This place was an interesting find as it covers a lot of niche hobbies that most people would have to shop online to be able to find. It was also nice to see all the retro gaming disc and cartridges they had in stock for sale as well as some of the older comic books.

Always a good experience because I love this store! Been to more updated inside 2nd and Charles stores. Now, the restrooms were really nasty. Ill never go in there again unless its cleaned up. I had children and it killed me to have to let them use the restroom.

Rude employee accused me of fraudulently getting the wrong book for their wednesday buy1get1 used book sale. every time Ive bought used books on wednesday, the employees never know what im talking about with the buy1get1 deal even though its plastered all over the front of the store on 3x5 foot posters.otherwise, some great deals on used books to be found.

Never been to a place like this before, heard it was a place to sell your old books. I did a trial run brought about 12 novels hardback and got 14.00 store credit or you could take cash which was about 7... I took credit. I didn’t want any more books but this place has a lot of stuff to buy. I’m going to keep bringing books, vinyl records, dvd they even buy old postcards. I’m 75 and saved a lot of books that I’m sure no one in the family wants.

OMG. I totally didnt see this coming. From the outside of the store I was expecting nother salvation army kind of store. Instead amazing book looking Banrs N Noble store front. But than it gets better, so many cool things from video game area to awesome super low prices books, music, comics. I bought few things for my daughters room that Ive never seen before. Totally love this place and my kids will too next time when I bring them. Highly recommend to stop by this new place if you are in going!

Awesome as always. They have many things for all sorts of Fandoms. Some things are a bit pricey, but definitely worth it.

This is my favorite book store . They have all kinds of stuff from books to guitars and old records. They always have a bin outside with free books and other things. I will always go there if I want any books or harry potter merchandise!!

I wouldn’t recommend this place. They are rude. I have a hurt knee and i couldn’t stand for long so i sat on the floor and the lady rudely asked for me to not sit on the floor. I told her i have a hurt knee i cannot stand rn and she didn’t care at all and told me to stand up. So i stood up and walked out. Very horrible service. Doesn’t ask if you need help or anything. Wouldn’t recommend at all!!! and i don’t usually give complaints about a place.

So much better than the Covington location! The employees are friendly and have no issue walking you to the section or answering questions. The organization is also a lot better. I adore the section with books organized by color, but Im glad that is a small section for aesthetic and not how the whole store is done.

I like this place alot. I think theyre buyback system is a great way to reuse books. I do think some genres are a little messily organized but overall a great book, game, novelty, and music store.

Amazing store. Its like Books a Million on steroids. They have music sections. Game sections. An soo much more. This place was like a dream.

Good prices and surprisely for collectors there some rare gems found here but you have to jump on them because they yo fast.

AWESOME people and AMAZING inventory

Regardless of your opinion of masks during this time, there was one associate fighting the good fight and ensuring everyone was keeping safe and abiding by the companys rules about masks, dealing with many ridiculous people in the process.

Its a nice store. Have a lot of unique items. Couple that with the fact you can sell your items directly to the store makes it a great place to pop in and see what is available. Not a big box one size fits all type of store. Dig deep and find your hidden gem!

My favorite place to go when looking for manga, every time I go I find exactly what I’m looking for and they are very organized. The prices are very good and I really recommend going to 2&Charles!

Great place for gently used books, a great record collection and much more. The staff is friendly and will help find anything. The books could use a better organizational system, but overall a great place for books and memorabilia.

Excellent assortment of unique books...Used books in great condition at unbeatable prices...they have a wide variety of items other than books...the buy back program is really cool as well...I got 1-9 of a series of books and mistakenly got 1 from the wrong series...had no problems going back and explaining and getting a refund to be able to exchange...customer service on point...great job at keeping Houma reading within pocketbook range!!!

Great place to find what you need

Had 3 people behind the desk no one asked me if I needed help I was the only family left in the store. I had to call someone over to ask about a game console and they said they didnt have any systems

Decent. Only problems are the bookshelves being very high and they never have good non-fiction history/science books..just a bunch of psuedo/propaganda junk.

I always love to go to this place. They have books that you can read right there. Their collection is abundant and they even have manga, which is something I dont find often in other book stores.

Very cute little place. Some items were very cheap, some were insanely expensive, and most were fair. But Ill definitely be back to browse and possibly purchase. Huge variety of stuff. Definitely enjoyed just looking around.

Nice clean but slow services

Great prices here!!! Although I had a DVD that I wanted to buy that the price tag said $8.00 in the front of the DVD and when it scanned at the register, it was $14.95 so that wasnt a pleasant feeling. I left it there. The lady didnt honor the $8.00 price. Also it would be a much better shopping experience if there was a coffee shop in the store to enjoy a great cup of coffee.

Lots of good books at reasonable prices

Great prices and I love that I can purchase manga there; but I hate how pushy the staff can be about those magazines that nobody wants. I told the cashier about 5+ times that i DID NOT want the magazines before he FINALLY rung up the book I wanted to buy. I was getting pretty irritated and just wanted to throw the book at his face and walk out. I just want to be able to go in and purchase what I want without having stuff I dont want to buy shoved at me. FYE shoved the same magazines on me once and I had a really difficult time trying to cancel them. I prefer to buy in store but if that stuff keeps happening then I can buy the same stuff online. Its just gonna cost more and Id have to wait for my item to come in.

This is a book store and so much more! They sell new and used books as well as buy books! They also sell video games and systems, novelties and so much more! You can sit and read, just browse or drop off your books youre selling and return later! The staff are friendly and extremely helpful if youre looking for something special or if it is your first visit.

Awesome customer service.I purchased a Bible and after returning home realized it was missing one of its books. I brought it to their attention three days later and they were very helpful. They even opened the new one to ensure it did not have the same error.

Ive been up the store several times. My son needs books for school reading, and Ive always found what he needed. This past Wednesday, my son finally got to visit 2nd & Charles. He really likes it. Hes into comic books and video games. He found lots of both. Hes already asking me when can we return. The people are real nice and very knowledgeable about whats in the store.

I love the idea of this store. There are so many books I could spend hours in here just looking. I have gotten a few good deals the few times I have gone. I wish it were a bit easier to find books of certain genres. The store does have lables but they are sometimes easy to miss. This store is masssive. You would not know it from looking at the outside. Also it has a place with guitars music movies and much more.

Amazing little find in Houma. This is a book store with lots of extras. Prices are very good, and selection is abundant. Lots of old games and video games from the original NES to sega Atari and PS 1. Even the systems, they even have the new systems and games. I will definitely be going back.

It had a bunch of books to look at. Very nice manager. It was clean and had many things to choose from, the arena is a great place for gamers.

It was a four star because it had allot of great stuff however nothing I was currently looking for.

Bring the grandkids they love to sit and look at all the new releases.there are toys there also and lots of discounted nooks. Some only $1.00. Go you will not be disappointed.

If they had a bigger selection of new releases it would be 5 stars.

NEVER SELL COMICS HERE!!! I brought in a bin of older Marvel and independent publisher comics to sell. The collection filled three of there boxes. It took them four days to sort and price them (not bad, but a little slow.) Went in this morning and was offered $39.55 . I had an almost complete set of original Star Wars (Marvel 1977-1985) comics, original trilogy, issue #1 is priced at about $200.00. I was told that the most they would pay out was 10%. So the rest of the two bins of comics were only worth $19.55? And they rejected a full bin of books. I may go in to look and maybe buy books, but I WILL NEVER SELL ANYTHING TO THEM AGAIN!

Absolutely love this place. There are so many things that they have here. I often come for the vinyl records and classic video games. Most things are priced fairly but couldnt give five stars because Ive seen some items with sort of unreasonable prices. Friendly staff as well.

Lots of nice books, new and used. Found some old comics from when I was a kid.

Took 30minutes just to check out. Not busy at all. 1 cashier, other employees around. Definitely need to be trained in customer service. Over priced. Definitely wont be returning.

This place is gorgeous on the inside. Im not to find of the selling of your books because you really dont get much money for them but its an amazing book store. Cant wait to spend my days there...

I love 2nd and Charles they have and amazing selection of books, video games, movies, music, and so much more. The prices on every are really good to. The only reason I deducted a star it because some of the video games Ive gotten from there were super scratched up and wouldnt play right, but thats not exactly the stores fault. They take used books videos games and movies, and they always get some over stock from other 2nd and Charles locations. Because of this they are not always aware of the quality of the games. That said they will check them at the desk if you ask, something I found out from an employee when returning some of the bad games I had purchased.

Love this place!!!

They buy books for at most .40-.50 cents then mark them up 1500-2000% or more for sale. Most books sell for $7-$10. But one book they bought from me for .45 cents is now for sale as a rare book for $23. This same book is available on Amazon for $4.Your local indie bookstore may not have the sheer number of books as 2nd & Charles, but the prices will be much better. I wont be returning.

Nice looking store & people are nice. Do your research on buying the used music instruments (mostly over priced). If buying used movies, check the prices on all of the same DVDs. Some are priced differently.

When youve registered your stuff, youll get a text notification when your order is complete. Its a regional chain.They also have a great selection of movies.There are also free and deep discounted items near the entrance.They are often built in regional hubs. Three 2NC locations exist.Visit them in Bossier City, Covington, and Houma.

Great place to find books games or vynals

Pretty neat stuff here that you cant really find elsewhere in the city. Also, they have a Brawl setup on Wii there, which is dope.

Okay, service was slow but prices where fair.

Nice bookstore. Was overwhelmed by the smell of old books when first coming in. Some people might like that, but it just didnt resonate with this place trying to be pop-culture savvy and smelling like an old library.

So happy they replaced the Booksamillion with this. It is by far the better book store.
