As much as I’d hate to give bad reviews I have to be honest. To worker’s there are the best thing at that company the vendors how ever are the worst. They sold me a pair a frames that looked very flashy how ever they gave me what ever they wanted the store associates did their part and tried to get my right frames but they never got back with me of the store. I’m stayed on them for at least 4months still nothing. Truly sorry but I will go elsewhere for business GET BETTER VENDORS!!!!!!
We made an appointment for my son verified that since I was the insurance carrier there would not be a problem with me going in with him for his appointment since I have to pay for his new frames, glasses, etc. Was told no problem. Took off from work then get to appointment and am told by very unfriendly person calling patients I could not come in. Its a shame when a facility lets their staff ruin their business. After probably close to 10 years as a customer I think its time to look for another family eye doctor.
Just felt uncomfortable and wont be going back. Everything about it was off.
The doctor always seems too busy. He rushes through your exam. He was going so fast I had to tell him to slow down some. The wait to receive your glasses is always longer than what they say. They are Extremely overpriced. My One pair of glasses were $230.00 and this was over 4 years ago, I can only imagine how much they cost now. I never went back!!
Very rude and unprofessional office staff. Doctors are great but they need to stop letting their staff run their business in the ground ! Will never return there.
Posting on behalf of my daughter who was seen last week at this office. She came home very displeased with her visit. First, the front reception is very rude especially the manager who thinksShe can talk to anyone any way she wants to. Very unprofessional as well. The doctor she saw owns the business and he rushed through her eye exam and disregarded the concerns she had about floaters in her eyes. Place is outdated and dirty. Overpriced glasses and the technician who helped her was very annoying as well. Please do not go to this business or give them your money
Weird. Dr. an attitude. For what reason I don’t know. I had eye problem turns out just allergies...dry eye.Asked if there was a script that would help. Asked about the cost. Obviously important to me. Called in drops....cost $229.00. There’s a drop available over the counter that works just as well..(researched).Under $10.00.At a time like this with people out of work or on a fixed income like myself. Just plain rude, mean...etc.
Do not go here if you are wanting your vision to be the beset it can be, ASAP. They told me 7-10 business days multiple times but my daughter’s glasses arrived on the 12th bus day. The manager told me no partial refund bec apparently all her other employees were wrong, as the average is 10-14 business days. My biggest issue, it takes foooorrrevverrrrrrr.
Update: I requested they please call me and help me with this situation a few days after I went in. They haven’t returned my voicemail and everytine I call I am put on hold for 15+ minutes. They are blatantly ignoring me. Also found out from mutual friends that used to work there that they make fun on customers on Medicaid. Please don’t go hereHorrible service. The people at the front desk are rude and ignore u to talk to each other. The “manager” was also defensive when I asked questions regarding my insurance because I was confused. Doctor I saw rushed me and was quick and prices of their glasses are outrageous. Don’t go here
I had a general question about eye glasses repair. Someone was being helped in front of me and there was someone waiting behind me. I was BLATANTLY IGNORED. 1 front desk receptionist was on the phone... ended the call and immediately asked to assist the person behind me. The other two office personnel worked on tasks on the computer; looked up at least twice to see me and my son waiting for service. Another personnel member walked through the front office, looked at us waiting for service then ran off. After about 5 minutes of not being greeted, some finally says “Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t know you needed help!”This is unacceptable and POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. As a service provider in this area, I have referred plenty of patrons to this location in Hopewell, Va. NEVER AGAIN!!! Their poor representation of customer service and value is appalling! They have lost my business and the business I bring with my referrals. Unacceptable
Had a horrible experience. Went in on a Saturday for eyeglasses, already had my prescription. For one nobody never came over to help me look at the glasses, as the case said dont open it without an associate. Nothing has prices on them so of course you have to ask. Once I finally went to the window for help, I was told that I cant get glasses there because my prescription was sent to my email and it was a HIPAA violation(weird since It is MY info in MY email) I asked if it could be printed I was told no because it would have had to be printed before The deliver of how I was told was the problem. I will never go there or recommend anyone I know to go either. No help at all.
Some of their assistance are very rude on the phone. I have made an appointment with the office in Hopewell for a certain time and they had called to change my appt for another time ( same day) and then when I got there they told me that they never changed my appt. Then I had to wait outside in 90 degree weather to see if they can fit me in. Told them that Im diabetic. And they didnt care.
Our first impression of this place was good. Never really had any issue except their variation of frames sucks. My husband and I both get our glasses here and although never really saw many kids in here ; we took a chance and brought our son. Worse decision ever!There’s a lack of explanation from both the one who gets the pressure read and the doctor. My child was having his first eye examination and wasn’t too comfortable. I didn’t feel anything was too accurate as he kept moving and trying his best without much understanding.Moving on to the annoying tech people here speak about. Well, Brenda is so annoying and feels she needs to be in control of everything. She didn’t let us walk around and check frames liek we were used to. It’s an easy take, put on and if not of your liking then you put it back. Maybe she is too lazy to do her job of putting frames back but we weren’t allowed to touch ANY frames except the ones she wanted to sell to us. She then started talking about her personal life and was trying to mother my son who didn’t pay her any attention.Got the glasses for my son, picked the cheapest ones just to leave. My husband only got the lenses since he couldn’t pick his own frames and I will not be coming here ever again. Although they are “kid friendly” their office is full of adults and lack all training on dealing with small kiddos. So I Will be getting a second opinion on my child examination.
Service was great and my day was made by Kat. Got me in and out and was not expensive for what I got
I have been coming here since I was 9 years old. My whole family comes here. I love the employees that work there. They are always so warming to talk to. And the service is great. Doctors are amazing....💗💗💗💗
The receptionists and doctors are all very friendly and helpful. I really like this place. One of the best optometrists Ive ever been to.
The staff is nice .... But I was told by one of the staff to pay an extra $35 to get my lenses thinned (I have really thick lenses btw), which I was excited to come back and see my new thinned out glasses that this lady promised I would have.... But nope when I went in to get my glasses they were even thicker then before ! .... So now this time another woman tells me to go with a different option that cost me another $60 🙄.... If I go back this time and they arent any thinner, I want my money back .... Its just rediculous .... They should already know what works for which glasses, and not give me the run around, I could have been had my new glasses.... Instead Im waiting another 2 weeks and hopefully not for more empty promises about them being thinned out ....

Both my elementary school aged kids went here about 2 weeks ago. The visit itself went ok . The lady who helps pick out the glasses had a very forward strong annoying personality that I really dont feel was good.It took over a week for their eye glasses to come in.I called the staff to ask if 4:30 would be to late to come in to get my kids fitted so they wouldnt miss anymore school and the seceritery seemed more worried about making sure she got off a 5 rather than being sepathetic to my needs at all. Her words ...we close the door at 5 I guess as long as youre in here before then theres really nothing we can do about it is there?. Long as we arent to busy.

I went to take my kids to an office visit for an eye exam I was very dissatisfied with the customer service . The eye drs are great but they need new office people.I will not be going back here.

Got a message and a call stating that my daughters glasses were ready for pickup. Called office to verify they were in fact ready young lady said yes they were I went to pick them up. Upon arrival was told that they were accidently received. Needless to say this is not the first time this has happened. All they could say was SORRY.

Took a month to get my glasses, then when I called to see why, they told me that they were on back order. That was never communicated to me prior to me having to call. Then they tell me if I need to see before they come to go out and buy a pair from the drugstore like I didnt already spend over $200 for the glasses from them. Very disappointed!
