I have bought 2 Ferris mowers from here, Jeff was very helpful and thorough. He explained everything to me about the mowers, every year at service time he calls me himself to remind me. I will not deal with anyone except Hopkinsville Outdoor Equipment

After spending a lot of time looking at zero turn mowers at Lawncutters without a single staff member even acknowledging me, I left for Hopkinsville Outdoor Equipment. Jeff stayed past closing time to go over every mower with me. We discussed my property and terrain features and he gave his honest opinion on which mowers would be the best long term fit for me. Once I decided on the Exmark radius S, we loaded her up and Jeff went into great detail on the operation, maintenance, and care of the mower. I returned a few weeks later and purchased a Stihl chainsaw and received the same level of service. It is rare to find a business that shows this degree of care for their customers and the equipment they sell. I will be a lifelong customer.

Jeff and his team are hands down the best in the area when it comes to customer service and knowledge of their equipment. I bought a Ferris 400s 48 and Jeff went over every aspect of the mower to make sure I understood how to use and take care of this machine. I recommend them to anyone with lawn care needs.

Not happy with the experience at Hopkinsville Outdoor Equipment. Did business with them twice and will never make that mistake again. I wasn’t very happy with my first experience with them regarding a stabilizer bar for our 72 inch Cub Cadet mower. He didn’t know which part we needed and sent us a very grainy unreadable schematic for us to identify which part to order as they are an authorized Cub Cadet dealer. Long story short I spent an hour and a half with a rep from MTD To get a better schematic And got an idea of what we might need. I sent Jeff the schematic and asked why he couldn’t have gotten a copy like this screen shot I was sent. He said that the grainy schematic that he was given and pawned off the graininess on his rep. I got a clearer schematic and we ordered the part through Jeff but was very unhappy.Now I am dealing with ordering another part again (that after calling another dealer) I learned this part and work is under warranty, I guess the other dealer knew this because he bothered to look it up. The part was already ordered the part although I did not authorize it on my credit card. His wife ordered it anyway saying my fiancé said it was ok which l am pretty sure it is not legal and definitely not good business practice. I will be refuting the charge and not doing business there again. He and his wife are untrustworthy and are not on the same page.Make sure you ask for emails of quotes and get all policies in writing. Also, make sure that if you have a credit card on file with them, they make sure to ask the person that it is issued to for confirmation of payment. This did not happen and I am disputing the charge for the part that was under warranty.During this conversation about this issue, Jeff hung up on me twice. I guess as as woman he thinks that he can just treat you with disrespect. I am filing a formal complaint with the Cub Cadet authorized dealer network folks and I am going to post as many negative reviews about this business that I can. Caveat Emptor. Buyer beware.Do not trust these people. We have three Cub Cadet mowers and they are in impeccable condition. He tried to sell my fiancé a 60 inch Exmark mower. We don’t need a 60 inch Exmark mower as we already own a 60 and a 72 inch Cub Cadet mower. We want trustworthy service and are willing to pay for it. This is not about money, it is about respect. We are working class people that have financed these products and don’t appreciate being cheated by people that seem to be willing to put personal profit over doing the right thing. I want my money refunded to my credit card and do not ever want to do business with them again.

Went into store to replace drive belt. On further inspection by their tech the deck was rusted out and needed welding. The original quote was just over $390. Lawn mower was repaired and upon pickup the cost of completed work was $630. $240 over quoted price! They did this without even a phone call. The quality of work was top notch but over a 50% increase on the original quote without even a phone call is unheard of! I do not recommend this business.

Jeff went above and beyond answering questions and going over benefits of each mower I was interested. He even stayed after hours going over things before I made the decision of what mower best fitted my needs. Made my decision the next day. Made a appointment for them to deliver my mower. They was prompt on being on time. They spent time going over every detail on my new mower and answered all my questions. Thank you for all your help. Highly recommend them.

Summer hours are listed as 9 to 12 Saturday (not). Drove an hour to get parts and they were not open on Saturday. Called and their message was an answering machine saying they are open 8 to 12 Saturday. Again they were not open.

Recently purchased a new Exmark. The lawnmower is everything I expected and more. Very pleased with it. Jeff made the purchase very easy. Before I loaded it up to come home (on his trailer that he let me borrow) he made sure I knew the in’s and out’s of the mower. He went over all maintenance areas with me. I highly recommend Hopkinsville Outdoor Equipment to anyone looking for mowers, blowers etc.

I rarely give a 5-star! I have used this Hopkinsville Outdoor Equipment to service my Stihl equipment (O39 saw, different bars and chains and a FS51 trimmer) as long as the store has been open. The proprietor knows his business and the equipment better than all others. He will always speak candidly. You may find cheaper elsewhere or online, but you will get more for your money from this business. I have tried others but always come back to HopOutEq. But what impressed me most was his donating equipment and service when I volunteered in Houston TX for two months helping them recover and rebuild after Hurricane Harvey. HopOutEq’s competitors in town refused to donate even a little (they even refused a suggested donation of a single fuel can). The impact the proprietor and Hopkinsville Outdoor Equipment had on a community far from Hopkinsville was tremendous. For these simple reasons, I will only use this store for the best service of my equipment. The same is said by my acquaintances across Christian, Trigg and Todd Counties.
