From the minute I walked in I had the best experience. Everybody Was so friendly! From the woman at the front desk to his assistant; the doctor himself, and the gentleman who helped pick out my glasses. I usually hate going to the eye doctors. This time, I’m looking forward to going to pick up my glasses! I think I have found my place.

I just recently moved into in the area and had it was my yearly eye exam and decided to try out Beranek Optometry and it was the best decision. The staff is friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. And Dr. Beranek was amazing he listened to my eye sight problem and went above and beyond to get me the perfect eye prescription. A little limited with eyewear but with online glasses frames being so competitive it’s hard to compete and make any profit in that market. So you have the essentials and options. We were referred to Doctor B years ago when my daughter was struggling to see correctly. She is an equestrian rider and doctors were not able to match her eye sight with a good prescription. Doctor B being an equestrian himself understood the challenges and was able to find the correct prescription. My experience was good. When I came in they gave a tablet to fill out my personal information, the tablet was fast and before I finish it someone was there to pick it up. They took my old glasses, just to review they took pictures of my eyes and did my exam, In the two I will be picking the new ones up. It was a good experience.

Earlier this year in April 2020, my mother was having vision issues with her glasses. It had been a number of years since she had an eye exam and fitting for prescription glasses, so she made an appointment with Dr. Beraneks office. She went in and had a FULL eye exam and fitting for her new glasses. As anyone knows, a full eye exam checks for many things including an examination of the lenses of the eyes themselves. After the full exam and fitting, she was suggested to get a set progressive lenses and new frames. Now granted, my mother is the one that chose to go with $200 frames instead of a style of frame that would be covered by her insurance, but the progressive lenses were the expensive part at a cost of $500.Now all this I wouldnt be upset about if her vision issues were solved. But after a couple of months, and not wanting to say anything because she felt embarrassed because of how much she spent and her vision not improving but deteriorating since April, we decided to make an appointment with an opthamologist.During the examination, she was told that she had cataracts covering 85-90% of both eyes. It was recommended that she get surgery as soon as possible. Now because of the severity of her case, she needed to have the laser surgery on each eye which was not covered by her insurance, yet again now another cost pertaining to her vision.Thankfully her vision now is better than its been in decades.Now normally I wouldnt leave such a detailed commentary about a business, especially one that our family has used for more ths than 40 years since moving to the area, and had success with for that time. But I find it extremely hard to believe that during a FULL eye exam, that the issue of her cataracts and how severe they were not addressed AND proceeding with making a $700+ sale of new glasses, I believe to be wreckless, unprofessional and bad business practices.Now I gave them a 2 star rating because they do have a clean facility, but that is the only nice thing that I will say about them now.UPDATE:As you can see, I was contacted directly by Dr. Beranek. He apologized for any miscommunication and confusion that might have happened, and the issue has been resolved. I commend him for reaching out personally to make sure that my mother is satisfied with her experience. I would like to give an additional 2 stars to their rating because of this, but cannot give a 5 star rating since I was never personally a patient of his.

The best most attentive doctor ever!!!! Dr. Beranek really does go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect .. i drive a lot for work and was without decent Sight for 2 years because( I was scared after my last experience in another place ) I was searching in Hollywood and saw the ratings and I decided to call in and scheduled my appointment went in all the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful I explained my situation: I thought I was incapable of wearing contacts because my previous doctor was not as patient and dedicated to their work as Dr. Beranek due to my iris size being too big fitting me was a little more work and some trial and error but he did not give up or just tell me some excuse to get rid of me he took his time To make sure it was just right. honestly I cannot say enough good things or even express how grateful I am to have come across such a great doctor! I’m finally able to see the beauty in the details all around me, which were for a long time a blur. I live over an hour and a half away and the care I received with the doctor and staff will make me a lifelong patient I’ve recommended all my friends and family !!!

We recently visited the Hollywood Florida area for a vacation and my daughter forgot to pack her contact lenses. We contacted several area Optometrists hoping to fill her prescription locally. After going to Dr. Beranek for about 10 years and referring multiple friends and family members to him, I will never go back, after my last experience with the staff there.I had gotten glasses for my daughter there, and being a kid she damaged them. They were very flimsy and should not have been recommended for a kid. I brought them to the staff to show them the damage. Boris took them from my hands and literally snapped them in half in front of me. Yes they were messed up but they were still wearable. Thank goodness I had her old pair from Walmart so she could still see at school, until I got her new ones.I have never felt so demeaned and degraded by the staff of a place where I was a customer/patient. The whole front staff ganged up on me to tell me how its my fault and my kids fault. And do you think they reimbursed me for the glasses they broke, or they replaced them? Ha. They wouldnt even give me a copy of her prescription, so I could go elsewhere. And they wouldnt let me talk to Dr. Beranek despite calling and leaving messages.At one point Boris apologized for speaking to me the way he did, and Maddy attempted to get new glasses covered by my insurance, but it was too little too late. I can never set foot there again. Gladly paid $300 for a new exam and glasses elsewhere, just to never have to be spoken to like that.

Had such a great experience here! Pretty much only dealt with Marlen and Renee and they were so helpful. Very professional and patient as I feel it took me a while to pick a pair of glasses. Not once did Marlen seem even a little annoyed that I was choosing from like 15 pairs. She gave her professional opinion on every pair and listened to my needs and wants. I just love her!!!! Beranek Optometry is the best! My insurance gave me a list of optometrist that accepted my insurance around my area. I called a few offices and they were either rude,were not open weekends, or didnt have open appointments for a month! I finally called the 6th place which was this one and the lady on the phone was so nice and gave me an appointment for the following Saturday. I went in and the place was gorgeous, the staff was so nice that they even watched my kids while i took my eye exam ( they have the cutest little corner with toys to entertain costumers kids ).The doctor fitted me for contacts and provided me with a very thorough eye exam. Because of his updated technology he did not have to dilate my eyes. They had me watch a video on contact lenses since it was my first time trying them, and they even test me on taking them off and on before i left. Then Renne helped me pick out my glasses, she was so patient with me. She helped me pick out a bunch of glasses and gave me really good advice on how they fit my face and my skin tone. Their selection of glasses is amazing and very trendy. The glasses were ready to pick up in less then five days. I was so pleased i brought my daughter for her first eye exam the next week . I will def be back next year when i need another exam!

I am in hollywood florida on vaction. Needed to have my eye checked because of an issue and. Went to the doctor beranek office at 9am Saturday. The staff was super friendly. The doctor was on his way but they called him. They came me an appointment immediately although they were fully booked. I have never experienced such care and concern. The doctor was extremely nice and helpful. They did All The necessary tests. Fortunately for me all was normal. I would recommend this doctor and his office to anyone. I found Dr. Beranek on a Google search so I felt the need to share my wonderful experience with other Googlers. After going to 3 different optometrists, I was beggining to lose hope that I would find anyone who could help me find the right contacts for my eyes. I not only have astigmatism, but I have severe dry eye. Every other Dr. dismissed my conditions as incurable and told me I could probably not wear contacts again. I actually had been wearing glasses for 7 months straight before I found Dr. Beranek! He took the time to review my previous records, listened to what I had to say, and most importanatly was genuinely concerned with trying to help me find a contact to fit my needs. Because of his examination and follow up, I cant believe myself, but I finally have the freedom to wear contacts again.I highly recommend Beranek Optometry because not only is he wonderful, but his office staff is organized and friendly which is huge because they are the gateway to the Dr. himself.
