I had a fantastic experience with them for the 9 months leading up to my wedding. The place is so classy and the attendants are so helpful and friendly, and really listen to help you find whatever will make your wedding dress & accessories perfect for your special day. I got my dress, headpiece, and jewelry there. They have a beautiful selection and have their own alterations lady which they get you set up with. I highly recommend them to any bride!
I came into Houston Bridal Gallery recently and was so impressed by what they have to offer. The flower wall and I said yes to the dress photo op is a great addition to make the memory a more magical experience. Spencer gave great customer service at the front desk and was nothing short of kind. I have also had the opportunity to speak with Robyn, the owner and have had a great experience working with Houston Bridal Gallery overall. Would recommend!
Didnt find the one here but everyone was so great at this shop. They have cozy fitting rooms and my small group was very comfortable. Every gown was gorgeous and in my price range, I was just looking for something a little less conventional. When we left, a big group was trying on bridesmaids dresses and it looked like they had a good selection of those too.
I did not get my dress here but I just wanted to shout out Natalie and the owner Robyn for a great shopping experience! This salon is very nice with great options and varies styles for plus size brides! I really enjoyed my appointment and although I wasn’t able to find what I was looking for at this location- I would recommend all bride to take a look at this salon. The set up is very nice- not crowded and over done. And both Natalie and Robyn were just rock stars in listening to me and helping find the type of dress I was looking for. I would also say they are very reasonable priced as well which is a big win for us brides! Thanks again for a great experience!
I didn’t have an appointment as I am a procrastinator. I walked in not expecting much help. The store is beautiful and intimateMelissa helped me so much. She’s sweet and not pushy. The owner Robyn was very welcoming and took my measurements and created a profile for me.They worked me in even though I had no appointment. I’ve just started the process of looking for a dress and totally recommend this store. Great location and beautiful dresses!!!Ask for Melissa if you make an appointment.
I have no words to thanks Robyn and her staff. They make me feel so special and they dedicated all their time on me. No all stores take care of the brides as Houston Bridal Gallery does. This store is UNIQUE!!!I totally recommend it, you are going to love to be there. Robyn you are AWESOME!!! Aileen you are the BEST, your patience and tips helps a lot :)Many thanks for helping me on finding THE dress!!
Amy was amazing in helping me find my dream dress. Awesome experience and lovely staff, making my journey to find the perfect dress an unforgettable day. Thank you to all the lovely staff!
I absolutely loved this place! Although I did not purchase my dress from this bridal shop it was still an amazing experience! HBG had an amazing selection to choose from, and the staff was so friendly. Karen made things so much easier for me! I was nervous because it was the second place I had been to. The previous bridal shop was an odd experience so when I went into HBG I had the expectation of it being the same. I was completely proven wrong and I would definitely recommend this place to others. Big thank you to Karen for making my experience so memorable! She went above and beyond!
If you decide to make an appointment at Houston Bridal Gallery ask for Megan! She was a superstar. She was super sweet, listened to what I wanted and made great suggestions. Consider Houston Bridal Gallery a must stop in your wedding shop experience!I think I went to every store in Houston and the surrounding area. All stores had a great selection of dresses and were really sweet and helpful (except AMORE bridal also known as The Bridal Depot)
This place is a hidden gem! I called around to several places in Houston, but the price range was quite high for boutiques in the loop. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Houston Bridal Gallery had many options for gowns in my price range. The staff was sweet and accommodating, and I ended up finding four different gowns that I would have been very happy with. Of course, one of them won out, and it was an easy process to order. It came in early, and I did alterations there at the boutique. They stored the gown, spot cleaned it for only $35 after my portraits, and steamed it at no cost after my final fitting. I plan on taking it there for preservation as well. The atmosphere was wonderful, not crowded or loud, very tastefully decorated, and spacious. I ended up buying my guest pen, garter, and hair piece there as well. They had many options for shoes and jewelry, and the attendant helped me pick the perfect veil to match my dress.Highly recommend it!
Absolutely love this place. Everyone is very kind and helpful. Really love Dana and Robyn they are the absolute best! This is the best dress shop I have been to and will always recommend. Love love love this place!
I didn’t come in expecting to buy a dress today, but Leslie found me a dress so perfect I couldn’t refuse! She saw my Pinterest board and brought a dress that had everything I was looking for in a dress and didn’t imagine could find in a single dress. She also was extremely helpful and accommodating and didn’t pressure me; she made a shopping experience I was nervous about actually enjoyable!I had other bridal appointments to keep, but the value and quality Houston Bridal Gallery had made even more expensive dresses at other places seem underwhelming. I am so happy I bought my dress here.
Elyssabeth was amazing. She had the toughest a job to do because I had no idea what I wanted and she helped me find the style that I love and flatters me . I recommend her to anyone !
They require an appointment to be made, which I appreciate. Their selection is limited so I would recommend looking at what designers they currently have online to see if they have anything you may want to try. My experience was fine, didnt find a dress I liked but they were very pleasant.
Everyone at Houston Bridal Gallery is so friendly!! Robyn, the owner, is amazing and went so far above and beyond to help me find my dress! She was so helpful with tips and information; she truly does her best to make sure her brides find the dress of their dreams! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Everyone at HBG is amazing!!!
Amazing team that creates a warm, lovely experience for the bride and family. Professional and genuine. We could not be happier!!
It is a small bridal boutique, but it is PERFECT. The girls are amazing and the experience itself is really something I will never forget. My dress was within my budget and it is so incredibly beautiful. My wedding is on 12/31/13 and I can not wait to wear my stunning gown.Thank you HBG for an incredible experience and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for their wedding gown.
To be honest, this was my third appointment of the day with no luck at the other two, so I was going in with low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by the chic, casual atmosphere. Leslie was my consultant and she was amazing! Very knowledgeable about the dresses and helped me to figure out the perfect dress (also with some much appreciated advice from the owner). HBG has a great selection of gowns in all sorts of sizes.
This place is perfect. A truly relaxed and stress free environment. I bought my wedding dress here and couldnt be happier. Customer service was absolutely amazing, the dresses are gorgeous. The entire process was smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend going here!
Such a wonderful and intimate experience!! Thank you Megan!!! Found the perfect dress and had great help
My baby sister is getting married and found the dress of her dreams at Houston Bridal Gallery! We had 2 appointments at other bridal shops and after much frustration (sample dresses they carried were too small to try on for slightly curvier girls) we stumbled upon this little bridal boutique. We did not have an appointment, but they still accommodated us and were absolutely wonderful and professional and caring towards my sister. The owner helped us and so did her wonderful Admin Assistant (they were THAT busy!).She said YES to the dress!!! I highly recommend this little gem of a boutique.
Let me start by saying, had I written this review following my initial experience, it would have been 5-stars. But, following the first visit, in which I found my dream dress, the customer service took a nose dive, and here are those details. The first visit, as I said, was one for the books. My best friend attended the appointment with me, and I had such an amazing experience with my stylist. I had been to quite a few wedding dress shops previously, and I had narrowed down my dress dreams to one particular designer, and one particular dress, which they had! I fell in love, took photos, purchased the dress, and it felt like a fairy tell! The staff was so kind, offering us mimosas, and providing helpful feedback to help me make my decision. Plus, they were having a trunk sale for my particular designer - so buying it was a no brainer.Unfortunately, following the initial appointment where I purchased my dress, we were not treated with such kindness at the boutique. Firstly, at my bridesmaid dress appointment the stylist was extremely rude to one of my bridesmaids, and stated that she couldnt start pulling dresses to try until I got there - even though this was the 3rd appointment of our day, and she had a perfect understanding of what I was looking for - far superior to that of the stylist, which I had one conversation with. Additionally, I wanted to make the experience for my girls just as special as my first appointment was - I asked for mimosas, and was told those were not allowed to be served to bridesmaid dress appointments, solely brides were allowed to partake in toasting, which was bizarre and ridiculous. So, needless to say, despite the fact that I bought my dress at this boutique, and my girls would have received a discount to purchase from the same establishment, we decided to go elsewhere.Initially, when I purchased my dress, I was told that if I purchased 4-in heels, I would not need a hem, which would save me major money for alterations. I bought the shoes, but when my dress came in, it was about 2 inches too tall, so I not only purchased an unnecessary pair of shoes, but I had to pay for a hem on a lace dress. For alterations, I would suggest doing your research. The in-house seamstress was very nice, but quoted me nearly the price of my entire wedding dress for the alterations. I was able to go elsewhere and get everything for around the price their seamstress was going to charge me to do the hem, which I was told I would not need.Try-on appointments were underwhelming, and I needed to order buttons for my dress from the designer. They arrived in pretty reasonable time, but when my seamstress sewed them on, they were so poorly made and constructed that the lace covered buttons, which I paid upwards of $70 for mind you, were separating from the silver backing, which was sewn to my dress. When I was being very delicate during my try-on, 5 buttons popped right off - just by walking to the platform and back. I brought my dress back to Houston Bridal Gallery be cleaned and pressed, 3 days earlier than I was supposed to, and when I went to pick it up, on the agreed upon day, it was not done. It was overlooked. I went on Thursday, and was supposed to leave for my wedding on Saturday. And not only was it not cleaned, the buttons were not fixed by their seamstress - again due to the overlooking. Originally, they stated the earliest it could be done was Saturday, but they thankfully were able to complete the repairs earlier than anticipated after my initial displeasure was communicated, and everything turned out okay. Only one button popped off during my wedding day.Overall, if this boutique has the dress designer of your dreams, I would go for it. I would not have been happy going with a different dress in order to avoid this boutique, which was unfortunately, the only one in the area to sell the particular designer. But, expect to be treated well on your first appointment, and prepare for that to change drastically for your appointments following.
Nice facilities, can accommodate a sizable group for shopping. Very friendly as well.
I booked this place for an appointment along with other two places on the same day...this was going to be my second stop for bridal gown shopping however I ended up finding my dress on the first place I stopped so I called Houston Bridal to cancel my appointment with them 2 hrs in advance and got charged 50 dollars just for canceling my appointment on time!!! Bc I had found THE dress somewhere else...I thought this was very unfair bc I see it as a way of getting money from you regardless....it’s nit like I did a no call no show which I would have understood a little better...but I told them ahead of time and they still charged me...other places would charge only if I didn’t show up not for a cancellation properly done...please go somewhere else to find a dress and not to a place that will charge you just for canceling...how in the world was I going to know that I would find my perfect dress on my first stop before them!!!
I had an absolute WONDERFUL experience at Houston Bridal Gallery, and I have been in the wedding industry for years, so I was a little worried going into it. Jessie was my consultant, and she had so much knowledge about all of the gowns, and accesories in the store. She was not pushy at all, and helped keep the moms all agreeing and happy the whole time as well. I purchased my dress on this same day, and I will be going back to them for all of my bridesmaids dresses, and accessories. I havent had the best experience at other bridal stores, but Houston Bridal made myself, and my family feel right at home! I felt like I had friends helping me out. Also, the price ranges of dresses are all very reasonable, and Jessie helped me stay right on budget! That was the experience I was dreaming about as a bride, they have taken care of any of my worries! If you want the right experience going through this process as a bride, let Houston Bridal Gallery take care of you!
I went to this store on the recommendation of one of my bridesmaids who had also purchased their dress here and the store itself is beautiful! All of the dress specialists are so happy and sweet! The dress prices are on par or are under other stores prices (I compared)! I bought my Essense of Australia dress here and the specialist even helped me realize that the dresss straps could be removed to make the dress strapless and I feel in love with it that way! I basically got a custom and unique dress because of them! They included a sweet hangar with my future last name on it and included a free pressing! I recommend all brides go here! My experience was perfect!
After calling to confirm that this store had a specific dress that I wanted to try on, I scheduled an appointment to try it on. My mom drove in from Dallas and several friends spent their Saturday driving from all over to come with me to try on THE dress! When I arrived, they had pulled something out that looked nothing like the dress I had requested. It was the same designer, but not the correct dress. The salesperson was very rude and insisted that this is the dress I wanted, even though I pulled up the designers website with the correct dress and name to show her what the dress looks like. They obviously do not even know their own inventory, which is terrifying. Huge waste of all of our time. I tried on a couple other dresses, but the consultant basically just told me to take a look around to see if there is anything I like. She offered no advice or suggestions. Horrible experience compared to everywhere else I went.
Terrible service. I purchased a wedding gown and top from them. One of the sales associates guaranteed that the top to my wedding gown would arrive on time. One day before my wedding the top had not yet arrived. The owner lied to me, had an attitude about the situation even after spending more than $1700 at the store and at the end of day I ended up having to use the used display top from their store because the top I paid for didn’t arrive on time for my wedding. The owner refuse to give me a discount after all this debacle. I should mention that i ordered the top well in advance 2 months prior to the wedding. It wasn’t a last minute thing.
I met my friend here to shop for her wedding dress a couple weeks ago. The ladies were very helpful and made sure my friend did not feel rushed or overwhelmed. They have a great dress selection for brides as well as bridesmaids. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!
If you’re apart of the KKK then this is the place for you... This place is the most racist establishment I have ever been to in my entire life. I came in and they didn’t show me nor my party around... they pretty much let me find my own way around the shop I also had guests with me and every time we talk the whole entire room got quite which was filled with nothing but white American women... I watched how the staff gave great customer service to a walk-in that walked in right after me ... which they were all white... it’s just sad that it’s people in the world like this, places of business like this when all you want to do is find the perfect dress for the perfect day...if you’re NOT WHITE PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS RACIST PLACE... I mean come on every review is from a WHITE WOMEN it’s no other race but WHITE ... and their dresses looked used... basically a wedding Goodwill shop
This was a lovely boutique with a very friendly and attentive staff!
Love the selection they have! The ladies working here are nice & very hepful as well.
So far my experience at HBG has been nothing short of spectacular. I have a rather large wedding party, but they have been very patient and accommodating at all of my appointments. I initially worked with the owner, Robin, who helped me bring my style dreams to life.My bridal party is all different sizes, shapes, and shades of beautiful and we were able to find a collection that brought out everyones style and personality. I am so happy I chose them thus far. It brings me to tears every time I think about how AMAZING my ladies are going to slay on my wedding day.
Loved shopping at Houston BG. We found THE DRESS! The staff is so helpful and enthusiastic. The store is so beautiful and made my daughter feel like a princess shopping for her gown. I highly recommend HBG!
Had the pleasure of meeting Robyn and her staff. This is the place you need to go if you want a wedding dress!
This is a wonderful place! I didnt have an appointment but had just come from a very disappointing session elsewhere and with no expectations we walked in. My mother, sisters, and I were treated like royalty. They found room for us, brought us drinks, and were nothing but amazing. Neecie (sp?) helped us initially and though she is not an official consultant she did a great job. After Robyn took over I found the dress of my dreams and what started out as a wedding hellscape turned into a very happy day--everything I could wish for as a bride. About the dress--if you are not a size 6 they actually have gorgeous dresses you can try on in the store and see what they look like rather than ordering something in your size after holding a tiny doll dress in front of you and hoping it looks as good as your imagination.
HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I am a bridesmaid for a wedding and had to go this store because of the dress that was chosen for us. When I went in to be measured in August, I just had a baby (via emergency c-section) and it was the latest time I could go and order my dress. When I pulled up, there were no other customers there and the 2 girls at the front desk see me struggling to bring in my child (and his Cadillac of a stroller) and didnt even bother to open the door for me. Then she measured me and told me since I was in between sizes, I should order the biggest size I measured, which was a 24!! It had only been 6 weeks since I gave birth, so of course I was expecting to be bigger (normally, Im a 14-16), but NOT A 24! Then she told me it would be an additional cost for the big size and another additional cost for extra length (because Im a giant at 57). When I told her that I am losing weight and would probably go down in size by December, she told me Well, what if youre working out and you break your leg or sprain your ankle, you wont be able to lose the weight and youll be stuck . . . WHAT? I work in customer service and this was just INCREDIBLY STUPID of her to say to a customer, especially one who just had their 1st baby and is trying to stay calm. Needless to say, I drove home crying after that. Fast forward to November, and I go to pick up the dress, I ask to try it on there and they look at me like I asked for a free dress, then put me in a dressing room to hurry up and try it on. When I do, I can slip the entire thing over my head (something that I feared would happen) and when I tried to ask for assistance, no one wanted to help, and when they finally did all they wanted to do was charge me MORE to remove the fabric I told them would be an issue. All in all, if you can avoid purchasing ANYTHING BRIDAL here, please do! Their service sucks, their lack of seamstress knowledge is atrocious. I got married in 2010 and I went to many dress shops all over town to find my dress and my bridesmaids dresses. Let me assure you that you can find the same items at this store anywhere else in Houston for a way better price and experience. Stay far, far away from the buzz killing ladies of this place if at all possible.
The employees are racist. They only talk to people who look rich and are white. I went there 2 times, and both times they did not even greet me or ask me for help. I also saw they didnt even speak to another Hispanic girl. That is such bad service. Horrible.
After a less-than-satisfactory experience at a different bridal shop, I came to Houston Bridal Gallery and all of my wedding dress shopping concerns were lifted! Gaby was my consultant and she made me feel soooo comfortable and beautiful. She described each section of dresses and what style they usually catered to.... I was able to try on several dresses and ended up finding 4 dresses that I really loved for different reasons. The store was very cute, has a mirror in front of the window to be able to see your look in natural light, and was not overly busy. I left the store convinced that I would be back to buy my dress, but I wanted to think overnight, look at pics, and go to a few more places. After some good experiences and not-so-good experiences in Houston, I came back with a totally different idea of what I wanted in a dress and Gaby went back to square zero with no complaints and after about 5 dresses we found THE dress and I could not be happier! Several of the dresses I did have to squeeze into and Gaby did not make me feel horrible about that at all, even when one of the seams ripped or when my big butt was showing! She listened to what I wanted and made it work. She also helped make the entire experience fun and relaxed. She also helped me look at ideas for my veil and hair piece so that I knew exactly which type I would want. After reading the bad reviews that have been left, I cannot fathom that their service would vary THAT much. Complaints about appointment times... most bridal shops need appointments a week or two in advance and that should be expected, plus if they let everyone book appointments whenever they want it would mean an over-crowded shop and a not-so-nice experience for brides and bridesmaids. Complaints about rudeness.... I cant speak for the other consultants but definitely not Gaby. One recommendation I have is to go in and set expectations for how you wish to be treated, not that Gaby needed any guidance. Because of my first horrible experience at the other shop, I knew I didnt want to feel like that again so my MOH had got there early and told them exactly what I didnt like from the other experience.
My sister (the bride) and I went to HBG for my maid of honor dress. We found one that we liked and I was measured and told that I needed to buy a size 22 dress because of my largest area (my hips) and that it was an extra charge to expedite the shipping since we needed it in 2 months (ridiculous). A dress that was priced at $180 ended up being $280 plus because of these fees. When I finally got my dress it looked so ugly. Definitely not worth almost $300. The dress fit like a BAG and was completely unwearable. I did not lose weight. Of course they wanted me to use their seamstress and assured me that it was completely normal for it to look that way. My mother in law ended up fixing my dress and it turns out that dress was not even seamed. She cut off so much fabric that the dress ended up a size 12 (my dress size). We paid just to have to work more ourselves. I am SURE that this is a scam that HBG does to make more money for themselvesBesides this, their appointment process is ridiculous as they pretend to be busier than they really are. We were fit in to a busy wedding season weekday evening appointment for one dress, only to find that the boutique was empty, we were the only ones there.Do not go to Houston Bridal Gallery.
Fantastic, every expected bride needs to explore
Beautiful dresses with great selection and staff!
This place is unique, cozy and elegant! Their wedding gown are beutiful and the whole staff made me feel comfortable, they helped me figure out what style it was perfect for me and i end up buying this beautiful essense of australia wedding gown. I cant wait to wear it on my wedding! Thank you very much.
Beautiful gowns, great customer service!!!! Couldnt ask for a better experience.
The owners name is Robin (ahem something) says she has been in the business for 10 year. Well if this is true why does your customer service SUCK! We make an appointment to go be fitted for a brides maid dress my sister has already selected.1) I dont try on any dress2) It takes months for it to arrive (Oct 12 to Jan. 13)3) I get kicked out of the dressing area because a bride is here4) I have to order a size too big because they come in small sizes5) I will automatically need an alteration but this is not included in the prize6) I cannot come on Saturday to try on a dress because they are already bookedI do not recommend this bridal store to anybody. There are plenty of other places that would die for your business and not charge you extra. Im just going to pick up my dress and take it to someone I know does excellent work with alterations. BUT first I have to make sure that nobody has an accident because before I pick it up on Saturday.
Terrible service, when they measured me the consultant said i was a size 0 but the smallest size was a 2 so she ordered that for me. When the dress came in it was way too small and I had not gained any weight. They said they had let go of the consultant but that it was my choice to order the dress in that size; Ridiculous! They made me go in multiple times to measure me to make sure they didnt mess up when they had. Even though I had told them I was a student and worked therefore it was very hard for me to keep driving hours to see them. They told me it was mandatory to come in and when I did they just kept making comments that it was MY fault because I chose the size. I have no idea how dress sizing works, my cousin who was also a bridesmaid was recommended to go up a size and her dress was falling off her because it was way too huge they made her spend almost $100-200 extra. It was terrible, so stressful, service was really not helpful and not worth it.
**Not the easiest person to please and overall I had a great experience with Houston Bridal Gallery!** It’s OK to have high expectations, right? Their boutique is so cute, very cozy and quaint. I went to a ton of high-end bridal boutiques all over Houston and San Antonio and felt most comfortable here. (Truth be told, I actually tried on over 80 dresses between 6 different appointments…Crazy, I know. ) The girls at Houston Bridal Gallery didn’t pressure me or act too pretentious. I didn’t have a “budget,” I was just looking for the right dress. They’re very much “with it” with the styles and trends of brides today. When making appointments, they were very accommodating. Every bride needs to understand these places are busy and book up quickly. I was more than satisfied with my appointment times and dates. They ALWAYS call to confirm your appointment the day before which is a nice reminder. Alterations: I LOVED CiCi! That little seamstress is worth her weight in gold… My mother was a very very meticulous seamstress and the fact that CiCi’s work pleased my mother was very impressive. Because I grew up watching a woman who was very good at sewing and altering, I had pretty high expectations and was asking her to do A LOT of very tedious work. In the beginning I know she thought I was out of my mind because I ordered extra lace, changed the entire neckline (front and back), lowered the back, added tool around the bottom of the dress so it would lay better, and used extra lace to make me a false back that snapped on and off because I was getting married in a very strict catholic church. She did So much work to my dress to make it exactly how I wanted it. In the end she was so happy and proud of it.. She was so sweet! I got more compliments on my dress than you can imagine… annnd I continue to get them! It was absolutely perfect in every way. I found a gorgeous dress, it came in sooner than later, they did everything I asked, the girls were very sweet, even when I wasn’t..haha. Wedding stress, y’all! What more can you ask for.. :)
Their dresses are really unique and you can find them anywhere elase in Houston.Staff is very helful and theri place is very cute and overally I am glad that I chose this place.I love my dress and in my wedding everybody asked me where did i buy it.
5 star service! Always
I dont even know where to get started about my experience. When we went in to get our dresses and the sizing came up they told me to order a dress two sizes bigger than a dress I had bought last year after losing 15 pounds. When I took my dress to get altered at another alterations location they had to take in 2 inches in on both sides. They were not helpful in anyways just trying to oversize so they can get your money on alterations. So day of the wedding came and all of the bridesmaids dresses tore before we even made it down the isle. I would never recommend anyone going to Houston Bridal Gallery over priced dresses that tear before the big event. Not classy if you are going to charge what you charge you need to make sure the quality matches the price. Which ours did not. Very disgusted in the product and the service
Great staff and my dress is perfect!!!
You have a better chance to make your own dress then deal with incompetent staff and management.
Nice place, little selection
Great dresses, wonderful service
It was bad experience ever. Waited about 30 minutes and the service is bad too. Do not go this place!
