempted to process my return. Then was halted because it was a Legacy Return. I had to ask her multiple times and persist in her telling me what that was. She finally told me that it meant, she needed to do an override because it was close to the 90-day mark. This doesn’t make sense to me, if I am within a return policy why does it need an override.Once my return was processed by an override of some sort. I asked where is the 90-day return policy written, she told me its in the handbook. I pointed to the back of my purchase receipt where it says You can return any JOANN purchase any time with no hassle. She told me that every store has a return policy, and its different for every store and that JOANN is 90 days. I told her I agreed and I understood that but to explain to me how whats written and given to me, as a customer, saying ANY TIME equal to 90 days. Her response was to say not all stores have a written policy nor put it on the receipt. I dont believe that, I think every store has their policy written clearly for customers in store or on the receipt. She just directed me to the handbook. I asked wheres the handbook or where is it in store, she just said its in the handbook. Because I was given my return, she concluded it was hassle free so they met their policy.I do not find being told that I am over the 90-day policy, when I am not (it’s day 84) has hassle free. Nor do I find not being told the answers to my questions, or going in circles about things has hassle free. The back of the receipt says, Because creativity should be uncomplicated at the end of the return policy, my return was FAR from being uncomplicated. Because two employees, who would not answer simple direct questions I had and just wanted to blame me for things, filled it with attitude, unanswered questions, and rudeness.

I went to one Jo-Ann fabrics looking to get a picture framed. The 1 in Hollywood Florida does not do frames nor do they sell frames. But the 1 in Pembroke Pines does. I went to that particular Joanns and I was able to get professional like assistance in choosing my frame. I did choose their service and the price was fairly moderate. Im excited about the actual outcome and can hardly wait!

Excellent selection, not always well maintained, though. It can be hard to find what youre looking for and the staff isnt always much help. Overall, service is generally good, but spotty. Sometimes youll get someone who is quite helpful; other times youre not sure if they know what theyre doing or talking about.
