So here are the facts of my experience with Hope Outdoor Power and Equipment.I have a poulan pro mower that started having motor problems at about 1yr old, PP warranty Dept verified my mower is still under warranty and told me the two closest locations to take it for service. I opted to go to Hope because they had a shorter wait time. They repaired the cam shaft in my mower but since it was in the fall and I was in the process of a new construction home the mower was put in the garage until the following spring when hopefully I would have grass to mow. March comes around and I need to mow my winter grass and when I go to start my mower oil sprays out of the underside each time I try to crank it and I also notice where the mower had been leaking oil on the floor. I call Hope to discuss the issue and a possible resolution but am told they only warranty their repair work for 30 days. I explain to them it has been in the garage and I hadn’t had the opportunity to use it and I was informed I would have to call in and run it thru warranty again. I call PP warranty Dept and they recommended I take it toThe Place in Nashville to repair the oil issue. I take it there and they repair the choke that was not installed correctly and stop the spraying of oil. I get it home and use the mower and notice it is leaking oil elsewhere under the motor but not spraying out like it had before. I call in to PP warranty Dept again andI am told I need to take it back to Hope for them to correct what they did incorrectly. I call Hope and again they only cover warranty repair for 30days. I explain the situation again and the owner promptly tells me they only honor for thirty days because they don’t know what I might have done to the mower. She also proceeds to tell me that the mowers purchased from big box stores are pieces of junk and only people that can’t afford to buy good mowers like she sells buys them. Granted this is a $1,500 mower. It’s a 46” riding mower which I purchased because my yard isn’t big enuf for a zero turn. I called back a few days later to ask for a copy of the work that was completed on it because I ended up calling Briggs and Stratton and they have recommended I take my mower to a diamond level repair shop to repair the faulty mechanic work that was performed on my mower at Hope. When I spoke to the owner requesting the paperwork she told me she doesn’t have time to get the paperwork she was busy and hung up on me. This was my experience and I would just recommend you think twice before you bring any equipment to this location for repair work.
