This place is expensive and some booths are extremely cluttered. The people are nice though
One time we found something we treasure and the price was right, but most of the times we visit things are just too pricey and weird. I like to call it the rejected artist gallery.
This place is awesome. Pricey, yes, but quality is high and antiques are well preserved. I love the $7000 armoire.
A cool experience in the heights! Just stumbled upon this place after walking around the shopping plaza down the street. I walked in and already being an antique kinda guy I knew I would be hooked immediately. They have a lot of cool stuff notably the baseball bats/mitts along with hockey sticks and random kitchen interior stuff. I also saw old garage signs and oil and gas vintage signs. Lots of garden antique stuff and clay pots. The main building had lots of Christian-like antiques and statues. I didn’t get I spend as much time as I wanted because I came their right before closing. If you’re in the area and like old things it’ll be up your alley.
I have visited this place twice last week. It is a lovely store with lots of best quality antique items for vintage fans. If you are looking for some unique rugs for your home, I highly recommend to visit second floor. Gorgeous vintage rugs with fair prices. Staff was very welcoming..
This place is outstanding. It is kept in order and quite clean. The variety of items is superb. There are several levels of antiquities here.I believe that the quality of the items was better than Average for the area... by area I mean the Houston greater metropolitan area. I have been to other antique marts and they look run down and very dirty.I strongly recommend a visit here if you like to shop for antiques.
I absolutely love this shop They have got so many good little treasures to find in there I can spend all day just looking at it all
First time coming in the guy was nice and welcoming. There were some beautiful things sadly is overwhelming with so many things covering wonderful stuff. Pretty good price range. Will definitely visit again.
Not POC friendly. Did not feel welcomed at all, not even after making a purchase.
Great place. Good selection. Price is okay.
Fabulous place, always something new!
Part of our regular rounds when looking for unique antique items - good variety!
This place is ok. It could be a lot better with a little effort
Love their items. Its a big store.
Customer service is horrible, especially the guy working at check out in the mornings and not wearing mask during Covid. I am clearly pregnant, and had my hands full with my toddler. First, he was not able to make change for cash, fine. Then when I went to hand him my credit card, while trying to put my cash away and manage my toddler, he went out of his way to direct me to the opposite end of the cash wrap to insert my card instead of simply helping me finalize my transaction. His lack of professionalism is enough to make me never step foot in the store again. They have some nice things, but desperately need training in their customer service department.
Love this store. Always have fun hunting. Have found some wonderfull things over the years.
What an incredible store! They have everything you can think of in an interesting shop like this. Jewelry, furniture, old home items, pictures, paintings, old kitchen things, toys, art, instruments, I could go on and on. We had a nice chat with the gentlemen behind the counter, very interesting man. He also gave us some good advice for getting around the city.
Last weekend my parents came to visit Houston all the way from Midland.Tuesday afternoon, I decided to take my parents out antiquing, which they LOVE.The first stop was a place I had never been to before -- the heights antiques on Yale, LLC.This store is all indoors. In less than 5 minutes of being there, a lady walked by me and my parents, with no mask on, WAVING A FAN in front of her face.I was very upset about this. After a minute of taking some deep breaths deciding what to do, I walked up to the front and told the man working the store.I said do you know there is a lady here without mask waving a fan in front of her face?Without even looking up from his computer, his response was Ive been googling. As long as they are in the same group and maintaining 6 feet of distance its fine.I said well they arent maintaining 6 feet of distance. They just walked shoulder to shoulder by me and my parents and I literally felt the air go in my face!I said sir, you know I can report this and both your store and that lady can get fined? At this point this man had barely moved from his desk. He began to tell me to calm down or nothing would get done. I said can you please go tell her right now or I will call someone. I said maybe I should have just kept my parents home to keep them safe, but I expected places like this to be following the rules. He continues to just tell me to calm down. I repeat can you please go tell her or I will report this.He is still barely moving, he has finally come out from behind his desk and now he has his hands palms out in front of him telling me to calm down as if Im attacking him. I continued to repeat, go tell her or I will call someone. My momcomesaroundthe corner and asks whats going on. I told my mom to go back and keep shopping that I was handling this. Now this store worker has the nerve, to again stop walking and say thats your mom? You talk to your mom that way?I looked at him and I said are you serious? The store worker MOCKED ME, copying me he said are you serious. Then I took one step toward him and AGAIN repeated myself, go tell her now or I will call someone. When I stepped toward him and said that, he raised up his arms out by his side, bowed up his chest to me and went eh ehhh EH! Like a child????This BOY, not man, STILL HAS SOME NERVE because then he tells me he can call someone on me!!I said what are you going to tell them, that Im trying to report you for not following the mask order and that I had a tone of voice with my mom? Go ahead. He had no response and this is when i finally realized how ridiculous this situation was and walked away. I walked to the back and got my parents and we left the store. The store worker flipped me off and didnt say a word.I took my parents to the other stores around the heights and they gladly bought $1,000+ of antiques and we didnt spend a penny at that store. It was full of mostly junk anyway. If you need to take your mask off and wave your fan to go cool off, go sit in your damn car!!!!!!!She didnt even have a mask at all, and no excuse such as breathing issues was ever given for her.The store employee acted like a child, when all that had to be said when I first came to express my concern, was oh yes maam, let me go take care of that for you. She shouldnt be waving a fan inside. However, she can allow her to remove her mask if she is 6 feet apart from you.Even when I told him she wasnt maintaining the distance, instead of being concerned about it what is happening, the employee acts like a child, mocks me, bows up at me, threatens to call the cops on me?Im sure your manager will love this review.I decided a bad review in the midst of COVID probably does more damage than a fine. Ive never had an experience so bad that I actually took the time to write a review about it so, that says something. If you care about following Covid guidelines correctly, I wouldnt go here. And like I said, the other antiques stores on Heights streetarewayyyyy better than this store.
From the time I walked in to stepping out was totally disgusting. My sister and I decided to check out this place. When walking in, an older woman, clearly Caucasian, looked at us with disgust. Me being a little lighter than my sister, she first looked at my sister up and down, possibly questioning to herself, “why are they in here?” Then, immediately looked at me the same way.My sister and I ignored, we greeted her with respect but (not a surprised) we didn’t get the same respect returned. We kept walking and soon to find out, the same woman was following us.. even when went upstairs. Pretty creepy and rude. However, she greeted others, followed us and mean mugged us the whole time. What a wonderful place.
One of my favorite haunts for over 15 years. So many good finds! I love how things are displayed and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
The staff member Christy should definitely not be working with the public. She had a horrible demeaning attitude and the way she treated me in the few minutes I was in the store, no one should be treated. I hope you find whatever it is in your life that can help you be happy Christy.
Loved going here! I cant wait to go back with my husband to do some more looking! Wonderful assortment of period pieces and collectibles.
Love this place
Great antiques store! Never know what you’re going to find. Owner is great, however the son of the owner is awful. He is rude, inattentive, not helpful and sat on the phone with his mother the whole I was there the last time. As long as he’s not there, the place is wonderful!
A lot of hidden treasures everywhere and a great place to just explore! Reminds me of Dentons mini-mall.
So many things to look at and generally fair prices! Everything is also organized very well. Its a pickers paradise!
Love the food! Menu to big to choose. Will visit many more times!
Not much there. Plus the staff was snobby
Great place to pick up old, hidden gems. Wife spent hours dragging me thru the store.
More home decore than vintage items.
Great antiques ..not too pricey
Wonderful antiques, wonderful people!
Why are people so bitter at this store. No one working there smiles and to top it off the lady at the register is just rude. I was checking out and in the middle of a transaction she decided to turn around and walk away. I believe she went to go place items back on the floor rather than finished processing the sale.
Charming!
The owners are very nice and helpful
If you’re into old stuff, this is the place
