Great, quiet atmosphere with surprising amount of seating for a small house (2 floors and ample outdoor seating). Drive through available. Pricing is pretty good for a coffee shop.

Cool, hipster vibe interior and exterior. House made into a coffee shop. Plenty of indoor seating if you choose to sit / study inside, or a back patio for outside seating. The cool thing is they even created a drive thru window to compete with other big branded coffee shops!

My wife and I came here for the first time on Sunday morning. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. The staff was kind. I got the mocha latte—one of the best I’ve had in Birmingham. My wife got the iced chai tea latte, and she loved it. There’s plenty of seating inside and out back. We will definitely be coming back.

A tall curly haired boy approached my service dog and I and insisted we could not be inside. When I expressed he was a service dog and is legally allowed by the government to go anywhere with me, he said he doesn’t make the rules and then walked away and proceeded to make fun of me. This is the absolute last time I will patron this business. That boy should be fired for his ignorance and literally mocking me behind my back.

Friendly and swift service. Nice ambiance inside. The draft latte cold drink was a very tasty espresso cold coffee served from a draft.

This place is extremely cute! It has an awesome chill vibe, and the drinks were great too. The cortado was good with the espresso coming through as understated, but enjoyable. They also have a smooth draft latte that tastes like a dream! It was strange to see a latte come on tap, but definitely something worth trying. Really the only qualm I had was a lack of available seating, but I guess that just means its popular!

I would honestly avoid caveat at all costs. They always always have a line due to slow service. Today, I placed an online order for a gift card for a friend and some coffees. It took them 35 minutes to get our order to us from the time it was placed. They had an issue with the gift card and the girl who was helping us was rude and condescending. Coffee is okay at best. Take your business elsewhere. I always regret trying to order here but today sealed the deal.

Coffee is good and staff is nice and friendly. Cool furniture and a big sofa to lie down on! Plenty of plugs for laptop.

If you want some horrible coffee please stop here. It seemed busy the day I stopped in but I have never dumped a cup out so fast. The locals will keep this one open. Everyone else run to another place. Again my own opinion not everyones.

Caveat has great coffee. The outdoor seating is really nice. The indoor seating is also nice, but Im not about that right now. The staff is friendly and quick. When I was there last, there was only one barista working both the counter and drive through. He was fast, friendly and the coffee was great.

Love the atmosphere! Upper and lower floors, and outdoor porch, a soft chairs in the back yard. Lots of seating and the WiFi was good. Parking is limited, but other than that 5/5!

You won’t find a better atmosphere around when it comes to a coffee shop. The cold brew is quality, the espresso is on point, and the draft latte is definitely something you’ll drive across town for. Every single worker there is incredibly friendly, and more than willing to help if you have any questions about the menu. It’s just consistently a great experience.

It was kind of on the pricier side but so absolutely worth it. Im a complicated coffee person with no shame and there was no flinching or confusion when I rattled off what I wanted and didnt want in my coffee. All told it was actually a really reasonable price for really excellently made coffee I think and it came quickly and perfectly done. 10/10 would visit again.

One of my favorite coffee shops in the area. Everything that I have had (coffee wise) has been over the moon in taste and quality. They have a limited number of espresso options which is fine noting that their espresso is excellent. It is strong with limited bitterness. It is one of the few coffee shops where I can order a shot of espresso and be satisfied. My favorite drinks are the draft vanilla latte and the macchiato. 10/10 definitely recommend. From the times I have been they do not have any food besides pastries from local places or granola bars, which honestly is fine, but new additions would be cool. The atmosphere is perfect for catching up with friends or dedicating study time. Did I mention the aesthetic is perfect?

This place is super convenient, and the guy I dealt with was very nice! I love that the coffee is reasonably priced, but actually tastes richer and less burnt than Starbucks. Used the drive thru and immediately had a window open to a smiling face. I wasn’t expecting it and will be back!

Used to be really good best coffee less expensive than ohenrys but recently for two days Ive been there the coffee is losing its flavor now its starting to to taste like Starbucks too much sugar and not enough coffee. Please get the delicious flavor back

One of my favorite coffee spots in Birmingham. The people are delightful, coffee is fantastic (La Colombe), and the space is so unique and calming. Its always my go-to for a lets grab a coffee meeting.

This place is a hidden gem. They have one of the best coffee menus in town and I love the layout of the shop. When the weather is nice, their back deck is an incredible place to be productive or simple read the book you’ve been procrastinating for months.

Although I am not from here. I always make a point to find local coffee shops wherever I go. And boy was I glad we found Caveat. One of the best cappuccinos Ive ever had. Super cute inside with plenty of seating. Its definitely a hidden gem out away from a lot of other businesses, but it would be a great place to go and get some work done with a coffee. I will definitely be back here if Im ever in the area again.

I love this hidden gem. Wonderful location with an upstairs, downstairs, and fenced in patio seating area allowing me to bring the kiddos too. Also nice for studying with plenty of comfy seating options or available space for large groups Best true cappuccino Ive had in a while with delicious rice or oat milk, since Im lactose intolerant. I had an amazing americano and the male barista with fun colored hair helped me create an awesome drink for my wife.The environment was very good to get work done. Noise level was very minimal even with a full shop.

Its hard to believe that Caveat has only been open for less than a month - it was packed on a Sunday afternoon.They serve beans roasted by La Colombe, the interior has a decent amount of seats, and they have a drive through window on the side.Outside, they have built a sweet patio area with seating on a deck and a lawn area.

First time here and fell in love! It has a quiet atmosphere and the music is not disturbing - which is really important for a remote working. Really fun environment and they have an adorable porch. I spilt my coffee on the way out and one of the girls immediately made me a new one and helped me clean up. Customer service was amazing - made my day. Get their Iced Draft Latte. Cant wait to go back!

My favorite coffee shop in Birmingham currently. Interior has plenty of seating and they have a drive-thru. Seasonal coffees are always on point for black coffee drinkers like myself, and their espresso drinks are also really good!

The coffee/espresso was excellent. Plenty of space to spread out and meet or work on your laptop. But...bring snacks if youre hungry, no food here.

A stink bug the size of a half dollar swooped down from the bannisters of the ceiling on 11.22.19 onto my left shoulder as i was consuming a latte, innocently in the light of day. The coffee is fine, but if i could recommend a bug service to you all as this was a scary event.

House latte with cold brew coffee AKA black and tan was great. It was different than any drink in town. Atmosphere is stand alone and possibly just became my new go to spot.

La Colombe coffee pairs well with the upstairs busy, the downstairs quiet, and the outdoor patio.

Nice ambience. Their coffee is very good and batch brew is a very good price. $2 for a cup, $2.50 for a large cup. They have several types of nitro brew coffee. This feels like a a genuine local coffee house. Much more peasant than other busy shops. I look forward to returning later.

I was so excited to try a new coffee shop but unfortunately this time I was disappointed. Theres no parking an I had to walk a good distance to get here. It was packed full so I was disappointed go find out I walked all that way to grab my coffee and go because there was no where to sit on a Friday morning at 10am. They only have three syrup flavors; chocolate, vanilla and simple syrup. They dont have almond milk and substituted for macadamia milk which I was fine with. However, I ordered an iced macchiato with chocolate and macadamia milk and got a $7 cup that equates to 10 sip of hot espresso. When its 96° and Im walking several blocks back to my car the iced coffee I ordered would have been a much better option. I took one sip of my coffee to see the quality of the coffee and it was a tad bitter. I set it in my cup holder and walked two more blocks to my regular coffee shop.

The draft lattes are amazingly creamy and highly recommended. The staff have always been quick and friendly.

Pretty decent coffee shop. The space is really nice and I can imagine enjoying hanging out here. I was just getting coffee before a hike so I didnt get to do that. The cold brew was incredibly weak and is not recommended. It tastes like someones idea of iced coffee. The black and tan was fine (it being half made of that cold brew definitely hurt it) but I later learned its not unique to hear but a Le Colombe invention so makes it less impressive. They do an ok job with their espresso drinks - just avoid the cold coffee it seems.
