I enjoy the experience of shopping at the Hoover Cycle Gear. I just bought F and R tires for my bike. My bike is a BMW with a single side swing are on the rear with a five lug bolt up of the wheel to the drive, similar to a car wheel. The resulted in them not being able to balance the tire, which is a disappointment. I had to make a home-made balancer and do it myself. I think the corporate should make sure all locations have the necessary adapters for these wheels. The staff was extremely nice and apologetic and gave a discount. I will continue to shop there.

The staff was more than helpful in assisting us with our decisions on jackets. They were unable to find a helmet that suited our needs but I’m fairly certain it was due to shopping issues at the time. Very friendly, very accommodating. Highly recommend

My purchase was done over the phone! Since the store is more than 50 miles from my house, I handle many of my purchases with them that way. They are always so helpful on the phone and provide all the information I need. I cuts down on my trips to Hoover. They are always very helpful

Salesman searched “helmet banc” until found a Bilt helmet that fit and was colored so that I wouldn’t be distracted wearing it. Felt good on the ride home. Thanks for the much-needed assistance!!!

Glad we have a store like Cycle Gear in Hoover, it’s convenient, the staff are always good about helping and they have a lot of the top name products that I use for my Goldwing. So much easier taking my wheels to them to replace tires than to have a motorcycle shop keep my bike for a week just to change a tire. I go to them first for most all my motorcycle needs.

This is my go to Shop for my Sons bike supplies. Great inventory and Awesome staff they will go out of their way to help you and make sure your ready and safe for the Street or Trail.

I like this store, they had exactly what I was looking for, but when Cameron started to check me out the items I was purchasing rang up $2 more each than what they were marked & Cameron adjusted the price & all is good. I recommend checking them out if youre a motorcycle rider & are in the Hoover AL area

I ordered a rear tire from the website and shipped it to the store. The store employees mounted and balanced it quickly. Good pricing and friendly employees.

I just went in for the first time. The associate that helped me (Im terrible with names) was perfect. I had questions and needed help and he was very patient and knowledgeable. He explained the variances and made sure I got what I needed (helmet and gloves). Highly recommend the place, and I will be back.

Staff was accessible yet not pushy and helped when asked. I liked that. They did not have what I was looking for but a nice enough experience. I will go back and give them another chance in the future.

The Reax Tasker glove is high quality glove. The cowhide and goatskin combination makes for an extremely comfortable wearing glove. The Flex Ribbing across the knuckles and back of hand provide for excellent mobility with glove. Highly recommend this glove.

The Hoover store is Awesome!!! I am a new rider and they guys working were extremely helpful. I wish I remembered his name but he was a skinny guy with long hair. I came in late last night and he helped me even when it was time for him to close the store. He has won over a new life long customer!! 💪🏾

Ive been in the store several times and each time was greeted by the friendly staff. Today I went in to have them contact Michelin, on my behalf, about a warranty claim on my front tire (tire has weird-shaped lumps all the way around) and was greeted by Store Manager Jeff Bradford. Jeff was great! He took the time to listen, looked at the tire, and agreed that it appeared to be a factory defect. He took down my information and said he was going to contact Michelin. He quickly contacted them and copied me on the email he sent. It is so refreshing for a retail store to care about their customers and actually do what they say they will. Regardless of the outcome of the warranty claim, Jeff has won me over and going forward I will buy all my tires and anything else that I need from them.

I came in to purchase a helmet for my wife and I. I was greeted by the entire staff which was awesome. I didn’t get the helmet (yet) but I was able to find a great pair of riding sneakers that were stylish and provided the support I needed for my ankle! Thanks you guys, see you soon for that helmet!!

I had an outstanding experince with cycle gear. I went in to get one tire replaced and they had me in and out within one hour. They will be my go to place from now on when I need someone to mount my motorcycle tires. I ordered my tire from revzilla and they mounted it for $25 and you just cant beat that. It was a win-win for me.

Kid on phone told me they had plenty universal seat pads to fit any seat made I drive an hour to get there they only have 3 and they fit a dam seat as big as a car seat after I told him I needed a small one for a rear seat

Stopped by on a Monday because every other cycle shop is closed on Mondays and got hooked up with Moto Gear for my kids, the guy working was very helpful on what they had in stock and what they were anticipating on getting in the coming weeks, prices were manageable and a great location for me driving from work to home. Customer service is awesome. I ordered a set of tires for my Ninja and no one called me when the arrived. I just happened to be in the area and stopped by to ask about them when I discovered they had been there a couple of days. When Jeff found out he immediately told me he would have them mounted and balanced for free. When I took them in the next day they did it while I waited. In todays lethargic retail environment its nice to see a retailer so genuinely concerned about the customer.

The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the stock. Employees are all great, helpful and very eager to help you out.

They were very helpful and if your in need of a helmet you cant do better there whole right side wall is just helmets. More clothes than parts but for filters oils levers general tools they have the common motorcycle set up but they can always order what you need. Remember support your local businesses not places like Walmart who virtue signal against your god given rights and ruin small businesses

Went in this past weekend to look at boots. The staff was really helpful and friendly. The guy waited as I tried on different pairs of boots. I didn’t buy any boots but I did buy some gloves because I needed them too. Will definitely be back to buy some boots.

Local Shop with World Class Service.Had an issue with my rear tire, Matt was the one who took in my request. He assessed the matter and determined that the beading of the tire had failed. From that point forward every effort was made to make sure my experience was a pleasant one until Jeff mounted my replacement tires ensuring that everything was good to go to my satisfaction. Visited the store on Veterans Day which was awesome because it was open. The one guy working that morning (I forget his name) was VERY helpful in discussing helmets and boots to ensure that my wife and I got exactly what we needed in our price range. Ill shop there again for all my bike gear needs!

I bought a charger from this shop to charge up a new battery for my motorcycle. Jeff one of the sales guys here was super helpful with not only recommending a charger that was on sale but also providing detailed instructions on how to use the charger after I bought it. If you need motorcycle gear come to Cycle Gear in Hoover and talk to the friendly knowledgeable staff. They wont steer you wrong.
