They had one cockatiel on consignment and I feel in love with her! 🥰 Stephanie is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, kind and caring in not just the birds needs but yours as well. She helped make me more comfortable in my beginner knowledgeable and did not push a sale on me. Just giving me information and letting me decide. Which I appreciate lol.The birds are healthy, cared for, and in clean environments. You cant take pictures of the birds but I was able to of the location, to show what they have available.Best shop for birds! Will definitely visit again! 😊

If you live in Houston and have a bird you know that this is the place to go. We got both of our Yellow Naped Amazons here and Jose is our go to guy for forever. We have put our babies here for boarding and while out of the country we asked Jose if he could send us pictures of our babies because we missed them and he did so with no hesitation. You guys are the best.

I’ve boarded my conure here four times, and I actually go out of the way to board my bird here vs some closer places when I’m going out of town. Friendly staff and very clean boarding room. The form they have you fill out prior to boarding is very professional and shows they plan to treat your bird with the upmost care and make sure they address your bird’s specific needs. I feel really comfortable boarding my bird with them.

I went to buy some items for a bird I found and they recommended a food that was inappropriate because they dont carry the correct one. They would not take it back. Purchase was within 24 hours. I will not shop there ever again.

We love birds and its really nice having a store devoted just to them. There are tons of toys and food. They have some items we have never seen before and the quality of the birds they offer for sale is top notch. They are hand raised, unlike most other stores. The prices are a little higher than others, but if you want a store that knows their birds, this is it!

First time visiting A parrots Cove. I Loved it. A man and his family came in with a baby macaw and what I believe to be a cockatoo. My daughter and I got to see the macaw get her beak trimmed. It was a pleasant visit. The man mentioned that he gets his bids there. I will too in the future!

Went last Saturday to have my quakers beak trimmed. This place is amazing and the prices are awesome. The local bird store i go to has crazy high prices. Went here and the same toys and treats at reasonable prices. Love the store love the selection. My expe6 with the employees was great i was greeted as soon as we walked up even though the lady was busy with customers. The guy who trimmed my birds beak was awesome and did a good job. Will be back and looking foward to spending some serious money here😂 I got a ringneck and a quaker and they go through some toys. The only downside is they didnt have any cosmic crunch toys or much of a selection for beak trimming toys if they could get some large cosmic crunches that would be awesome. But I would highly recommend this place

I got my baby bird from here and Erica has been very helpful and very patient. Not to mention the place is so clean and has a lot of nice bird toys, play stands, cages and everything you need for your bird companion. Their birds are beautiful and super tame as well. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I have purchased several birds from here. One was a Timneth African Grey and the other one was a Blue and Gold Mccaw. Both were healthy and I love them very much. It was over a year ago . Great place to bring the birds for nail and beak trimming . I just checked in last week and bought some more toys for them. A trusted place for me.

I just read so beautifull comments and some people complain on price but i also see the quality thats what really matter for me if you tacke really good care of them and hand feed is not an easy job to do so its worth it i was gettin my parrot from another place and they said whenever it arrives i have to hand feed so if he get sick is not their responsability so that makes me think they work for money no for love to animal i will go to get my bird on parrot cove and i will update a few months after but im so happy and glad i found this placeUpdate 11/12/19 this is an update i bought my baby yellow head there i pay 3000 for rocco but everybody took so good care of him since he was like 3 weeks until he was able to eat by himself. Is worth it because ididnt have to worry about anything . Maribel help me alot really nice lady . Rocco now is 6 months and he is healthy and talking now. I will keep shopping my food there and toys too.

From what I was able to see, the few birds that are out in the open to checkout seemed to be very well taken care of and in great health. The customer service was a solid 4 stars. Where they lost the 2 stars is pricing. They are by and large the most expensive bird shop Ive encountered so far.

We recently bought our baby cockatiel from this location, and I could not be happier with our experience. A Parrots Cove does an incredible job of socializing their birds and allowed us to visit every day until our little guy was ready to go home. He settled in immediately and already knew how to step up! The staff are all so friendly and accommodating. If youre considering buying a bird from here, know that the prices are higher than other places in Houston but what that they charge is well worth every penny!

I’m selling my home so I needed someone to take care of my Parrott. I reached out to this company and they were super friendly. They took excellent care of my bird, that when I went to pick him up he didn’t want to come with me. They fed him and called me when he needed more toys. Great prices too.

Got my new bird baby here today. Staff were friendly, knowledgable and helpful. I checked out the reviews before coming here. Cannot understand the people complaining about the prices. I called a number of bird shops in the Houston area looking for a Green Cheek conure. One of of the shops was offering me a decade old bird for the same price that a youngster cost at Parrot Cove. I found the prices very reasonable considering the quality. Staff warned me that my new bird might not eat for 12 hours upon getting home, but it immediately started gorging on millet and bird feed. Were still getting to know each other, but its a very chill little bird. You can tell they take great care of their animals here. (PS. I named my gender ambiguous bird buddy, Newton. They seem to like testing out gravity with their food.)

We bought asun conure, a bit pricey compared to online but Im 100% sure thats because of the difference in care given to the birds. Staff were nothing but knowledgeable and respectful of all the birds

I think Covid has given businesses a reason to have bad customer service. I didn’t have a mask today nor did they have a mask that I could use. I’ve been going here for about 18 months to get my birds nails trimmed and I always buy him toys while I’m there. Today they wouldn’t allow my to shop although she was putting on her mask as I was coming in the door. I understand a business has the right to refuse service to anyone, so we left. The thing that gets me is she didn’t even care that we were leaving or that they were losing a valued customer. She didn’t say anything but “ok”. She didn’t offer any solution to try and keep a regular paying customer. It seemed like the could care less that we left. I am a retail store owner and maybe that is why I have a hard time accepting this type of customer service. I always have mask for people who come in without one. I would never let a customer leave thinking I didn’t value them or their business. This is just a bad business practices. We will not be back.

I recently got a little baby girl here and she is so dramatic, I love her so much. Much better than other bird breeders and when I went I saw a woman playing with the birds. So you know its true that they take care of their birds.To the people that say the man is snooty, I dont agree. He is just a bird geek like the rest of us. I like that he went through everything that is toxic even if I knew it.10/10 best bird storeUpdate:I took her here for grooming and she hurt a blood feather and I was panicking but they helped with it and did her grooming. Shes very happy and groomed!

I recently got a green cheek conure. Had him for about 5 days now. Started off a little bumpy testing boundaries. Now were best friends. The staff was so helpful in every way. Now my baby always wants to be with me. Still testing some boundaries, but i couldnt be happier..

My go to parrot supply shop. Im not big on breeding birds but they do a good job at placing birds in forever homes rather than just making sales. I often go for roudybush, treats and toys. They have a great selection of cages and play stands as well! Plus the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful!

The employees were very attentive and managed to help everyone in the store before they got to me. I adopted a sweet and tame Red Factor Sun Conure in a matter of a 15 minutes. I could tell quick my new friend had been handled with care. What I paid for ended up being worth it in this case. I will be coming back :)

Parrots Cove has been our go-to shop for supplies and toys for our birds. They have a huge variety of reasonably-priced toys and it is so much better to see and touch the toys than trying to shop online. Weve found good deals on stands and even some lightly used items. Generally, the staff has been very helpful and courteous. We havent bought a bird here yet but would feel totally confident on the health of a young bird from Parrots Cove.

I recently brought home a 9 month old Quaker parrot from the store. This little guy is very sweet and quiet. The birds are hand raised so they do not bite once you pick them up.The only strange thing about this Quaker is that he perfectly mimics the sun conures. His cage was right next door to a couple of conures. Lol!Rocky has completed bloodwork and all signs point to a healthy bird. He is not lacking any vitamins or nutrients since he was well taken care of by the staff at the store.I would recommend this store for anyone looking into bringing home their first bird. There’s a lot of care that goes into raising them one you bring them home.

They are super knowledgeable. They care for all the birds. They shower them with so much love then when you take your bird(s) home they are gentle as can be. They take good care of all of the birds there. Super nice staff, quality service. I recommend this shop to anyone, its that good!!!

I am purchasing an eclectus from this place and they go out of their way to make sure that everyone sanitizes their hands before handling the birds and you can tell that theyve developed a wonderful relationship with him while they are hand feeding him and getting him mature enough to be able to come home with me. They have a wide array of birds and have a really good reputation in the bird Community which I found comforting.

I must say Im very excited to see if I get hired here. I asked in and was automatically welcomes at the person at the front desk I only met two staff members today but they both seem very friendly. I automatically noticed that the birds were talking and seeing which I really did enjoy to hear. It was very clean and neat and I would hope to make a great addition to the team it looks very laid back and organized. I was also surprised to see the variety of birds there I really enjoyed what I seen. I cant wait to hear back from the manager! Even if I dont get hired I cant wait to go back again.

Super kind employees and very knowledgeable. They were able to explain to me the differences between birds and gave me different options that fit my lifestyle better. They convinced me to get a green cheek conure instead of the sun conure I wanted. They knew it was a good $200 price difference and that they would lose that money but they wanted to make sure I got a bird suitable for me and the bird. Definitely recommend.

GREAT PLACE recommend getting a pet bird from here. The birds here are taken care of so well. There are so many toys, cages, food options, and perches. There are so many options of birds and theres a bird that fits every family at parrots cove.

Very impersonal towards us. Customer service could be trained up a bit. Instead of saying, Ill ask you not to touch the birds! how about, please be careful because the birds may bite, however we can show you any bird you might be interested in. or we dont want the birds getting sick so please dont touch the babies. Also, it was hard to see where the register even is. We walked in and heard someone randomly greet us from behind a counter at the back of the store. My husband asked how much a scarlet macaw was and the price ran us off really quick. For $3800 I could have a parrot flown in from Florida and still have money left. Not a good experience at this place at all.

Love this place! My daughter is getting a cockatiel from A Parrots Cove. They are the most helpful and nice people. Every week, we go to visit the baby and they treat us so good. They know exactly who we are when we go to visit. Always greet everyone that comes in with a smile. They keep it clean and they know their birds.

Lovely, neat and clean shop!Needed some advice on one of my canaries that is a bit under the weather and the young woman who helped me was great. It was clear she was knowledgable even though they dont have canaries. Her advice was simple, direct and she was professional and pleasant. I was in and out with her efficient help. If you have birds, visit them!

My absolute favorite bird store! I went and visited my baby whiteface cockatiel almost every day for about 2 months until I could take him home. Their customer service is amazing and if you have any questions about birds, they have the answer! Very clean, but has a slight bird smell when you walk in (but that is to be expected). They have a large variety of food and toys. And the birds are very well taken care of.

I saw the picture on the parrot’s cove Facebook page posted last June...also, there appeared to be a pearly conure with some red on its wings, is that one available?

Definitely recommend this place. The staff were very kind and sweet and expertly went through the basics of bird ownership as well as assisting me set up the cage. This made adopting my 3 month old cockatiel a very enjoyable experience. Their birds are in great condition and their prices are very reasonable.

I have been trying to inquire about a yellow headed parrot and cost. I have emailed and called and no luck. Im trying to buy my mom one cause the one she had was stolen from her home. But nope no answer in any form.

This is the best place for hand raised parrots. You get what you pay for. They are experts in this store and after going all over texas this is now my go to for my birds. There is a lot of labor to raise a bird by hand and it really pays off.

This is the place to buy a bird or any accessories. As messy as birds can be, every time I go in here its spic and span...how do they do it? LOL I am in the process of buying a Rose Breasted Cockatoo and the owner Andrea updates me on the progress of the babies every week and sends me pictures of them. Every one who works there spends time answering all your questions and believe me I have had 100 questions since Im new to owning birds. Love this place....highly recommended!

Brought my parrot in for a grooming and had a really nice experience! Staff was really friendly and knowledgeable and everything took less than 10 minutes.

The staff have always been friendly and helpful to us when we visit. We havent purchased a bird from them as we already have an Amazon. We do buy toys and parts for our amazon there. We also bought a playstand for her there and the staff was very helpful in educating us on the best size. The store is always clean and the birds seem to be well taken care of.
