Omg what a most excellent afternoon we had at Jared. Miss Nichole was amazing. My Bff got engaged and we went to look at rings.. we eneded up gettin all she needed on the first go!! Who does that!? My fiancé and I worked with Jared for about a year, in short - the people working there are kind and helpful but the workmanship of their jewelry is just not quality.The center stone on my engagement ring was coming loose every 2-3 weeks and Jared would “fix it” only to have it come lose again and again, but they reassured me that although I could physically see the center stone moving - it was safe. So I took my ring to another jeweler who told me that only 2 of the 4 prongs were even TOUCHING the center diamond, and that it was extremely unsafe to wear without getting it fixed, and that the work that had been on the ring was poorly done. I got a 2nd opinion from another reputable jeweler and they said the same thing.In the end, we cut ties with Jared and asked for a portion of the ring cost back due to such poor work done on the ring. We have since been at Steeds Jewelry in Vestavia, and they have helped to fix all the problems Jared created!Again, the people there every time were so kind, nothing against Buffy, Andrea, etc because they truly tried to help us, but the actual workmanship on my ring was awful. Save your money and head to a different jeweler!

I cannot say enough good things about this location. My husband and I had a 2 star (at best) experience at the Montgomery store. I came to the Hoover store with the intention of simply returning the item that was purchased at the Mtgy store and getting a refund. But when I arrived, Austin and Buffy were so understanding, helpful and friendly that I ended up exchanging the piece for 2 other awesome pieces of jewelry. I highly recommend that you make the extra drive to this store. You wont be sorry. The staff is better and the inventory is better.

I got my fiances engagement ring here. It took quite a while to finally get it sorted out. They surprised me with extra warranty costs. They wouldnt fix it 2 months ago or do the mandatory inspection and rhodium service due to covid. ... The wedding is very soon... They wouldnt answer the phone until she got to a district manager. Then when we show, I get jumped over for a visor vs mask. The mask caused an eye infection for two weeks. It will be diamonds direct in the future. If she doesnt have the ring back by the wedding, I will not tolerate it.

The lady who answered today was super rude; arrogant and told us “we will be very busy”. When I asked her about getting three rings resized. Then I talked to the assistant manger, a male; he said “I didn’t hear the conversation of her being rude so”. I said, what?! So I’m other words, her being rude never happened.. no apology.. nothing.: in fact, they act like they don’t want customers. Poor disrespectful staff.. and very poor management.. . Go to Pensacola Jewelers, they size quickly and do it without any flaws. They are experts with not messing up the diamond setting. Jared’s is a nasty experience and they have messed up rings according to their own reviews.

Do NOT purchase from Jareds post-covid. Their employee says their policies have changed by 90%. I drove 3 hours to get my semi annual inspection and they would not help. Said that they could not get to me the following day either because they no longer do inspections on Saturday. You now have to call for an appointment, I called and no one answered, the employee told me that they are busy and will not stop what they are doing to answer the phone.

If I could, I would give zero stars. Dont waste your time here. Please do yourself a favor and just go somewhere else. The store manager here, Lynn, is awful to customers. My fiancé and I ordered my wedding bands over a month in advance and were PROMISED that they would arrive on time. It is now 6 days after the promised delivery date and still no rings (5 days before the wedding). My fiancé just waited over 4 hours to pick up the rings today because Lynn said they would be in transit. After having to beg to receive the tracking number for MY rings, it is clear that she lied about the delivery time and wasted our time. When I called her to talk, she put the blame on anyone and everyone but herself when in fact she simply over promised to make a sale (and probably a commission). Please please go somewhere else if you are shopping for anything that you will value. Lynn doesnt care about you and she will belittle you and your concerns as a customer. Dont waste your time here.

I recently lost the center stone in my wedding ring I have had for almost 30 years. It was very upsetting because it had more sentimental value than $$ value. My husband decided to replace my set and we bought it at another store where we asked if they would include an appraisal. The sales lady said they would during the sales process but when we picked the ring up it was not an appraisal but a certificate not accepted by my insurance co and she then stated they did not do appraisals & referred me to Jared if I wanted to get an appraisal. When I walked in at Jared the salesman greeted me and I told him what happened. They were willing to have their appraiser (who comes in once a month) do the appraisal for me even though I had not purchased the ring there. During the discussion I found the exact same setting but with a certified diamond rather than the one I had purchased at the other store. Much prettier diamond. I ended up buying the set from Jared, having it sized the same day, getting an appraisal and certified diamond all while saving $500 off the price I had already paid at the other store. I returned the other ring and am very happy with my Jared purchase, will definitely be a loyal customer from now on.

We brought my engagement ring in for sizing. We did not purchase the ring at Jared but needed it sized because it was purchased at an out of town jeweler. We were very happy with the sizing, it was perfect, the cost was very reasonable and it was ready right when we were told it would be. We were a little disappointed on how the associate that met us at the door spoke to us. When she realized what we wanted we felt as if she talked down to us and was rude. Very sternly she asked why we didnt get the ring sized where it was purchased. We felt as if that was none of her business and didnt appreciate how she spoke to us. The lady that helped us when we came to pick it up was incredible. Her name was Angie and she was very sweet, friendly, and helpful. We asked to look at men’s wedding bands and she showed us some beautiful rings. We have decided not to purchase the ring at Jared for fear we will have to work with the first assicaite that we didn’t care for at all.

Myself and my fiance had a terrible experience buying his engagement ring. When we first purchased the ring, we noticed deep scratches on one side, which the staff had fixed for us. Following that, we decided the ring needed to be sized, so again went to have that done. When the ring was back from being sized, we got it home and discovered that the inner portion of the ring was badly warped and ruined.When we went back to handle this issue, we were scolded for not bringing it to their attention sooner. We requested a duplicate ring be sent to replace the one they mangled, and were told that it would be overnighted to the store. About 5 days later, the ring finally arrived and we went to pick it up. Staff were again abrupt, rude, and dismissive. We felt rushed to go away and disrespected.In compensation for our time and their repeated mistakes, we were given a coupon for an offer which is currently posted to their website. The coupon requires the holder to spend $300 on LeVian pieces to get $100 off. To say we have no further plans of purchasing from Jared would be an understatement.I see that many others have had a much more positive experience, and I am glad thats the case. My intention is not to drag any one person down, but rather to convey our individual experience that it may benefit others.

Taking back all my stars that I gave them! This place has changed for the worst! They have new employees and a new manager that is not at all friendly!We took some pieces in to get new batteries and a ring that the stone came out of. It is going on a month and we had not hear back about the watches. So I called today to check on them and The Manager tells if I havent had a call from them then they are not ready. I asked could you check to make sure they havent.Im the manager I check everything in and I havent checked any watches in, in several weeks!! Rudely towards me! Her whole attitude was harsh even the way she answered the phone. You know she could have easily said let me double check on it to make sure. But no she didnt even offer! I know when we do get our stuff back we will be paying off our account and N.E.V.E.R. shop with Jareds again! That use to be a good store to shop at. As you can see I praised them the last time. This time I take my stars back and wouldnt tell anyone to shop there!*This was my original review a few years ago. I stopped by Jared because I had lost a stone out of my wedding band. Nichole was my associate and she was absolutely fabulous! My bridal set had not been purchased at Jared, but that didn’t matter. She was so friendly and professional. She quoted me prices for replacing my stone, setting and tightening all the other stones, and a dip to brighten the white gold. I was able to drop off my ring around 2:30 on a Friday and pick it up at 6:00 and it looked like it did when I received it 5 years ago. I will definitely recommend Jared!

We went to Jared today to purchase a gift for my 16year old daughter. My husband and I decided on a Pandora bracelet gift set and purchased additional charms for the set. The gift set included several charms and earrings. When we went to check out, the manager could not get the promotional price correct and gave several prices that didn’t match what we were purchasing. Finally, she said that the reason the price was different is because the earrings were not included in the set. They showed me a Pandora catalog that had the earrings included and tried to convince me that they were not. The manager then made a huge (fake) show of yelling to the other associates to remove the earrings that “aren’t included” in the gift set from the promotional displays on the floor. At this point out of frustration I paid for my purchase and left. Once I got home, I called several places and Pandora themselves who confirmed the earrings are included in the set. I returned to the store and low and behold, the same promotional display had the earrings included again, despite the manager fake yelling at her associates....Because the manager knew they were included and lied to me. She charged me the full price but did not provide what I paid for. I called her out on it and returned my purchase. I then got the exact same set, with earrings, $70 cheaper at Reeds Jewelry. I will NEVER shop at Jared’s again. Ever. I only gave a star because I had to.

They did everything they could to meet my needs, but as in any free market, sometimes someone just does a better job. If you are looking for a ring, I would add Jared to your must-visit list and give them a chance. You will have a better experience here than most places in Birmingham.

Bought a Pandora ring for my son’s girlfriend at Christmas. Had to order online at the last minute and was able to pick it up within a couple of days. He was happy and she was happy. Only drawback was that they do not touch Pandora jewelry as far as maintenance and the box they gave us would not hold the ring in place. Minor drawbacks.

It was such a GREAT experience!! My husband and I were able to attend the Le Vian showcase and see all the beautifully crafted pieces they create! What a joke, DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!. The amount of ignorance and incompetence from the person I worked with was rediculous. The whole experience of buying a ring for my fiancee was absolutely awful. Told the salesman that the only way to contact me was via email because of bad service at my house and I was told he made a note of it to ensure that I would be emailed when the custom ordered ring arrived. Outcome was that they tried to call my phone 1 time and that was it. They allowed my ring to sit there waiting for over a month and never emailed me. On top of that I had tried to go in once to make a payment while waiting for the ring to arrive (not knowing it was there already) and was told I couldnt make a payment as well as no one could give me any updates or info on the ring because the sales person I worked with wasnt there..... when I finally go back again to complain that we are past the time it was supposed to take to get the ring and that no one has emailed me, they tell me my ring had been there almost 2 months. I begin to voice my disappointment with them and how they have ruined this once in a lifetime experience for me and the manager asks what can we do to make this right? I respond to her with what are you able to do to make this right? Because this is 100% unacceptable the manager just sits there and doesnt say a word as if I didnt just ask what she could do to make this right. I will never return to a Jared anywhere to purchase anything and will ensure that I pass this story along to everyone I know in hopes of saving them from this greif. Maybe someone in corporate will actually read this and try to make this right because this located did nothing to right their wrongs and mistakes. And on top of all of this, 1 day after receiving the ring and giving it to my fiancee there is already 1 of the small diamonds that has fallen out and because of my experience their I dont even want to go back in to try and use the warranty. Spend over $6000 for no real service and a ring that falls apart after a day.* UPDATE* after posting this the corporate got involved and seemed to be the only people trying to make this situation right. They have done a few things to make the over all experience not as bad as it was. At least they have a decent corporate headquarters. Thank you.

We have always been loyal customers to jared’s at multiple locations but am very disappointed with this location. My husband bought earrings for me as a present and when he gifted them to me the back of one earring would not stay on. I called and was told they would definitely take care of it. He brought them back to get fixed and had to pay for it which is ridiculous because I just got them. Yes it was past 30 days but it was a present. It would have been different if it was 6 months later. Well he paid to get it fixed and it still unwinds off. The quality of the product and service is not good even when a lot of money is spent.

My husband and I had a very pleasant at Jared The Galleria of Jewelry at 3460 Riverchase Galleria, Hoover, AL. My engagement ring had two loose stones, so we stopped by there to have it repaired.We were met at the door by Jeff Gibb who was very friendly and professional. He looked at my ring and said they could fix it within two hours (other jewelers wanted to send it away for a week or two). I left it with Mr. Gibb.Meanwhile, we looked at anniversary rings which Mr. Gibb showed to us. He found out what we were looking for and showed us several examples. We were just looking so did not purchase one at this time; however, when we do decide to purchase it, it will definitely be at Jared with Mr. Gibb as our salesperson! He is so pleasant, it makes you want to purchase anything!!I picked up my ring after two hours - it was waiting and ready.

I had the displeasure of working with Assistant Manager Tonja Biggs. After visiting the store to simply have my rings cleaned I was scolded by Tonja for “not having had my rings inspected in over a year.” This could not be further from the truth. Not only was my inspection up-to-date, but I know several of the other workers there who have inspected my rings and could vouch for this . After informing her of this, she repeatedly tried to tell me that I had only come in to have my rings cleaned previously and that they were never inspected. There was clearly some type of mixup in the system that was not showing updated information. I understand glitches and mistakes happen but it was her unprofessional and condescending attitude that made me upset the most. I know she is new to the job, but the rude behavior was uncalled for. Thankfully, I was able to speak with the manager. She cared and was able fix the issue. The other staff is nice but this bad experience turned me off. I hope corporate reads this and provides her with additional training. We had purchased a total of three rings and are very happy with the quality. Sadly, the experience with her will be the reason that we never make another purchase here.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Who would have thought adding a couple of stones to an engagement band would prove to be so difficult, especially after we were told it would be no problem. After 4 weeks of misleading information the ring comes back completely reshaped, triangular spaces turned round with tiny round sapphires and filled in. Very disappointed with the results. Going to try to find a competent jewler that can fix this mess.

I purchased a $500.00 bracelet from Jared in Greenville, SC that was defective. After being give recycled bracelets for months, I stopped in the Hoover, AL store for assistance. The manager there was OUTSTANDING, corrected the situation even though the piece was not purchased there. I can tell by the secure clasp on this latest piece that I had been given recycled pieces in Greenville, SC. I drive from Greenville, SC to Atlanta to have my car serviced as a result of a similar experience. Now I will be traveling to Hoover, AL for my jewelry purchases. Bought a ring and the stone fell out 2x with in 5 months. The second time they decided to replace my ring instead and when I picked it up it was replaced my ring with a ring that had a fake stone (took it 2 other stores to get it checked). I take it back and they replace it with a real stone again. The very first day I decide to wear it that stone falls out. Now its been 7 months (1 month was waiting on them to get me a new ring because my other one wouldnt hold the stone) we can not get an exchange or a refund so now its being reset and will probably never stay in so I have a ring I cant wear and out a lot of money.
