I have the fondest memories of Fannie May, growing up in and around Chicago. Other than the awnings needed repair, this shop still looks and feels exactly the same (said in the fondest way). The chocolates are so yummy and the service has somehow gotten better. The lovely young lady that waited on me was so nice and had even remembered me from my last visit (about a month prior). Just perfect

I normally make my purchases around the holidays for 🎁 gifts. For the most part, the people are professional. However, if you are lucky you may encounter with someone that will take the time to make sure your order is perfect. Everyone is not so attentive.

Normally a nice place, but my experience this Valentines Day holiday was not good. Their process for controlling the number of customers inside the store was not good. Some customers had to wait over 30 minutes after they were incorrectly told they were on the list that was used.

Always a special treat for our family when we are in the area! Best ice cream around and service is always friendly and fast.

Fannie Mays is an always a must visit when were in my wifes hometown. Having to make a trip for unfortunate reasons during the pandemic, this was one of the few joys we could have. Only disappointment was that they stopped making Peppermint Ice.

Always the place for a sweet treat to spoil yourself or someone special. They give out coupons for upcoming visits!😋

Service was good, not busy. Prices were high (as expected) but not outside of treats range. I remember there being more of a selection in years gone by.

It was nice for Holidays boxes, but was not able to get personal small boxs. They ky due for Weddings. That I was very disappointed 😞

1 - I am a long time customer. When my wife of 33yrs has a sweet tooth that needs satisfying - this is where I go, and only once has she ever complained ( I didnt bring enough 😆 ) .2 - Not one single solitary time was I ever made to feel that my business was not desired.3 - not one location that Ive visited ever struck me as a place I would not return to - the workers consistently behave like unsung heroes...which I find rare in these current times.

Maria is the absolute best! Shes been there seems like forever at least the last 10-12 years. And whats so wonderful about that is she has never changed. She has a warm welcoming smile for every customer young or mature who walks though those doors. She doesnt become overwhelmed or agitated when theres a rush of people. She is the sole reason my family and I travel to Fannie Mae in Homewood. Yes, the chocolates and fudge are awesome but when youre treated well you never forget that type of customer service.

Fantastic Products and Great Service! I was born in Homewood, and though my parents moved us to two other States, this remained the family favorite due to the excellent quality and tremendous assortment. My Great Grandparents, Grandparents and now my Parents, all reside in a nearby cemetary. We live over 350 miles to the north, and drive down to tend the graves twice a year, making sure to stop here at the Homewood store for candy every time. Their staff are always friendly and helpful. Since we no longer have stores near us (I would love to open one) we call in our custom orders to this store at Christmas, etc., so we can get a mix of our favorites, and then pay a fee to get them shipped, as we dont gift things that are readily available anymore. We were surprised to find a box of their Colonial Assortments in our local Target, just for Valentines day, but it doesnt measure up to custom ordering, as it doesnt have their superb lemon creams. Butter creams, lemon creams and raspberry creams have the best flavor and silky quality. I hope this store never closes. Its in a nice, safe shopping area, with a grocery store that has such a great assortment of flowers and lawn piercing grave vases, that we no longer bring flowers from anywhere else.

I never thought I would be racially discriminated for buying chocolates they are 2 women here making me wait 45 mins and they have serviced all white people before us the nerve.

Was a little frustrated that I bought several candies and they wouldnt give me enough boxes and I was told I need to call and order more boxes even though I was already at the store. Thats poor customer service.

Back in the day, Fannie May candies were the business. Cant remember holidays without running into a box of chocolates or hard candies. Ive only been once since they reopened some years ago. This store had candies on display, like they used to, just not as many. I love almond bark and bought some. The employee went under the cabinet to get it. Two pieces were close to 10 dollars. When I finally went to eat some...it did not resemble the ones on display, nor did it contain over3 almonds, and it looked like it had been dusted with cocoa powder. It didnt even have the textured tree bark like top surface. What happened to the REAL Fannie May?
