Davis Meat Market Im so disappointed . I paid Mr.Davis for 30lbs of Chitterlings without Hog Maw .I informed Mr.Davis NO HOG MAW .. He wrote on my receipt NO HOG MAW . When I open my containers they were full of HOG MAW !! There was only 1 cup full of Chitterlings . My husband and I love to support a African Americans Business. But not one who is riping people off.

Don’t waste your drive, or your money on the cracklings they were horrible they weren’t fresh7 days a week

I have been a fan of this family owned business for years. Mr. Davis, his wife (rest in peace), their son (also my accountant) offer excellent service, quality meats, and superb catering preparations. They care and it shows in the finished product. Best ribs and sausage in town!

I will say the meat market part looked fine but the steamtable was not up to par. I was going to chance it until I saw the guy pull a spoon with food already on it from a pan. He then placed 1 spoon of greens and yams on the plate with some weird looking beef tips. I said no thank you and left. Sir please stick to selling uncooked meat.

This owner is the most rude employer and his customer service is. _0,%. Not to mention that is prices are Waaaaaaay to hich. Its time for the owner to call it a season!!!!

Got the privilege to meet Mr.Davis personally what a great man the food was excellent too nothing like home cooking.....

These people sold me bad meat i spent $105 and had to throw all the meat away im still upset about it.

Poor customer service over the phone. Not very personable or helpful. Solely based on that I will be taking my business elsewhere.

The place ok..just not active with customers. The owner was really cool though. Cracklins are sold here and other food as well, like bbq. Just got some cracklins. Pretty tasty, I must say.

I love shopping here always satisfied and certainly get my money worth. Great seletion of prime meat!!

Davis Meat Market has great Louisiana style cracklins here in Houston. I really liked the cracklins and the smoked chicken and the great prices. Davis also has steak cuts, sausage and boudin. I have not tried the sausage or boudin, I would expect they both would be as good as the cracklins.

Should have got a clue what was to come after I had to be buzzed in. The place was a dump. Sparse product, dark and dingy look, and a steam table that looked like its better days were long past. Ordered a chop beef sandwich. The guy, who I suspect was the owner, pulled a piece of meat from a tub sitting in a shopping basket behind the line and went into another portion of the store where I couldnt see. At that point, I knew this was not going to turn out well as being food service certified in Houston, hes already broken several rules for handling and serving food.chop...chop...chop....and a few minutes later, he came from out back with my sandwich wrapped in foil and put it in plastic bag.Out in the car, terribly disappointed as the sandwich was cold and dry. This place will never see me again.
