Every year I visit Houston with my granddaughter in tow to see my nieces. It’s always a treat to visit the Houston American girl store. The service and inventory is wonderful and now the Bistro has a new menu which is delicious! Love the chicken salad! Between the store in the bistro it’s always a pleasant experience. With a group of girls that all relatives and don’t get to see each other often it’s a welcomed bonding experience.#

I used to work at this shop, it was entertaining and agreeable, yes it was. The employees were delightful and the children/customers were adorable. During the Christmas Holiday, Mattel was generous enough to reward its employees with a special AG Doll and its yearly holiday Barbie, and maybe other goodies. Management is sometimes kind enough to provide its staff with free lunch. However, the only down side I have to say, was working around the TRULY ME display, sometimes you would witness customers say racially insensitive things in front of their children. ONE EXAMPLE: A little girl wanted Truly me 47, and the mother replied with oh gosh no, shes too dark, she looks Mexican. Then she burst out laughing;of course, we have to stand there and smile, simply pretending nothing was said. All in all, there is something for every child at this shop, and if your child doesnt like dolls, they have an excellent book selection.

Sells American girl accessories, clothing and toys for their dolls... but brace yourself... although American Girl store is for customers with a more expensive taste when spending 🙀 there wasnt a shortage of shoppers! They sell a small variety clothes for children as well. Friendly workers, meeting safety standards.

We loaded up on outfits for our granddaughter visiting from Germany. We had tried doing so with Amazon.de but wrong size and not genuine stuff. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful finding particular items. Houston lucky to have such a magical store. And right by the ice skating rink.

Tiffany was a super hero today. We had existing reservation that did not align with our scheduled visit. She and her team worked happily and quickly to make the accommodations necessary so my girls could have a magical day at American Girl . Great service and a million thanks!

Reflecting terrible consumerism. Luckily my daughter has a sense of what value of money is, she didnt ask for it, just looking around was enough for her!

Oh my goodness!I cannot say enough kind things about Jessica Wahlgren!!She has gone out of her way to make sure my granddaughter will get The Animal Exam table for her babies for her birthday!!!Its been a very stressful week with ice storm and power and water outages for so many in Texas. Its wonderful and encouraging to talk and see people helping others in any way they can!!I am Mom to two sons and have to admit until our granddaughter came into our lives I was not familiar with American Doll. They and their employee/family really do make little girls dreams come true.Also grandparents too! :)

Well..... $13.5/ person a high tea, dont expect too much. But girls would definitely love this place. Doll will have a seat with toy cup and plate pretend eating. Good experience!

American Girl is like Barbie on Steroids (without Ken). Obviously, a bigger doll, with coordinating dress, some accessories, & Paperback Book detailing the individual doll models Personality, Values/Style & Journey. Maybe an heirloom piece, or for a really special occasion. Oh yeah, and I am really trying to behave myself, they have a doll beauty salon (Im male). There is a child & adolescent party area (now COVID restricted). I guess they are trying to convey big girl, grown up, imagination, & princess qualities all rolled into one. I WANTED to understand the marketing behind it. It is no different than spending $200 to $300 on a Lego, Star Wars, Millennium Falcon kit.

Great place and really the only one in houston. The hair service is great and they do a wonderful service.

You can find anything for your doll such as cloths,accessories,and hair salon. This location has a cafe where you can have lunch with your doll, and is also available for private party.

My daughter loves American Girl. We had a problem with one of her dolls. We take it to this location.They were so helpful and fixed the doll with in a two weeks. LKeep up the great job AGS.

Security guard at mall entrance door is very rude. Associates weren’t very helpful. It was our first time going and we had to figure everything out for ourselves. There was no “experience”. We just picked out a doll ourselves and had an appointment to get her hair done at the salon. This activity also wasn’t explained well either. We drove 4 hours to bring my daughter here and was not very pleased with the experience.

Keep a close eye on your wallet. Gets pricey fast.

My family and I had a good time. 2years ago at the bistro. And the store is fantastic. My daughter loves America Girl. We hope the bistro will open soon😞

This American Girl is staffed with knowledgeable, great, and enthusiastic staff and theyre willing to help you and answer any questions you may have. As a big little girl, no one judged that I was trying to buy a doll (😂), but this would be a perfect place for a little girls birthday party, as they have a restaurant and tons of activities for girls to do. This is a strong 5 star recommendation, for sure!

Claudia the manager did an splendid job, she exceeded my expectations of the outcome of my daughters birthday 🎁 my daughter and her friends enjoyed the birthday party. Cara and the other assistant were amazing hosting and had a lot patience with the kids. No word can explain how thankful I am. For Claudia manage my advice to you, is that Claudia had an excellent idea of planing this party.

Love, love, love this place. My daughters favorite place to eat with their dolls. Its cool that they let kids get any doll or toy of kids choosing not only A.G doll. If you forgot they have some dolls they can lend you at no charge to play with. Checking out the store is a plus.Their ear piercing service is best. Both my daughters got their ear pierced their with no problems at all.

Not a good specials... High prices always... Prices doesnt make sense for family with kids on this covid season.. if buy one doll at the mall, there can be 6 diferents toys or nice clothes at Macys or at others stores there...

Exceptional customer service. Especially at the Bistro. They even held our purchased items at the sales counter while we dined with them. Our Bistro waitress was very informative about the menu as well as the history of the dolls. The food that we ate was delicious. My wife and daughter are already planning their next visit!(Hopefully I can go too!!)

I took my granddaughter here for her birthday. We ALL had the best time!!I think my daughter and myself had more fun just watching my granddaughters excitement! She is 7 yrs old and brought 2 of her Wellie wishers with her to the table to enjoy the experience. The staff was just perfect! Everything was so planned out down to the smallest detail. We took lots of pictures to remember this experience. We also spent a great deal of time in the store as she purchased Maryellen with her Birthday money!! Overall the best experience. My daughter and I had a great experience at this store. Jessica and Cara were wonderful. They were both extremely friendly and patient. My daughter was here spending her own money and they were so nice answering her questions about how much everything cost while she figured out what she could afford. After buying Luciana, and a matching dress for herself, we realized the belt wouldn’t fit her snug enough so Jessica poked another hole in it for her.After shopping, we enjoyed tea in the bistro and it was great as well.

Absolutely fantastic! Theres a huge selection of dolls etc. We had never been to an American girl store so we were surprised at the size. Everything is organized and the staff is there to help.We also checked out the cafe and it was very cute. The price was not bad at all and the food was great. We will come back next time we are in town!

Had never been walked in just out of curiosity, my best friend and I had the most wonderful time looking at all the dolls and their accessories. Left there feeling happy. Did not purchase only because my daughter is 34 yrs old and I have 6 grandsons. But irlt was a happy place to be at.

This was such a good experience for us and especially for our daughter. I love the entrance and decor. We were not in the store 5 minutes when Deigo came to assist us. He was with us throughout...even up to the cash register where my daughter proudly swiped her gift cards for the purchase. He told us about the amenities they offer for dolls, party packages and gave a schedule of upcoming events. Thank you so much!

Nice American Girl store, albeit on the small side compared to Chicago and Minneapolis. Very friendly staff that take the time to interact with each child to make sure they enjoy their experience in the store. It also has a hair salon and boutique restaurant and private dining room for special occasions. Located near the ice skating rink and Cheesecake Factory restaurant.

Amazing experience I got to share with my daughter. I still have my American Girl doll (Samantha) from when I was a child and my daughter was able to select her own doll. The bistro on site was also super cute! We are already planning my daughters birthday party there!

My daughter was enamored with her first AG experience! The staff was so kind and the store was beautiful. Well be going back for many years to come - especially for Molly, our newest Bitty Baby.

So glad this store wasnt around when I was a small child. It would have been my happy place. I took a friends daughter to the store for her birthday. This place is filled with the dolls toys. They have a beauty shop for the dolls, so you can get their hair done for not a lot of money.We also had tea at the bistro. We had a fancy high tea service, and they brought out a cup for my little friends doll. The food was good. We had muffins, fruit, tea, sandwiches, cupcakes, cookies, and more. It was really nice. I would recommend making reservations for our the bistro.

We took our girls to choose their first American girl doll as a pre Christmas present, and the experience was amazing. The store had an ample variety of products to choose from, and the staff was very helpful.We also experienced for the first time their Bistro restaurant, and we were quite impressed with the menu and all the options they offered.We will certainly return to cekebrate with our daughters more special occasions.

Staff completely ignored my daughter & I... noticed we were the ONLY African American family in the store. Did not feel welcome. Will not spend my money here.

Took my 5 year old niece in here for the first time and I had a hard time getting her to leave she had an amazing time in there and I can only imagine what it will be like once we start bringing some of these things home. She had a ball having lunch with her doll and picking out matching outfits for them.

Wow, I brought my granddaughter to have her Leah dolls ears pierced. The woman that pierced the dolls ears was very sweet.Steph helped us with finding different outfits. She is amazing and not pushy at all, just very helpful. She is the main reason I gave them 5 stars. Yet the whole experience was fun. We also had lunch there which my granddaughter loved,!!!

A little girls paradise! Even if your not interested in buying, this is a great place for your daughter to rome and feel like a princess.

This was my first time going to the AMERICAN GIRL STORE. It was AWESOME! It is a really really good store. l liked looking at the displays . And l found that they have a place for your doll to get theyre hair done but you have to have a reservation to do it. But theyre really nice people.❤❤❤❤❤😃❤❤❤❤❤ ❤❤❤❤❤❤. I love it

My daughter loved this place! It was clean and organized. The bathroom was amazing and clean also. The staff was friendly but never really asked us if we needed help finding anything. They were out of a lot of the items my daughter wanted.

Its a great place for mothers & daughters to bond over dolls and doll accessories. You can have a party there as well.

Why does this exist? My wife and I went to see the Easter Bunny, but she had other motives. While I protested that the human dressed as a mythical creature was charging too much for photographic evidence of our seasonally appropriate love for our daughter, she planned. She stood patiently as I paid the bunny people, lured me with the promise of sweet cookies and a comfortable chair by the fire. Then there it was... The pink wall. We walked towards it, and I knew that something in my life was about to change forever. As we passed through the doorway the sound of happy children filled the air. My 3 year old daughter swooned. She was hooked. Dolls of every color with custom everything staring at me. Pegs and shelves and cabinets loaded with doll wheelchairs and bathtubs. Doll puppies and kitties and dresses. Whats that? A doll diner! I began to protest but quickly gave in as the look of wonder filled my daughters eyes. I commend the company for their inclusivity of all types of people. They got my money that day. I could see it on all of their faces. They had won. They knew they would be getting much much more of it in the future....

I an a Berry Member with AG which means that I spend a decent amount of $ at the store. One of the perks with being a rewards member is that you get coupons for $10 off and most recently a free outfit for the 18 inch doll. I have been shopping at AG for ~1 year for my niece. I noticed that every time I got a $10 off coupon I was not able to use it on-line. I called customer service multiple times and every time they told me I had to set up an account on-line. Needless to say, I had already done that! My solution since even customer service didnt seem to know what was going on was to just use the coupon in store. A few days ago I received an email for a free outfit for being a Berry Member. I attempted again to claim it on-line with no luck. I went to the store today to get the dress (the mall was crazy busy and the parking lot insane). The store clerk tells me that I can only get the dress on-line. The assistant manager then attempts to help me. She calls customer service and again tells me I need to set up an account on-line. I try to explain that I have, but she is convinced that I just need to find better internet and go set up the account. I go out to my car and call customer service again. This time I was not pleasant and tell them someone is to figure out what is going on because I have already set up an account. I was put on hold for literally 10 minutes and she returns telling me there was a glitch in their system and I did have an on-line account it just didnt merge with my rewards account. It literally took 3 different calls to customer service and two trips into the store before someone could figure this out! Are you kidding!!! Long story short the customer service lady is sending me a free outfit because she didnt even know which outfit the offer pertained to. I expected them to go above and beyond since this was all clearly a glitch on their end and multiple sales reps and customer service reps continued to blow me off telling me to create an account. I will never buy another AG item again!

My daughter loved it here but as you can expect it cost us a pretty penny. The lady who did the owe dolls hair was very friendly and you can tell she lived her job!

This was a good place to purchase AG dolls. Although it was a bit crowded but to be expected because its such a big franchise. But overall the place was really nice and clean. If you need some AG dolls I recommend you go here!

Worth the money. This place is amazing. So fun and worth the experience, but have a budget before you go. The hair salon and bistro are overpriced though. But dont miss an opportunity to take your girls here, and dont forget to bring your doll ;) There are things in the store that arent online, and you save money because you dont have to pay for their ridiculous-priced shipping. They have store exclusives and all the displays are so cute !! This is a must-do.

This is my girls and I favorite place! The store is beautiful, the dolls are gorgeous, the dresses and all the accessories are awesome. We have a lot of fun every time we go there.We love to have breakfast or lunch at their diner.

Cute little over priced store, I had never been in her as my daughter is grown and I have no grand daughter, but this is hopefully not a place i have to come to again, now dont get me wrong the place is very well merchandised and they even have a cafe which i havent ever seen busy just in passing but to me personally this place is expensive, i would rather go to build a bear and have my grandson have an all around experience for a better price, then to pay for 1 doll for a child that they may play with a few times and maybe sit on a bed also to me some of the bears look better than the dolls at this place.

I’m just a PawPaw trying to find a doll for my granddaughter. Carie-Anne not only came to my rescue, but spent the time with me, even at close to closing time, and made it a fun event. She also educated me about how my granddaughter should properly brush the American Girl’s hair, so that she wouldn’t end up looking like Don King! Thank you Carie!-Anne!

Arrive early because it gets very busy. Personnel are helpful and warm. One can spend all day looking at all the accessories.

The store itself was good but the staff not terribly friendly. Especially going in with 4 excited girls 7 and under girls, the staff seemed aloof and even uninterested in us. Ill give this a 3 as it could have been because it was black Friday and the staff was tires. But this was the only store without much traffic so not sure why they were grouchy.

The girl at the register was so rude to my husband today. Weve never had a negative experience at that store and we buy a ton throughout the year.

My daughter absolutely LOVED it. If you go there for the experience, make a reservation at the Bistro and just get a desert.

We just went this past Sunday for breakfast with Santa and had a great time! The breakfast was good (we had French toast and pancakes) they delivered great service! We were happy with the whole experience!
