This Barnes & Noble is two stories tall it does have an elevator for handicapped people had a good time shopping and my daughter had a free cupcake because shes part of the kids club but when I went to go check out after buying a book a toy and a train set thing the cashier asked if I was part of the rewards program and I entered in my email address and he said oh youre only part of the kids program and Im like yeah do I get anything for that and he was like no but we have this other program but didnt explain the program to me and was really kind of rude and I would have signed up for your program definitely if I get discounts and points or percentages off but I guess he didnt care for to sign me up for this card or even tell me how to sign up for the extra points card other than that I had a lovely experience in the store is huge.

This is two floors of book bliss! Friendly staff, great selection, very clean and organized, even hand written cards promoting some of the books on the shelf. My dad and I loved it and will be back!

I thought this place would sell barns but I was pleasantly surprised by their selection of books. I really need to find a place that sells barns though, it’s because I met this girl on match.com and I pretended I was Amish because I thought she’d like me more. Now we’ve really hit it off and she’s coming from the Virgin Islands to see me in a few weeks. I really love her so I don’t want to her to find out I’m really just a non-Amish guy. Great bookstore!

Barnes & Noble has by far the best customer service. Their associates do not even hang up the phone when you call to ask if they have a product unlike Walmart or Target you call them to ask if they have a box of sports cards not only do you get an attitude but most of the time you get hung up on Barnes & Noble is a phenomenal business keep up the good work

If you like to read a great place to go

There is nothing better then enjoying your lunch hour finding a good book and then ordering a Starbucks coffee and caprese sandwich. Yes Covid takes away the ability to enjoy all that right there but soon enough the experience will be compete.

Always clean, no complaints. Bathroom available as well as hand sanitizer. Plentiful amount of reading material can be found on two floors in this store as well as toys, journals, art and activity sets, etc. Membership savings make it easy for birthday or holiday shopping.

The place is great except for the café. The staff of the café are incompetent and are not efficient. They need to be trained. They are very slow.

Book store its self was great. Lots to chose from. The cafe on the other hand not so great. I stood there waiting to order and got completely ignored. Its not like she didnt see me because she walked right near where i was and continued to do whatever she was doing. There was no one else in line or even waiting on an order. After 5 mins of being ignored i left.

Went there last week to pick up a book I ordered online, and it was my first visit. To be honest, I was disappointed that I had to leave so quickly, because it looked as though it was a wonderful place to spend some time reading. There was this wonderful dark haired woman there, who was more than helpful. I wish I caught her name, just because she was so pleasant, and all. Great store, w a vast variety of reading materials, and sections to choose from! I cant wait til my next visit, and I will definitely be spending more time browsing the collections there.

Definitely an amazing place to be, however some things are wildly overpriced compared to Amazon. Still somewhere I love visiting and getting books from.

What I liked is, they finally got rid of oldoutdated magazines (newstand). Issuesdated back as March, April. The isles onthe first floor has moved around.Computer/photography books is nowon the second floor. The calendars for2021 is out for sale. This is the Barnes& Noble in Holyoke, MA.

The associate that helped me and my son was super helpful, and friendly, as was a different associate that cashed us out. I was able to easily locate a book that wasnt available on Amazon, and can read it now! Will go back ASAP!

So much to see and do. The book & magazine selection is outstanding, books can be ordered and shipped. The childrens section is a great place to go with children and grandchildren, huge toy area and a Starbucks.

A great place to browse, visit and relax. Found the items I came in for. Had a nice visit in the cafe. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

I always enjoy my visit. They made some changes since my last visit and it was not clearly labeled. There was staff to help me find what I was looking for quickly though. Overall I had an enjoyable experience and look forward to another visit.

Great place to buy books for school

Well I tried to go to Barnes & Noble Holyoke with my kids on June 30, 2020. I was told where to stand by the manager, even though I wasnt doing anything wrong. I was already standing on the designated area for social distancing. The manager with long hair (dont know her name) rudely instructed me where to stand like I was a 4 year old and then had a customer come from behind me and my son causing the customer to (gasp) not social distance. She then took that customer to the counter to show her something. No idea why I would bother coming back to your Stasi style post-world war 2 East Germany store with ridiculous rules none of which I broke. I think I will just buy books way cheaper on Amazon.

I just go for the Starbucks. Use Amazon folks

Maggie met us at the door of Barnes & Noble Holyoke MA on Saturday, April 27. She possesses the best of the best in customer service. Maggie was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Each time we go to the Holyoke store, I will try to find Maggie. Thank you for another experience in excellent customer service.

It is a Barnes and Nobel which yes they are still open. On this visit we did locate the book we were looking for but it was not where it should have been and was on an end cap where staff did not even know it was. The bathroom is also just as difficult to spot and was not clean. Overall its nice to look at items once in a while before buying online but I see why people enjoy the comforts of their home and the internet

Wonderful book/cafe store. Could easily spend hours there just looking around. The only minor problem I had was locating a sales person to help direct me to something I was looking for. More staff on the floor would be beneficial.

Great store for books - if you like that sort of thing. What strikes me as odd though, is having a Starbucks Cafe, and a Starbucks that commands a very significant portion of the store, but the earliest its open is 9am. So basically what I am trying to say, is not a bad spot for your 2nd or 3rd cup of coffee.

Barnes and Noble has always been my go-to destination for last-minute Christmas/birthday/whatever gifts. You can always find a book that covered any interest or niche hobby. Recently, I began to frequent B&N to fuel my toy-collector habits. The amount of toys, figures, puzzles, and other collectibles they stock has increased over the years and B&N has become one of my primary go-to stores when Im looking for Marvel figures, Lego sets, Funko Pop dolls, Harry Potter merchandise, and other collectibles. Need a book? Come here. Need a toy? Come here. Need some coffee? This B&N has a Starbucks in it (most of them do, I believe), so come here for that too. Just come here... youll find something to satisfy your interests, I promise.
