Small but well stocked with a choice selection. Not the place to stop for a cheap bottle of booze, this is where you go to discover a new fancy spirit. Beer selection is minimal but well rounded, and I dont drink wine so I havent looked, but this is A BOOZE place, worth the stop.

Placed an order in January for an item that was in stock, my credit card was billed. Then was told item was not available. They did credit my card, however then two days later billed it again. I had been in communication with Cory Knapp via email. Now 3 months later no 400$ shipment and no refund. I tried to contact via 2 different emails and absolutely NO RESPONSE. The phone number is voice recording that give you a BOGUS email.WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EVER ORDERING FROM Ace spirts !!!!!!

Ace is easily one of the coolest liquor stores in Minnesota. They have a gargantuan selection of whisky and spirits, as well as a solid selection of beers. The place has a great atmosphere and feeling of an antique general store. They even have wheeled ladders to reach the top shelf! In addition to their great selection they offer whisky tasting events regularly. I included a couple photos from a Gordon & Macphail tasting they hosted. It may not be the cheapest place in town, but probably the most dapper. Drop in, taste one of their many sample drams, and pick up a bottle of your favorite hooch!

Fleeced me into paying into a bourbon club and ensured me it wasnt just for locals, and allocated bottles would be offered to non locals. All lies and they dont ship to my state. I asked several times for a refund which was never given.

Would not recommend. Ordered on 12/9/20. Paid for extra insurance. Order was damaged and I never received it. As of 1/5/21, I still havent received a refund or the product. Insurance company says they wont refund shipping cost and wont credit back my original source of payment. Scam!

It is probably a good thing that I live four states away from Ace Spirits because I would otherwise spend WAY too much time in their shop. They are absolutely fantastic and definitely my go-to for hard-to-find spirits. Inventory is excellent, shipping is fast, and their customer service is spectacular. I found them whilst searching for a specific Russian vodka that I hadnt been able to find in years...and they ended up with a dedicated customer. All of you at Ace are wonderful! Thank you!!!

A couple of months ago, I was looking for a bottle and the website listed it as In Stock. I foolishly trusted the inventory system, drove 25 miles for the item, and was told that it was NOT in stock, but it could be ordered. I quietly left the store. On 12/5, I checked the online inventory, item was again listed as in stock. Not wishing to repeat the previous experience, I thought it wiser to call ahead to check if the item is actually in-stock. This was during the day (a Saturday), during business hours. Tried 2 numbers listed on the website, both of them dumped me to a voicemail system. The basic lessons learned here are: Inventory system is not accurate, and if you want to call ahead to see if something is in stock, no one answers the phone. I have purchased from this business in the past, but after 2 bad customer experiences in 2 months, I will not patronize this store again.

I have been buying from Ace for the past few years, and they are great. I no longer drive so getting my wine, etc., from a delivery has been a godsend. They always wrap everything carefully, ship it as fast as possible, and let me know if something will take longer to get. They also are friendly and polite over the phone. Selection is excellent and/or they will special order items. Just love the place.

Really liked ordering from here however my last three orders the main bottle I wanted, and the entire reason for my whole order, was out of stock even though they say available on the website. I like to order multiple bottles at a time to justify the shipping cost. They also wont sell allocated bottles online or on the phone, even in limited amounts, which is what it is but theres plenty of other sites that do now for msrp and those sites are getting more of my business. Im moving on to other websites to get harder to find bottles and sites that are actually able to fulfill orders. If you are a local and can go into the store Im sure its great.

If you are a whisk(e)y enthusiast, this place won’t disappoint. I always scan their website before a visit or else I would be there for hours. I highly suggest going in with a game plan, although the staff have been extremely helpful.I am literally a (super old) kid in a candy store (if you consider whiskey a treat) when I’m here! Great selection of single malts, blends, independent bottlers and world whiskies.I wish I could give then more than 5 stars!!!

I placed an online order from out-of-state because of an uncommon item I could not find locally. Due to the pandemic, there had been a considerable delay, but general information regarding delays was continuously available on the Ace Spirits website. Joyce took care of my customer service concerns and after the item of interest ended up not being available, she went out of her way to get help locating the uncommon item for me, which I received in a timely fashion after it was located. Her efforts (and bonus: cheap Midwest shipping) will keep Ace Spirits on the top of my list of shops when I need items I cannot find locally in the future.

Ive been here a few times and had a great experience each time. I was only 22 when I first stopped in. I was worried that my young age would make them think I wasnt actually into whiskey or knew anything. I ended up getting a bunch of serious recommendations and samples. I will go out of my way to buy a bottle here rather than total wine or something close by to home.

I only have experience with their online store. I placed an order during the midst of covid (so I expected some delay) and it was delayed. However, their customer service is what got them 5 stars. I was emailing back and forth with Pam and she was super nice and understanding and worked with me on one of the bottles being out of stock and getting my shipment to me. When it arrived everything was bubble wrapped tight and secure. I will be ordering from them again in the future!

Placed an order 5 days ago, credit card was charged. Sent me a tracking number via UPS 3 days ago- yet they have no package at UPS? Called Ace yesterday, lady was very nice, said UPS truck 2 days ago was supposed to pick up, but, maybe his truck was too full.? She said they were (conveniently) there as we were speaking and she’d make sure they picked up and to “track number” in a few hours, and they’re there till 11pm to call her back if I had another issue. 5 hours later, still nothing with UPS and tracking number...have called Ace several times and NO ONE picks up. Then got an email from “Nate” stating sorry issue with FED EX (you read it right, carrier changed), and now shipping with UPS, here is your new tracking number....it’s “THE SAME number from 3 days ago, and oh, same no info on UPS site and NO ONE answers at ACE.Great, COVID and a hurricane hours away from hitting us, thanks ACE!

Extremely disappointed. Tried to give them a chance. As a small business owner myself, this is not how you run a business. Ace Spirits have posted again and again that in-stock products ship in 2-3 days. I ordered only in-stock items because of this. After a week, I emailed and asked about the status. They said it would be soon. I was happy that I received a response. Within two days from that, I received an email that my order would ship within 24 hours. That was 13 days ago. I have emailed twice more, and cannot get a response. The business has updated their websites banner two times since then, each time saying all purchases of in-stock products ship in 2-3 days. Great prices dont matter if you dont actually get your order. I understand that they have been busy given the status of things at this time, but when you continue to say that you will be shipping in a certain time, why would you be surprised that your customers expect that?

Order #91352 placed and paid for 5/5, I contacted on 5/24 to inquire about my order. Received a message that my order was a special order that would take 30 days. On 7/24 received message my order is canceled and can’t be fulfilled. Terrible business practice. Unprofessional and unethical. I’m waiting for my refund. Will probably take another 3 months of waiting. I am highly suspect of these great reviews given my interaction with this company.

Just received my 1st order from Ace Spirits today (via Spee Dee Delivery Service). Shopping online was easy. Great packaging and professional delivery of all items.My only frustration was not having clear details of shipping date and tracking number information... especially since delivery requires over 21 ID & signature.Yes, I recommend!

I placed an order April 7th. They charged my card and now 19 days later... nothing. No email on status, no way to check on line. I tried calling, total of 59 calls so far and no answer. I even tried the local number but nothing. I sent 4 messages regarding my order but no replies. Im stuck! No idea what to do! I cant get my product or even cancel the order! If you have an order that is this far past due why cant you just email or call your Customer? Update: I have tried both emails, info and orders. Still no answer on phone calls. Three woman was nice, but it wasnt helpful. The gist of the call was We dont have your stuff. Were getting a shipment in and if your stuff is on there, youll get it next week. But we dont know if its on there. And if its not, we dont know when well get it so we dont know when youll get it.I gave them 2 stars because I know times are tough. But also, they seem to have no idea whats going on with their business. Maybe you should stop taking peoples money if you cant deliver the promised goods.

After reading some of the reviews, I was extremely sceptical ordering from Ace Spirits - especially because its the first time Ive ordered using a Yahoo Store! Please remember though that this is a small, independent business and they wont operate at the pace of a company like Amazon. There is no Prime Delivery!I placed my order originally on 31 June and the order was delivered on 6 August as a gift. As an expat, this is the best Scotch collection compared to all the mainstream brands you find in the local liquor store.Again, be patient - especially amid a global pandemic. As they say on their website, give them a call if you want an update. The order was sent via UPS.

This place is a gem. Im newer to whiskey, but the have been incredibly helpful as Ive got into it. Staff are knowledgeable, recommendations havent disappointed, and being able to sample various whiskies has been beneficial to the learning process. Prices are competitive, and the sale items are phenomenal. Most importantly, their selection puts everyone else to shame, even the big box store that shall not be named. Also, as long time craft beer drinker, they have perhaps some of the best prices you can find.

Ive placed an order on June 24, 2020 for a few cases of 2 brands of wine, my card was charged immediately. On July 21, 2020 I got an email letting me know that 1/2 of my order (one brand of wine) will not be in and that they will be ship the rest of the order. After another week went by of no email confirmation of shipment, I sent an email, asking to have the order canceled. No email reply. On August 16, 2020, no refund yet, I tried calling, sent emails, but no one is answering the phones or returning emails. On August 18, 2020 I contacted AMEX to dispute the charge.

I would like to thank the people at Ace Spirits for the help in completing an order of family-crested whiskeys that I gave out as presents at Christmas. The quick responses and assistance that I received left as good a taste as the whiskey did. The bottles shipped within a week of ordering and made one of the best Christmas presents to family members. They can get bourbons and whiskeys that I cant locate here and when they offer Free Shipping its a no brainer. They are quick and the best packers Ive worked with--NO Breakage upon delivery. I had been looking for a product that we had in Vegas back in March. Couldnt find it anywhere in IN, IL, or Wisconsin. Ace Spirits reassured me that they could order the product and deliver it to my uncle in Wisconsin in about 14 days. On Day 10 my aunt called to say my uncle opened the package and was so surprised that I had found it for him. Awesome!

Placed order on April 21, just received the order May 14 (23 days).When I opened the parcel I was expecting to see my order of two bottles of single malt scotch, however, the box contained two bottles of tequila.I called, callled and called the 800 number with no answer and no way to leave a message. Emailed both email addresses twice with no response.It seems that they are quick to take the money but not to deliver or respond to a completely messed up order.At this point I would not recommend.

What awesome service. I am a single malt scotch drinker and collector and many times I cannot find what I want locally. This means I need to purchase online to get what I want. I decided to give Ace Spirits a try after so-so service elsewhere. All I can say is wow. They had the bottles I was looking for. Ordering was easy online. Great prices. Quick shipping. And best of all, the packing was top notch. I have never seen a box packed so well (check the picture with all the bubble wrap in a very sturdy box). It blows everyone else away that I have dealt with. The bottles arrived in perfect condition. Needless to say, I will be moving all my scotch purchases over to Ace Spirits!

This is easily to coolest liquor store in the state. There selection is vast and unique! The atmosphere is unlike anything else. It has a real classy feel. Regular prices are good, but some of their sales and unique bottlings are simply fantastic. Their selection is top notch. Ive placed several online orders now and hope that someday Ill be able to visit the actual store. Their customer service is the best. They package everything with the utmost care. Placed an order April 12th and ended up finally receiving it May 22nd, after an item that was back ordered was replaced with another item. I do appreciate the phone call I received to pick a different item and to inform me that is what was holding up my order, but I do wish that it was possible to reach them via phone or email more easily. I only received that call after trying to reach them first via phone and email, and then placing a PayPal dispute after receiving no response. This was cancelled as soon as I heard from someone, which again I do appreciate that and was happy with the resolution and with the items I received. All in all I do believe they are doing the best they can despite the current circumstances.

The product variety is impressive but the way they ship and protect your purchase is more impressive! If you have to contact customer support, I hope you get to talk to Erin. She is a delight to talk to and has always made the shopping experience pleasant. I have made several purchases from ACE and only one had a mistake. She made sure my order was corrected quickly and to my satisfaction. She makes ACE even better-and I didn’t think that was possible! This place is worth travelling for if you are looking for a decent bottle of whisky. They have a small beer selection with some of the best prices in town, but this is truly a bottle shop. Stop in if youve never been, it is a real gem of the twin cities.

***UPDATE** Today, 56 DAYS AFTER PLACING MY ORDER, I received an automated email saying my order was updated. I was hoping my items finally shipped however the status was updated to No longer available. No answer on the phone after many attempts and no response via email. I also have not received a refund for my two cases of wine. I have started the process of disputing the charge with my credit card company. I also find it VERY INTERESTING that the recent 1 star reviews are almost immediately followed up by a 5 star review. Makes you wonder if these positive reviews are legitimate. I can tell you my experience with this attempt at an online purchase with Ace was terrible.***Order 85067 - I placed an order for 2 cases of wine thru their website on April 14th. I received a confirmation email and I was charged for the full order the very next day. It is now June 2nd. I have no tracking updates, no communication from Ace and no wine. I sent an email to [email protected] this past Thursday and immediately received an automated email saying they would respond within one business day. It is now end of the day on Tuesday and I have no response. Im honestly concerned that I may have been deceived at this point and am considering contacting my credit card company to assist in getting my money back.

I am Pleased to say I never gave up on Ace Spirits, in fact I placed a 2nd $150 order 3 weeks after the March 31st had not even shipped !!It took a month for the owner to e-mail Me and apologize that the order had fallen through the cracks of the overwhelming volume....As of May 5th the 3/31 order has shipped and the 4/22 order is staged for packing. Im not someone who writes reviews, good or bad. If its good, I tell me friends and associates. If its bad, I do the same. But this was a different type of online experience, which is worth the review on a Saturday morning full of other stuff to do.Id give these guys 10 stars if I could. After spending years ordering online from a bunch of other liquor stores and boutique whiskey store wannabes and having nothing but problems, I was lucky to find Ace. Two orders so far, eight bottles of whiskey and vodka. These products came in super heavy packing boxes, so nothing had a chance to break. EACH bottle or whiskey box was wrapped by hand in heavy bubble wrap and additionally, the neck of each bottle was wrapped. Then all the bottles were encased in several more layers of even heavier bubble wrap. The result? Everything arrived via FedEx in perfect condition.Great prices, an excellent selection, fast and secure shipping, exceptional customer service. Stop reading and order from these guys. They deserve your business.

For online orders: Regarding order #103002. No one answers the phone, website says In Stock on items that are apparently not.Ace Spirits charges you before it comes back in stock and ever ships. It takes 2-3 days to refund back to account after the cancellation.Save yourself the trouble of minimum orders, shipping and other BS: just buy local.

I had place an order on April 14. Was told I would definitely have it by the 5th of May. Now it is May 18th and still did not get my order. Don’t bother calling any number they have cause they will not answer. I have not got a email or anything telling me what is going on. They are quick to take peoples money but don’t expect your shipment cause you not gonna get it. If you try to email them you will get nothing in return either. I had paid through PayPal so if I don’t get any satisfaction by weeks end I will report them. Sad that there is people like this

So driving up, you might not think this place is as incredible as it is. It sits on the end of a small strip mall and you cant see a thing through the windows. But go inside and youre rewarded with an incomparable selection of scotch/whiskey and other spirits. And they have some decent wine and beer to boot, but its definitely a spirits-first spot. The help was great and we got a perfect bottle as a gift that was a big hit. And obviously, any spot with an old library ladder on rails just classes a place up.

Made online order from this company on April 6th. It is now May 6th, we have called multiple times only to reach a VM that says the VM is not monitored. We have also sent multiple emails with no response, but they did take our money on April 6th. I get that with the world today things are delayed and different, however no communication scares me that my money has been taken and I will never hear from them again. Buyer beware, as I have recieved no communication, nor my ordered products. UPDATE: received call stating their email system was down from their operations director Jay, said they were out of what we ordered and that he would recommend a few replacement wines. Then said tracking information will be sent within the next day. Never received tracking information but 2 days later we received a call from someone else stating the new wine order was an additional $21 and sent a paypal request, we had to pay the extra $21 before getting our already $140 order. We did finally get a tracking number so we’ll see what shows up I suppose. I really wanted to like this place instead of the big box stores, Definitely last online order and I guess we’ll continue to use the bigger stores for faster shipping and better customer service, and yes they are experiencing the same issues as this store however we have placed and received 2 orders during time we have still yet to receive one from Ace.

These people fradulently charged me for wine i did not order. Stay away from these peoples website. Their phone number hangs up on you. The guy said he would cancel but i still need to pay fedex. So dishonest. I plan to call the police on tuesday to file charges. What a sham of a business.Reply to the owner. My name here is not fake. For an owner of a company you are not too good with customer service. The issue was I looked at your prices, got a total at the shipping area and then saw how much you would charge me and closed the window. Ridiculous shipping charges. A couple hours later you authorized it. Get your info straight. You did the fraud. I did get a refund but still thinking of calling the police so you dont do it again and others dont need to go through this. Shame on you.

Ordered April 10th. 19 days later and still nothing. Money was taken out of my account though. No one answers emails or chats.

Very pleased to find a whiskey no longer available locally. Customer service was great & answered emails immediately. Got product ordered, and shipped within a few days (special order) and received the box, well packaged, with no worries of damaged bottles. Very pleased, and will order again!!!

Always a great staff and great selection. Enjoy my experience every time. Their events are always really fun too.

Had an issue with an online order and the store owner came in here and responded to the review and offered an option to fix it right away. After a rough experience with the online site, the owners response here matches the great instore experience and led me to change them to a higher rating. I will be picking up the portion of my order that did come in this week. Well done Ace
