TL;DR - You wont find a better shop as a GT-R owner. The quality and commitment to their work is second to none, and they make sure you’re happy before you walk out the door with their product.Longer version –It’s going to be difficult to say enough good things about these guys. My GT-R started as a tame, stock machine before I worked with The Shop and they were able to take exactly what I wanted and make it a reality. I wanted a more visceral car than I went in with, with reasonable power levels while maintaining solid reliability as a daily cruiser or cross-country rally car. A little different goal than most GT-R owners, with high-power drag cars being all the rage these days, but these guys were without a doubt up to the challenge.From the exceptional installation work to the meticulous procurement of only the best, most trusted parts in the industry, The Shop impresses me at every level. Whether it was an Ecutek tune that would control the entirety of how the car behaved at a mechanical level to the carbon fiber body parts, The Shop consistently takes the extra step to make sure everything is perfect and exactly to your design.David, Vaughn, Kaina, and all the guys at The Shop are just a blast to work with, and you can definitely tell that your satisfaction is important to them. The community that follows the sale is worth mentioning, as these guys treat you like family and The Shop Experience doesn’t end when you drive out of the garage. The review is 4 stars because of the quality of the original work, it was not the usual standard for this shop as I was not satisfied after experiencing some issues upon return. I was contacted by Kaina who helped resolve some issues and I have been reimbursed. The customer service at the shop is very good and the employees take pride in their work.

The Shop Houston has a solid reputation among the GTR community and I experienced first-hand their phenomenal customer service and professionalism. I needed hep diagnosing an issue with my 96 Honda Civic and they were able to identify the issue and get my car running again the same day. While they typically work on vehicles worth 10x the value of my car, they consistently treated me with the same quality as anyone else!

Had problems after a routine service and the people at The Shop Houston went far above and beyond to remedy the issue. By far the best customer service I have ever experienced with a automotive performance and service shop.Thanks Guys.

By far one of the best places to take your car. Excellent Customer service and very professional. Took my 370z to have HFCs installed, side skirt splitter and a oil change. Great environment....you can tell everyone there takes pride in the work they do. Definitely going back for future projects. Highly recommended!!!

These guys not only know everything, inside and out, about GT-Rs but the treat you like you are family ...... and not the crappy family that you dont want to see but are forced to ..... but like one of their favorite relatives that they actually care about! I own a 2012 GTR. I tried another local place known for boosted car work. I did not have a good experience. Then I tried the Shop! Night and day difference. David and Vaughn are amazing. Their pride in customer service is evident. They fixed my car which had a intermittent and difficult to diagnose issue. Then they added a flex fuel kit and a custom tune. I couldn’t be happier with the results! Furthermore, they treat you like they are happy to have you there, unlike some other shops I’ve been to. Again, I love the Shop. I highly recommend them! Ted

I had a wonderful experience at The Shop. As a woman who doesnt have a lot of background knowledge about cars, I have always felt like other car places have tried to talk me into fixing things that dont need it, buying things I dont need, etc. The Shop changed all of that for me. They made me feel very comfortable and did not try to talk me into anything. The owner, David was very knowledgeable and made the experience very pleasant! I have taken my car to The Shop to have an evaluation and to get some work done. What I got in return wasnt just an automotive repair experience. Even with a phone call from dry I found these guys great. I own a HR31 and bounced several questions off them regarding parts and registration. They were happy to answer every question and from an enthusiast point of view as well. Definitely recommended!!

I own a 2009 R35 GT-R with about 15,500 miles now in Jan 2018.I needed a shop to do the 18000-mile maintenance (transmission fluid, differential fluid, engine oil, coolant flush, brake flush, etc.) and replace tires.I found the Shop Houston by Google search and read very positive reviews about it.I am always a picky and careful person, with poor experience from other places previously. I went to the Shop Houston to check it out and gave it a try. I met the owner David and the team. He went over the history of his company and his team. I immediately noticed how knowledgeable, passionate, and enthusiastic they are truly with the generations of GT-Rs and heavily modded Japanese cars. For example, they are capable of swapping engines among different cars and making a 2500-hp race GT-R. The atmosphere is really relaxing. It’s like the heaven of GT-Rs. I felt very impressed right away with this place that I can trust.David and the team gave me great advices about the choice of tires and parts based on my driving habits. Since it was a Saturday appointment, they managed to accompany me most of the time, which allowed me to stay close with my car as much as possible, and went over the maintenance procedures and the parts/fluids to be used, which truly made me so relieved and worriless that my car would be taken great care of.They even have an experienced Japanese mechanic, who did this 18000-mile maintenance for my GT-R. He was very detailed and cautious in every step (the Japanese style that reminded me of a sushi chef making sushi), taking time to drain/flush the fluids, removing/install the under panels, etc. What else can I ask for? I’m so blessed to have these guys available in the Houston area to support my GT-R maintenance and potential future modification.The Google reviews are absolutely true. They are not an average shop with the attitude of hiding stuffs behind the closed doors, cutting corners, and just making money. They are professional and big on transparency. They have the mindset of understanding what the customers need, making practical assessment of what we really should have, communicating with us clearly for what they are going to work on, and taking a big step forward to work with us.I really had fun and enjoyed hanging out with these guys over there. Sent Kaina an email regarding an issue with my 2017 WRX. He quickly gave me suggestions, helped me research, and helped with the shipping process. I have only spoken to Kaina, but I imagine that his crew is just as welcoming and helpful as Kaina was. You guys are the most HONEST technicians that Ive spoken to. These guys will prioritize customer service and will help save money.

I looked for a shop to tune my 2018 WRX STI for a while and was directed to Kozmic. I bought my AP from them and had an odd experience from a customer service standpoint but everyone vouched for them so I reached out for a quote to have some parts installed and a pro tune. At the suggestion of a good friend I also hit up The Shop Houston for a quote. Not only did The Shop Houston get back to me in a timely manner, but they made me feel like family. I spoke at great length with both Kaina and Vaughn about the path I wanted to take with my car and they were very upfront and honest with me. They told me what their biggest suggestions were and even told me some of my plan was unnecessary for my end goals. The fact they talked me out of spending money I was going to spend because it wasnt necessary shows just how customer focused they are. They showed me around their shop and told me about each car they were currently working on and I met some of the other customers as well. As far as the tuning is concerned, Keith from AWDtuning in Dallas entrusts the shop to partner with his shop for Subaru tuning. That says everything I need to know right there. Keith dialed in my tune and was very thorough to the point he had me test drive the car and give my input and he tweaked it because he thought he could make it a little more precise. While waiting on some final adjustments there were other customers there that shared their experiences and projects with The Shop Houston with me. After everything was done, Vaughn made sure to see me off and invite me to come by any time to hang out and reminded me that I was a part of their family now. When I told him I would see him again in a few weeks when I have more parts to add and to refine the tune he told me, “Man, come by before then and just hang out with us, I mean that.” The Shop Houston exceeded my expectations and earned my business from Kozmic which I was actually only a few days away from pursuing. Any shop can install parts and have a quality tuner. However, this type of business isnt just about what you can do under a hood. The Shop Houston beats out the competition under the hood and face to face in customer service. 10/10 and I will definitely be back once I have my next set of mods to install as well as any time I just want to be around a great set of gearheads and talk shop. Thanks!!!!
