My wife and I had a good experience at Big Lots today. Zach was helping us decide on a new mattress and box spring for my son. He is to be commended on his knowledge about the different styles of bedding offered there. I believe we made a great choice, thanks to Zachs assistance.

Checked the web page for an item then called the store and was lied to about having a product in store. I would like to thank this store for waisting my time and gas for nothing.

Drove an hour away because an employee told me they had an item I called about. Gave them the item number and all. Put us on hold, came back and said they had it. Drove the hour to the store because no other store had it. Item cant be bought online. Arrived and a really nice lady and gentleman had to inform me it wasnt in stock. I asked over the phone if the item could be put on hold and she hesitated to tell me she cant do that so we came right away. Not that a hold mattered since they didnt even check if the item was in stock. Then when I arrived I was informed I could have put it on hold if it were available. So I got lied to twice by this woman. Waste of my evening and a 2 hour drive for an item that didnt exist.

I went to use womens restroom and on right side of the toilet on the floor there was toilet paper and brown paper that you dry your hands with it had blood on it and there was a bloodie tampon in the corner by the plunger it was nasty they need to clean the restroom

Im a fan of Big Lots. Its a great place to go to get discounted, and sometimes unique, products. You can find your basic home goods and decor, lawn care items, holiday decor, etc. here for half the price youd pay at other stores. Of course, you have to be mindful of what you buy because not everything is of the necessary quality, but there are tons of well-made products here that are decently priced.

Very nice women greeted us when we came in. We found a lot of bargains. They have a lot of furniture at this store. The same nice women checked us out definitely will return and hope to see that pretty lady again

Theres an interesting selection of stuff in the grocery area that you dont see any other stores in the city. Moon Cheese? Ive only ever seen that stuff on Amazon, but they had some here. Sioux City drinks? since the Epicurean Rouses stopped carrying them, this is the only place I know of in the city that has them. I like walking into a store and seeing a different selection then what every other store has.The place is kind of dirty, and there is product laying all around the store. Why? I was thinking of applying for a job so I could straighten the place up, but I doubt management would give me the time to get the place looking presentable.

But the main reason I am reviewing this location? The bathroom. Oh my god. The girls bathroom is out of order so I used the mens restroom. It. Was. DISGUSTING. There was literally human feces in the toilet, not in the water like someone just forgot to flush. Nope, it was SMEARED around the inside of the bowl and a wad of urine SOAKED towels in the garbage. Never again. Nope. And a mysterious stain on the wall by the door....is it pee? ....is it poop? ...is it a mixture of both?

The staff was very helpful.Mr.Fred the store manager held a queen mattress for till I could get to his store.it was the last one he had.just a pleasure to shop at his store.

I always buy items to decorate with, that are not on my list.

Would give it 5 stars if it had mobility carts available so my fiance could shop too.

Bought a box spring here, was told one thing about it than another when we picked it up. Had it not been a necessity at the time and late evening when we picked it up (had to borrow truck and trailer), I would have gone elsewhere. Also this place might have the worse public bathroom in Houma barring gas stations.
