Im a bit surprised by the negative review. I live in Opelika and spoke with Sandra on the phone. She was super helpful and walked me through getting the exact shade I need for an antique floor lamp. Nice folks. Got what I want. Good price. What more could you ask?

Ive taken valuable family lamps for rewiring to Palmers. They have done excellent work and always been courteous and knowledgeable. I have another lamp there now.

Mr Palmer is one of the most professional people I know. Extremely helpful and quite charming. A delight to do business with anytime.

I took a lamp to this store and he was so rude! The lady knows nothing and when she called him from the back area he walks up like I am bothering him. He said my lamp was garbage and could not be fixed and I cant do nothing with these thing were his exact words. I took it too another lamp store and they were able to fix it. Said they have customers a lot come to them after he insults everyone. There is no customer service there. I will never go back and tell my friends and family the same. I really dont know how this place stays in business. RATING * VERY BAD!!!!

I had a very bad experience with Palmer Lamps in Homewood. He was very nasty and rude to me to the point of disbelief. I returned to the shop about a week after picking up a lamp he rewired. I had called earlier and told them that my lamp had been cut off at the top and it now had a crack in it. He and the others in the shop refused to look at it and accused me of trying to get something out of him. He told me that he measured the lamp when I brought it in; but when I asked him to let me see my ticket with the measurement on it, he refused and said he threw it away.He told me to get out of his shop with the piece of trash not worth $50 or he would call the police. When I initially took the lamp to him, He and the lady in the shop told me what a beautiful antique I had and could probably get $125 for it. I told him it meant a lot to me and I didnt want to sell it. Now he tells me that I have a worthless piece of trash and hes not doing anything about the damage his shop caused?
