Sold me a hair product that expires in less than 4 months & refuses to issue a cash refund, only store credit.Owner would not exchange the unopened-products out because they are chemicals. As an honest customer, that spent over $80 on hair products, I feel robbed out of my money!I’ve been supporting this beauty supply company faithfully since 2013, a total of 7+ years, supporting both locations over the years (Grand Caillou and West Park). But, I promise I won’t spend another penny with this company. I’m highly disappointed with the customer service!

They are so friendly and the store is so organized

I am visiting from out of town and decided to stop by Essence Beauty Depot in Houma La. I walked in the store and wasn’t greeted but the next customer right behind me was greeted of course that customer was White and I am African American. All people should be treated the same when walking into a business such as this because they are catering to a vase majority of People. I asked the cashier if he was the owner and he did not understand because he is an oriental and told him I did not like how business is conducted there. I will never again go into Essence Beauty Depot in Houma. They are selling Black products under the Essence name and they can’t even understand English but yet want our Black Dollars.

Items are stacked like little cities yet everything is easy to find. They offer a wide array of makeup, hair products, earrings, wigs/hair, and even apparel. Friendly and informative staff and quick checkout times.

I can always find what I need for my hair and my sons hair. Im in and out without any complications and I love that.
