These two chairs & ottoman were over 50 years old and in horrible shape. The wingback chair was a dingy yellow and torn up.The chair & ottoman was covered in an awful navy blue, green, and maroon fabric. The upholstery shop took furniture that my in laws almost threw away & restored them beautifully for an incredible price. I have more pieces I will be bringing in soon. 100% recommend to anyone who needs quality work done.

This is the second time we have used the upholstery shop to update our furniture. Peter and his crew take such pride in their work. We are beyond satisfied with how this piece turned out.

This was not just my first experience with the Upholstery Shop, but with having furniture reupholstered, and the entire process was universally positive. We were having an old chair from the 20s or 30s that belonged to my grandparents redone, and great attention and care was shown at every step. While I have no basis of comparison, I felt like the pricing for material and labor was more than fair, certainly much less than buying something new of comparable quality, and the turnaround was faster than quoted. I would definitely recommend the Upholstery Shop.

We havent gotten our items back yet but we have had a great experience so far and keep finding more furniture to recover!

I have to put the review up about the integrity of the company. I called to see if I could get a quote and when Mr.Sam found out I purchased the sofa less than a year ago he stopped and told me about their 10 year warranty so he was sure there had to be a warranty with that company who sold me the sofa. He said to contact the company and get them to take care of that issue before I get someone else to do it. I really didn’t want to go back to them but it was worth a try. Sure enough the company confirmed they had to replace the sofa since it was less than a year. I said all this to state that this upholstery company could have just taken my money regardless of what another company owes me. This means that they are definitely serious about taking care of customers and not just about a dollar. I can have confidence in the work that they do. This business is definitely going to still fix my couch and I will use the credit to purchase something else that I need. Thank you so much Mr. Sam

The upholstery shop carries a tremendous amount of fabric in stock and can special order you others. They were very helpful and did an amazing job on my furniture. I love that they are honest, fair, family owned and have been around for MANY years! I highly recommend The Upholstery shop!

I had some leather dining room chairs that were peeling. They replaced the bad leather with some really beautiful Naugahyde. The price was very reasonable and they had them ready for me in a week. I was so pleased that I had them refinish my husbands recliner. Again, beautiful work at a reasonable price. It looks better than new!

Upholstery shop did four huge pieces of furniture for me.Big mans sofa, loveseat & chair and ottoman. They look better than the day I bought them. I will always take my upholstery jobs to the Upholstery Shop, they do fantastic work.

Just picked up my chair today and it looks awesome! I picked fabric off their in-stock wall and they were so helpful in getting my project taken care of. Helped me choose between a couple fabrics as to what would be a bit easier to clean as it was going into a nursery and you never know what can happen. My chair looks perfect and has a new life with its makeover. I shopped around some in my immediate area and the prices couldnt beat the Upholstery Shop. Any future upholstery needs, I will be sure to come back.

Ive been meaning to write this post for months, but Im finally getting to it. These guys do fabulous work and they price it very fairly. I needed two tufted sofas to be reupholstered and I needed it done quickly because we were moving in a month and a half to Brussels, Belgium. I had been quoted 900, 1200, and 1500 per sofa before I called the Upholstery shop. I came in, picked my fabric and they did each sofa, including fabric for under 800 each. They also will come pick up your furniture and deliver it for a reasonable fee. We lived out in Spring! Anyways, I could not be more grateful to them. If you need a piece of furniture done, go here.

While building a bed I needed some upholstery supplies. The supplies I purchased at the Upholstery Shop were excellent quality. The owners of the Upholstery Shop were more than willing to help answer my questions and provided the help necessary for me to complete my project. I will recommend The Upholstery Shop to all of my friends and encourage others reading this to shop there.

This shop definitely has a great selection of fabrics and offer excellent prices for their home textiles (in-house, bulk fabrics). If I had a great piece of heirloom furniture or a treasured item to recover, I would choose them hands down. That being said, I was there looking to see if it was economically feasible to recover cheap, thrift store finds. I found that it really isnt. Even if you pay $20-$75 for a used chair (a price point youll only find at Goodwill or a yard sale in this part of the country), it would cost at least $150 to have the chair recovered. And thats with their really cheap (and they look cheap) materials. If you go with a fabric that actually looks durable and nice, its gonna cost you around $200-$400 to have it recovered. At that rate, you might as well just go buy a new chair somewhere. And recovering a couch for only $300 like Marvin experienced in 2010? I didnt see any decent fabrics that would let you recover a sofa for less than $500 (especially if you wanted the fabric to last!). Please note that Im not bashing this store! I was very pleased with Peters assistance and the excellent selection they had (well, the first guy I talked to was pretty rude, but Peter came to the rescue and things went well from there). I would definitely recommend you check this place out if youve got any worthwhile / antique / heirloom / treasured pieces needing recovering. And make SURE to ask for Peter if you get any flack from anyone else. Peter will actually help you and Im sure youll be pleased with the selection. BTW, the store is directly off of Katy Freeway / I-10 on Bade St. Dont let Google or your GPS tell you to go all the way around to the part of Bade St. that doesnt connect with Katy Freeway! Youll just hit a noise barrier wall!

We have been very disappointed in the quality of the work we had done at this store. We had several chairs recovered and when they were delivered to us they were not at all the quality job we expected. The material was gathered and folded in places where it should not have been folded; when we sat I some chairs the cushions actually showed through; and there were dirt marker on the new fabric we purchased. We have returned them and are still waiting to see what they do about improving the way they look. They need to invest in quality checking and measures before the merchandise is returned to the customers. Buyer Beware!! You will spend a lot of money here and not necessarily get quality results.

I should have bought a new sofa! I had mine recovered here in 2011. First off, when my sofa was returned, it was obvious they had not repaired the frame inside as there was a visible sag. Theyd also thrown away my inner spring cushions and replaced them with cheap foam, and did not bring me the extra fabric Id paid for to make my own throw pillows. They took it back and re-did it to do the repair, and eventually gave me some fabric, but there was nothing they could do about my cushions. Now only a few years later the FRONT of my sofa has a hole where a staple has pushed through, staples are coming out in several places, and the cushions are sagging. Nothing like the comfy couch I used to have and love, just a huge waste of money all around.I was searching for another upholstery shop to have a chair redone, I am amazed this place is still in business and that it has such high reviews.
