I found some great deals today in Hondo. Walmart is competing with Prime Days with Amazon so Walmart was on point. Pleasantly surprised! Charcoal grill, vegetable plants and herbs were the purchases I made.

We have a long bed dually and parking it in public places can be challenging. This Walmart is the first place weve been able to park in easily as the lanes are long enough and wide enough. This store has become our go to while were out here in the area. It is well stocked and organized with a great variety of groceries and other items. There is an optometry store inside and they will do complimentary adjustments on your glasses.

The cashier Brandi wasnt friendly just to the people in front of me and behind me I guess I was the wrong race 🤔😡

Love the new way to return items. If it was purchased on your card u can scan it and it goes back on there, that way if u loose receipt u still have proof of purchase!!!

Pretty normal small town Walmart. Not great customer service but I cant say thats abnormal and I also cant say I blame them. Walmart should pay better and provide better benefits to its Employees. Costco sets a great example for this. I usually do everything I can to avoid Walmart for this reason but I couldnt avoid it this time.

I bought a bike for me. Got the extended warranty. When i tried to register it the warranty was on the helmet. I had to go back in and fix it. The front gears on the bike wont go to the smallest sprocket so i have to bring the bike back to see what the problem is. The guy that put the bike together is super nice. Everyone has been nice. I just wish it all was done right so i dont have to keep driving back over there.

This Walmart is definitely better than many Ive been to and their grocery selection and prices are better than HEB.

Behind on times, staff will not help you at all, never a handicap scooter no where have to wait on one Everytime, not enough scooters, poor management.

I dont know what theyre doing. Theyre discontinuing so many things the shelves are getting empty. It looks like theyre going out of business. The Walmart in Castroville is a lot better

They seem to be running very low on camping gear and their fishing rods are all over the place. Its hard to determine prices on fishing poles.

Tried their chiken tenders early in the morning so good when they are fresh. And not pricey

Was at the paint department waiting and waiting. No one helped me. I asked 2 workers and still no one came to help me. Other workers walked by and didnt even ask if I needed help. The Walmart in Castroville is way better and friendlier. Way cleaner!

Not the most upmarket Walmart, but.the people are nice and the store has a surprising number of items that are not available at the nearby HEB store.

As always, they never have any cashiers available except for self check out. However, our cashier Nick was very nice and sociable and thats always nice to have

I am sick of being stopped so a person can check my sales receipt. It insults me !!!!! I am nearly 80 years old and have other Walmart stores and have not been so unhappy. Is this necessary?

Not much to say except it’s a Walmart super center…if you’ve been in one, then you know what it’s like. If you haven’t, they have anything you might need…the store brand stuff is hit and miss in regards quality. Some of its good enough, other stuff, not so much.

I like it because its my home town and my grandson work there and he like it.and the works are very nice .Amfrom Corpus Christi Tex.but l come to see my family and friends.

My sons wedding is in July I went to Walmart to get a dress i had to pick a dress I didnt like cause they had no other dresses that were nice the have dresses for real old ladies not for middle age and when you need help no one is around they need to stock up on nice things that people want thank you for yalls time good day

We went for lunch my parents, sister and her family. We a great lunch and great service! I had not been there but maybe 2x before. Always been great. Im just not a person that whats out often.

Hondo is easy in and easy out. One stop light and one main rd so if dont like the maze of bigger citys this is the place.

Friendly staff greeting and leaving everyone was wearing a mask good after all this going on keep your spirits up hopefully this will be over soon

Its the normal shopping store experience, the staff is usually helpful and it is easy to find what you need.

They dont carry all the items I like but enough for a stop.RV parking limited to the outer ring. Mostly semis.But the main highway intersection from 173 needs to be standardized. Very confusing.

Hard to find things. This store caters to the hispanic population. I often have to drive to Castroville or Uvalde to get what I need. Much of the fresh produce is second rate at best. Theres only one other grocery store in town (HEB) which has much better produce. For being the county seat of Medina County, it is a sad situation that you have to leave town in order to do one stop shopping. As a senior at high risk for the virus, I try to shop early. Thats a big mistake. At 7:45a last Saturday, there wasnt a single checker available at Walmart. I was expected to self check out almost $150 of groceries. I went to customer service and asked for a checker.

They were low on essentials due to the winter storms we have been having. But was very helpful with the items we were able to get.

Cant find anything. Continually moving stuff around and more than half the time empty shelves. Cant depend on finding the same items from week to week. Poorly managed. If I had a choice I wouldnt shop there. I like Walmart, just not this one.

The store itself is okay but the staff is horrible ! Manager was very disrespectful ! I asked him a question and he walked away without me finishing my sentence! I believe his name is kevin. I feel bad for the employees that work for him . If you have the gas just make the trip to HEB.

The items here are always in the wrong place and theres rarely a Walmart employee to help u find what u need. With covid-19 out of control...I want to be able to go, find what I need n get out of the building! Castroville Walmart employees are everywhere, with masks to help u get in m get out! They could really Teach Hondo Walmart a lot of things!

Great people making the best out of a bad situation to keep the public safe, while carrying out the fulfillment of lifes necessities. One employee, Louis, who is an assistant manager at the walmart in Hondo, TX. Has proven to me at least, to be very knowledgeable about the products being sold, and a willingness to go above and beyond the duties listed in his job description to ensure that every customer has any and every question answered and every issue solved in a satisfactory conclusion. He is a true asset to the company.

I get the covid deal but do you really think having only one entrance and exit really helps? So we have to park all the way on the other side to get bottle necked into one way in. And right side exit left side entrance?
