Amazing place. The staff is excellent & the farm fresh products they sell the best. The owner is usually there (Robert) working the check out & will provide you with an wealth of knowledge, history, & info for each & every item in the store. This place is like going back in time seeing old school farm stores out in the country. Also the petting zoo is a delight. The animal are super friendly & they have food for the animals u can buy. Kids will enjoy it there & the adults will too. Last thing, their smoothies & milk shakes are simply.... AMAZING!! A great place to visit for the entire family.Best of all, the price of admissions is FREE!!!!!!
We were on vacation and visited an alligator park nearby and happened upon this amazing fruit stand! We enjoyed a smoothie, a key lime shake, and fresh fruit samples. The thing I loved most was that they had produce I had never even heard of! I bought fresh sliced mango, and passion fruit to share and my kids tried the miracle fruit. We loved the animals too. I’m glad we stopped!
A great place to shop for any local or exotic fruits as well as any flavor of salsa, jams, jellies, and baked goods. They also have huge selection of smoothies and shakes, all made with their locally and imported fruits so its choice quality for anyone. Robert is Here is a down to earth local family owned fruit stand with a mini petting zoo so its family and kid family. A must stop for locals and definitely for any visitors, 👌🏾😊👍🏾
Made a quick stop in the morning as we were told that it’s a must-visit attractive there in Homestead FL. It’s a family run business with variety of fruits and products. However the price tags are pricier than we expected as compare with other farmer markets. We did enjoy their key lime milkshake very much.
Fun place to grab a fresh fruit smoothie or shake, buy fresh fruits, flowers and jams...lots of local sauces and honey as well. In the back they have an aviary and livestock for kids to look at. BBQ and live music if you feel like hanging out for a while. A little oasis of delicious stuff among the beautiful farmland views.
I doubt anyone reading this will be from Ohio but this is like two of our favorite places combined. Youngs jersey dairy, some of the best homemade ice cream in our area and Jungle Jims international market, where we go for the best produce and those hard to find items. Roberts has the variety, entertainment value and quality that makes a visit here more of an event. We really enjoyed our visit and if we lived closer this place would be on our regular list.
Some popular tourist stops are absolutely as good as advertised and this is one of those stops. The smoothies here were as good as any I have ever had. The selection of fresh fruits and vegetables was amazing and delicious honeys, salsas, jams, and all sorts of wonderful things. We got to meet Robert who was very nice and down to Earth. Wonderful place. Heaven on Earth.
So this is located in the southern end of the County. Its a place where locals and tourists merge to pick up locally farmed fresh fruit, vegetables, jams, condiments, raw honey, and lunch. They have a mini zoo where various types of fowl and animals peacefully coexist. There are tables for outdoor dining and benches where you can sit right across from the pets. It has a slow paced old fashioned feel to it, even the cashiers tally you up by adding up your items with pen on a brown paper bag. Nobody rushes you out, you can stand and watch the machine make fresh squeezed pineapple juice as long as you choose to. The restroom is a port-a-potty and masks are mandatory to enter the premises. Youll enjoy your time spent at Robert Is Here. Robert may very well be your cashier.
Must visit place when in SoFlo just because of the history and popularity. Lots of great flavors of fresh fruit milkshakes, cash or card is fine to pay with (see my picture for flavors/pricing as of Summer 2021), line moves fast, quality is great, you taste chunks of actual fruit in the shake and can even see while they are preparing it. They still use PLASTIC STRAWS AND STYROFOAM cups which was shocking to me given the apparent good business this place pulls especially with tourists, they clearly profit of the the soil, animals and environment hence should commit to saving it! The live music quality fluctuates, last time around it was great, this time was kind of a drag and was on the inside part of the establishment as opposed to outside by the street. Lots of fresh fruit, honey, boiled peanuts, craft etc (just scroll thru my pics). What I most dislike about this place is the animal enclosure, smelly and humid, but they’re farm animals right? But still kinda sad to see so many animals in there in the sweltering heat. Spaced out seating is good for COVID distancing and lots of picnic tables in shaded areas to watch the animals or your kids as they play in the playpen/grass. Picnic tables should be cleaned, dry bird feces and food spills are all over, this establishment doesn’t pride itself on cleanliness. A few outdoor toilets but toilet paper is scattered all over the ground on the outside (used and unused!!), didn’t see anyone tending to the cleanliness of this area either. BBQ gets going later in the day, but I didn’t try it, so no comment, take a look at pics for pricing if interested. A few antique planes, farm machinery for photo ops.
The ongoing pandemic has definitely taken a toll on a lot of businesses and public places since a consumers mindset to buy anything outside of essentials or to visit a public place like a park or beach, has crippled down significantly. Now by living with what has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses and public places continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards. It is now all the more important that we as customers, support these heroes during these dark hours to mankind.En route Everglades NP, you will wonder if the ‘Fruit ninja’ game has come to life. If you had the super power to swipe and slice, you will be awarded the Combo points in tons as you walk through this fruits haven. We made a stop at this place after reading about its history and walked in between crates of fruits we had not even heard about and some fruits had four to five different varieties of their own. We even got a chance to meet the founder Mr.Robert with his uncanny presence (and with a mask) at the counter and took a selfie with him. He was nice, warm and handed out brochures if we needed to order anything in the future. They have more than just fruits and sell honey, jams, jellies and a lot more. Step out and you will even find acres of their cultivation fields. We joined a band of customers waiting to pick their fruit juices or milk shakes that was ordered. While waiting to be called on the mic (yes, you read it right - a 🎤), you can walk around the mini zoo they have where different animals like tortoise, goats, cows and birds are housed. The milk shakes were amazing if not for excellent. I rate this place a star less as I didn’t find boards that mandated social distancing or mask-wearing. May be they had, but weren’t obviously placed as I didn’t find any pronounced warning signs.
Staff is helpful Robert was actually there lol. He is kinda like the fruit Santa lol. I mainly went in search of unusual tropical fruits found a few great tasting ones, some Im still waiting on them to ripe properly to taste. What I really loved was at check out for each unusual item you have for example I got so.e cactus peach, they will ask have you had it before if you say no they will instruct you on the correct way to eat n store them, which is pretty amazing most persons just take your money n send you on your way. Fruits ate seasonal and offerings also are dependent on the time you go there literally when were about to leave a guy brought in a box of deliciously fresh purple skin sugar apples of course I waited for them to add them to the stock so I could purchase it. So just be mindful of that. The back area is really cool you can purchase a $3 bag of lettuce n feed the animals in the back. They all eat lettuce, Ducks, cows, emu, goat to name a few.
Cool place! Loved my strawberry mango milkshake! The line was outrageous. We spent most of our time waiting in lines. First the line to order and then the line to pick up. I wish they had fans inside. Anyway, that was partly our fault because we went at the busiest time. The people were extremely nice! And very informative! I loved that I got to sample the Kermit Mango. The man behind the mango sample was my favorite person. Very helpful and super friendly. I definitely want to make a return trip to the fruit stand. There are so many things to try!
Fun place to spend plenty of time. The main event are the smoothies. There is ALWAYS a line out of the door for these things. They’ve got all types of flavors. Their market has something for everybody. My fave was the mini petting zoo in the back. The market sells animal food for $4. Def worth it
First, the amazing things about Robert is Here...the fruit and veggies are fresh and beautiful and the shakes are everything delicious. The little zoo out back is so much fun! You can buy lettuce, usually at a discounted price if youre buying the cheaper, prepackaged romaine to feed the animals. Then you just kind of make your way along the fence and feed the goats and other fun little farm animals. They all look beautifully cared for, healthy and happy. The owner is typically working at a register, which is totally neat to see that he is so hands on and involved. It is absolutely a must do thing if you have an hour or two to spare and are in the area. As for the not so great things...the line for the shakes gets really long and you end up crowding in a small space with 30 other people waiting for their order. Then, there is a little play area outside that has a couple of picnic tables and some toys for kids, like the little plastic houses. Its REALLY run down, has standing water in the middle of what used to be an area that the kids could run around and play in and the toys/houses are yucky dirty. This little spot has SO much potential but its wasted. A few bucks and they could make it great again. I used to love letting my kids run around but I took my granddaughter last weekend and was a bit grossed out...and I was embarrassed to show any of the pictures to anyone because she was standing in a playhouse that was filled with dirt.
Good ole fashioned fruit n vegetable stand with milkshakes, a small zoo in the back and live music playing. Hard to find fruits n veggies, they been doing it a long time.
Such a neat little place! They have a great variety of fresh fruits and veggies, a great selection of sauces, jams, relishes, etc. The prices are pretty affordable too! Such a neat experience. The staff were all super friendly. There is a place to sit in the back by the petting zoo with parrots and other animals, as well as a play area in the back. We ordered a papaya milkshake, blackberry milkshake, as well as strawberry banana smoothies, and though we could not finish all of them, they were delicious!
You must stop here. The fruits are so fresh and delicious. The variety is unbeatable. Their spreads and sauces are bomb.I wish i tried their smoothies but we didnt have time. They have a petting zoo, that had a bull which made me really sad but I hope he was rescued or something.
We visited Robert Is Here as a quick stop in before entering the Everglades. Quickly surprised, we underestimated the amazingness of this operation. Every fruit and veggie in season was neatly piled high with care. Robert, himself, was there to eagerly serve; along with his adult children who went out of their way to help pick the timely ripe fruit and patiently educate us with all our questions. The animal sanctuary was a wonderful delight as we feed the array of rescued animals and birds. We spent around $100 on rare fruits, salsa, a variety of bee products, and memorabilia. Definitely a must see!
Really enjoyed the smoothies. Highly recommend them. Lines can be long but it goes by quickly. Also but some fresh cut sunflowers. They even have a small posting zoo in the back that has a Emu.
Great place for sandwiches and a super shake and small zoo for kids with many animals.
Hit happy hour. Half priced apps. Bar far our cheapest meal on Key Largo. Not bad either and the service was top notch. Live bad was a bonus, guitar player looked just like ZZ Top.
Love this farm stand. Checked out the marlin houses, feed all my animal friends before the rain hit, and got a huge jackfruit for $1.95 a lb. Also a fresh cut soursop 1/2 for 15.00. Got a box of tamarind and it was from Thailand that was kinda sad. Wanted Florida fresh.
This is an EXPERIENCE. What a blast. I had only allotted maybe a half hour or 45 minutes of time to swing in here for a quick stop on our way to the Everglades but I think we stayed like an hour or more. Great selection of all sorts of fruits youve never heard of (or youve heard of but never tried; a huge section of jams, jellies, salsas, hot sauces, and honeys; milkshakes made fresh from all the fruits you see in the market; a playground for the kids; and a BUNCH of animals. Tons of birds, which I personally love looking at! And a rainbow eucalyptus tree!! What a treat that was for me, have wanted to see one for years. Definitely include this spot on your south florida/Everglades tour.
Fun stop to get a milkshake or cuban sandwich on the way into or out of the Everglades. Definitely worth the stop!
Great place and great location on the way to Everglades National Park, they have very large selection of locally grown fruits. He made an excellent smoothie and milkshake with fresh fruit.
We absolutely LOVE Robert Is Here! There are some things that you gladly make a staple to your day, week, routine or vacation. For us, that is Robert Is Here. You cannot find anything fresher or delicious. And everyone is so helpful and friendly. I recommend 1000%
Cozy place. The workers are friendly. The best are their milkshake of all flavors, the best Ive ever had, pure fruit. If you have young children or love farm animals, you can park your car and appreciate the farm they have. Super nice. The fruit they sell is organic, so it costs a little more than what you would find in a supermarket. To see the farm animals they do not charge, obviously you must buy even a milkshake.
Expensive, but worth stopping. This place is clean and the atmosphere is friendly. Loved the smoothie!
Fun place with unique fruits! No samples. Rather pricey, but still a fun stop! Extremely nice employees!
Amazing! Friendly staff, everything fresh. The salsa & guac were incredible!
This fruit stand is amazing!! The staff is soo kind. We did mango tasting and Robert was soo helpful and patient explaining us about different mangoes grown here - tried Florida red, valencia and kent and our favorite was Florida red :)
Home made shake was as-advertised. Tons of fresh Mangoes and some of the most unique honeys, sauces, dressings, jams, etc. The Mango Preserves are awesome
What a unique and fun experience. The fresh fruit and veggies are amazing. The milkshakes and smoothies are delicious and I really enjoyed the menagerie of animals and birds walking around.
Fun to see all the different fruit and products. Our party of five enjoyed five different flavors of milkshakes and smoothies. Thanks were fine. And pricey for this midwesterner.
Very good place for exotic fruits and their shakes and seen the legend Robert himself there. However, some employees are getting irritated by asking them a simple questions
My husband and I visited this fruit stand because we wanted fresh and local fruit! One of the workers confidently stated, multiple times, that “everything here is grown from our farm” and yet this was hard to believe. Pretty much every fruit we saw had stickers from other countries (Peru, Dominic republic, etc), they even had the brand Driscoll. I’m not sure why they would lie to us - probably thought we were tourists. PLEASE be honest. We would have invested in some fruit if this was an honest place. The only reason for three stars is because the aesthetic was really nice and it really was just this one male workers fault for his dishonesty.
Wow I loved the milkshake of mango and strawberry!!! It was wild!! Love the care of Robert, he was great!
Me and my wife took a day trip from our hotel in boca raton to key largo and stop at robert is here fruit stand on the way. Its an absolute fun place to go and to buy fresh produce from across the world. I had a coconut banana smoothie and bought some cut up mango. Both were very delicious.
An incredible assortment of produce, but most of it is not Florida grown. The grounds are very attractive, and the animals were fun to watch. Excellent smoothies!
The best smoothies ever. Got our hands on a couple pounds of Lychees also. Double win
I love it 100% recommended it is a nice place to pass a different afternoon, the juices are so good and the environment is amazing, fresh fruits and much more I recommend 100%
Awesome stop! Highly recommend. We ended up spending a few hours here and left with way too many great things. Smoothies, exotic fruites, animals and a story. (: We even came back a second time on our roadtrip back up.
Definitely worth a visit, super popular,. Shakes and Smothies are terrific. Large assortment of fruit and great little gifts. Friendly staff and we met Robert as a bonus.
Great smoothies, shakes, fruit and veggies! Neat to look at the animals while waiting for our smoothies.
As described, however you pay more for some produce than in the supermarkets. Smoothies and milkshakes excellent although pricey. Exotic fruits available, but again expensive. If youre not familiar with these and dont know what they taste like, youre not going to pay big bucks on the off chance you might like it. There should be a way of providing individual samples that comply with CDC guidelines for COVID-19 so you can buy intelligently. I love fresh produce but when the overheads of being in a supermarket dont apply and it costs more I feel taken advantage of.
I absolutely love this place, with such a variety of exotic fruits, combination sauces, spices and fresh juice stand. And the icing in the cake would be the farm animals and birds, making it a quiet relaxing place for us and entertaining for the kids. I would definitely visit this place again the next time Im in town.
The best fruit stand in Florida! So many options. Go out of your comfort zone and get something you’ve never heard of before. Loved seeing the picture of Robert and Obama when Obama stopped there. So neat!
Great fruits. And their smoothies are fantastic. Cute petting zoo at the back. I wish that everything wouldn’t only be so pricey
Love coming here. Wonderful selection of produce. Amazing shakes and smoothies. The honey selection is second to none. Its far but worth a visit at least several times per year.
A local landmark and completely essential to rounding out your South Florida experience. As a former local, this is still, hands down, the best fruit milkshake spot. An amazing selection of exotic honeys, most of which are local to Florida. And the barnyard of animals are good fun for the kiddos. Family fun, foodie souvenirs, and history. Cant beat it. And the stand and barnyard are wheelchair accessible.
We were overweight when buying fruits.. Watch out for what you pay! What a bad experience. Although there is a nice zoo with turtles, sheep, goats, ducks and even an ostrich
Love it.. everything delicious n fresh
They had sugarcane which was a delight after stopping at several other markets. Its whole so I had to cut it up myself and that was a pain. They really have a great variety of fruits jams and butters just a bit overpriced. Like soursop for $11a lb. The average size soursop is about 5 lbs.Thats gentrification to a gal like me that grew up with a soursop tree in her backyard 😒
A very nice farm for the entire family. The best shakes ever. Very cordial people. Robert is a people person.
Pretty cool. Fresh fruit. Friendly staff. Good food. Loved the shake.
A very unique local farm experience. The local produce sold there is very fresh and priced lower than the local big brand supermarket. You MUST have one of their milkshakes while there and they have an entire farm of animals that can be fed and petted. Would have given it 5 stars but the parking is very difficult and can be dangerous having to park on the side of the road if its busy.
The best smoothie Ive ever had! I recommend Mango, passion fruit and orange!
Possibly the best smoothie Ive ever had. Will be coming back next time Im in the area
Great place to stop for a milk shake, in a multitude of flavors. If you are lucky enough to be there in Decrmber through February, maybe March, you should definitely try the Black Sapote!😁Also a great place to purchase great tasting tropical fruits like Guanabana, Mamey Sapote, Black Sapote, Mangoes, Coconut, Dragon Fruit, and Ugli Fruit, just to mention a few. Many varieties of honey are also available. There is also a little farm animal zoo out back.Enjoy!
Great service and awesome fresh selections. Would not get the same quality anywhere else in South Florida. I’m going to try the weekend brisket one day. I heard it’s delicious
How adorable this place was it’s great for small kids and farmers market lovers everything looked amazing the price really was not that discounted or inexpensive I must say, however the quality in the presentations of the packaging and the products makes up for it it was a pleasant surprise for an unexpected stop and a great afternoon! They accept Apple Pay and the food was OK it wasn’t great but it was OK. They do have bathrooms but they are Porta potty’s and unfortunately not very clean.
What an incredible find! It’s so rare to see a family-operated endeavor like this nowadays, especially one with such a rich history. I got the key lime milkshake, which was delicious.
Good smoothies and milk shakes. It was fun feeding the animals.
A giant hype! There are a lot of cool fruit here, but they are 3x the price!! Such a rip off! They also trap so many animals and tropical birds here in dark cages. It is very sad!
This place is overrated and is smaller than youd expect. Smoothies are $7 to 8 dollars each, 2 mangos for $11, and $12 a pound for sugar apples?? Should be called a gift shop with all the overpriced stuff. The owner Robert interrupted while I was talking to one of his workers, then brushed the worker off? Later on, his cashiers had to apologize for him after he gave us some attitude at the register. Haha Im not coming back, the guy seems to have a little ego problem. Thanks
This place was so fun for a tropical fruit lover! I enjoyed the array of fruits they had. They were generous with samples of ripe mango and boiled peanuts. The smoothies were great—and the fresh pressed sugar cane juice was a real treat! The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Loved this fruit stand so much we went back a second day! Their produce selection has such a variety and great descriptions for things that we dont usually get to taste every day! Robert was very friendly and gave us a sample of the boiled peanuts. Yum!
Fun busy place with lots of variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Lots of homemade type preserves and dressings.
One of the must see places in Florida! Robert is usually there and is one of the friendliest most humble person youll meet, guarantee most kids will enjoy the animals and old tractors.
So many choices. We had a delicious smoothie, and a key lime tart. The mangos were ripe and sweet. A very necessary stop if you are headed this way.
This place is definitely worth a visit ❤️❤️🙂
We go out of way to come here. Robert has made this a special place for us.
Place was packed. Cuz the food and experience is soo nice.
Robert is Here is a place that has so many years giving the best to his customer. For South Florida is a legend... everyone has to stop by and just enjoy being there! The owner is always there welcoming everyone...They have the best of everything!
Going to Robert’s is sure an experience. Huge selection of exotic fresh fruits. The guacamole they sell is to die for, chunky and spicy. Shakes and smoothies are excellent. An absolute must-go if you’re traveling through Homestead and the Everglades !
Went here for milkshakes and fresh fruit. Fed the animals too!
Always amazing, its a must stop! Even during the virus they made a drive through which was genius. You MUST get a smoothie, never had a better one. Family run business.
We have been happily visiting Robert is Here for decades. I love the fact that Robert and his entire family is always there to greet you and help with any questions. The product that is sold here is always fresh and delicious. They always have fruit and veggies that are hard to find in regular stores. I never leave without buying something special, the always have huge, juicy limes and gorgeous red tomatoes. Some of my favorite things at Robert is here are their milkshakes, the spicy boiled peanuts are to die for, and their chips and fresh salsa, to name a few. We get our goodies and head down to the back to enjoy their sweet and loving animals. On the weekends, they usually have live music.
What a great experience. Lots of variety of jams, butters, fruits and many other great items. The people at the front counter especially the man that helped us was super duper friendly his name was Robert Jr. So glad we stopped. We got to test taste some mango that was the best mango I have ever eaten. Makes me want to move to Florida. I might just buy a property right next door to them.
Loved it there. My son had a great time w all the tractors
One of the most fun times I ever had In Florida. Feeding all the animals was amazing and all their goods and fruits are perfect.
We were in your beautiful Florida tour. Before coming this city our friends told us about this shop so we decided to visit. This shop is really full of lots of different kinds of fresh fruits, some vegetables, Pickles, honey & so on. We walked through the entire shop. We ordered a mango smoothie. That was so awesome & fresh. We also bought fresh papaya, banana, mango & star fruit. If you ask them, they will cut the fruit instantly. The staffs are also very nice & helpful. It is highly recommended to taste their fruit. We will love to visit again during our Florida tour.
If youre going to the keys or leaving keys this is a must STOP. This is what fresh market or Whole Foods could have been. Yes bring the kids theres a petting zoo if you never seen a 75 lb Turtle they got a dozen roaming around
Large fruit stand with an animal petting zoo, lots of fruits and packaged goods (hot sauces, jellies, etc), sandwiches and a smoothie bar. Music on weekends. Bit touristy and priced as such but a fun stop
So glad we stopped in. I had no idea they had this whole petting zoo out back. We got a key lime and strawberry smoothly. It was so good that on our way back out of the Everglades we stopped and got another one. Lots of cool fruit and salsas, well worth the stop.
I love coming here. Their smoothies are to die for.
The milkshakes really live up to their expectation! Soooo good!!! Amazing selection of flavors, every fruit you can think of! The staff is helpful and informative when shopping. The assortment of honey is the best around. The back with the animals is fun for the kids and the various photo ops are super cute. It’s a nice place to swing by with the family. Some of the basic produce is a little on the expensive side compared to other farmers markets so I definitely only get the rarities here but it is a South Dade staple for sure!
Smoothies and shakes made from fresh fruit. Delicious!!! They also have the best homemade OJ!! This place has something for everyone. Along with a small petting zoo/ animal feeding.
The location was great to stop at post Everglades tour, however the line for the smoothies were not worth the wait. Post ordering we stood around for 40 minutes waiting on our smoothies to be brought out. The shop has excellent fresh produce and great preserves just wouldnt wait for the smoothies.
A fun place to take the kids to visit and see animals and birds. The place has variety local fruit, vegetables and other food items.
Beautiful place but everything was overpriced for no reason at all. Good thing about it, no taxes 🙃
If you dont know about Robert is Here. Stay away! I want it to myself! Best milkshakes in town. Loads of fresh fruit and hundreds, literally hundreds, of flavors of honey. My son loves the little petting zoo in the back Where you can feed goats, cows, tortoise, chickens and ducks.
This place is a must stop. They got a little farm in the back, and the smoothies are some of the freshest and best ive ever had. and ive had a few in my life!
