I usually frequented the montrose location, produce was always amazing, very affordable and convenient. Since its closing, I expected the same quality at the West gray store.Shopped there yesterday and was super disappointed with the produce, very over priced mark ups on all items(which I assume is due to the fact that its in River oaks), even the Kroger brand can of pumpkin puree was somehow extremely rancid.Fortunately HEB is still convenient enough, and more consistent as far as quality is concerned.

I really like this Kroger always clean and well stocked. Started coming here after a very bad experience with Whole Foods. Regular customer now.

Clean. Has a great selection of American variety, didnt see much non American variety. Nicely decorated updated market theme.

Good location in the River Oaks Shopping Center. The store is clean with a nice variety of products and good merchandise presentation.The store is well staffed with friendly and helpful associates. I see some negative reviews, but some people are not funny with anything.

The cheese shop and wine selection at the River Oaks Kroger on W. Gray is worth going out of my way! The rest of the store is meh, just a Kroger grocery, but the specialty cheeses keep it in my shopping rotation. I can get party and hospitality gifts while doing normal shopping so it makes the extra drive worth it. 5 stars.

This store always seems to be very clean and well stocked . The staff is very friendly and always ready to go the extra mile for you if needed. Although the store is not as big as HEB, I think I prefer shopping here.It is easier to shop here and always has plenty of different varieties to choose from.

I went to the store to get assistance and this employee name Carlos Reyes, was rude and told me to get assistance by someone else. A few minutes later i saw he helped someone who was younger than me. I feel extremely discriminated by my age and he needs classes on how to treat ALL customers equally. Someone please get this man a class on customer service.

I don’t know what happened to this store. It is one of the dirtiest stores I’ve ever been in. Very disappointing.

After moving to the area recently I didn’t know where a grocery store was and actually found this place driving around lol it’s only a block from our new house. The employees are so helpful and they see that I’m obviously very pregnant and will do a lot to help. I’m so glad I have found my new grocery store.

A lady named Angela who works at the checkout treated me rudely, when I just wanted to help her with a sack of pet food so she would not make unnecessary effort. I feel sad with the treatment I received from this person. I dont know how it corresponds to Krogers customer service culture. I hope that kroger can detect and correct this type of behavior in its employees and thus continue giving that excellent service that has always characterized Kroger.

Average veggies. Very helpful staff in store but cashier less so. Mult prices incorrect and I was required to take photos to correct! No apologies offered

Awful wine and beer department / poor customer service. Great location but dirty inside and out. Trash is never picked up. Baskets appear never cleaned. I use it for a stop & shop 1 or 2 items ( emergency).

The security guard band a guy from the store, for not having a mask on, can the security guard do that? And the no mask customer was the one being harrased by cashier and rude child like behaviord guard. I just think that it could have been handled with discretion and a much more professional manner. Without threatening to call the authorities for something so petty.

Nice store, well stocked. There were 4 electric carts along with many large and small push carts. Digital coupon specials were intermixed with standard specials so there is fair pricing for everyone. Easy assisted or self checkout.

I was physically and verbally threatened by a large white man when I asked him to wear a mask and protect us older people. I am 68 years old. No security to be found. Next time I will call police. Kroger should require shoppers to wear masks to protect employees and customers.

Steve helped me in the wine department. The experience was so neat. See Steve has a hearing impairment but through technology I was able to speak into his voice speaker on his phone which transcribed what I was asking. That was so neat and impressive. Great job Steve!!!

If I could give this store less starts I would first it’s the worst location to work at from drama to just unprofessionalism as a whole. As well as there’s roaches and mold in diary just be careful what you buy.

This location never has more than one lane open besides the self checkout and no fewer than 5 employees standing around chatting. There are six carts lined up currently for this one lane. I asked an employee if they could open another lane and they said it was shift change so no. This happens every time I’m here. HEB has gained a customer!

I usually just come here looking for discounted meats. Its decent, I think as far as kroger locations go, this one is definitely kept and maintained a bit better. It is for the most part clean and Ive had no troubles looking for what I need. But it kind of feels like a not walmart but better option. I have yet to warm up to Kroger. If you like Kroger, Im sure this is a fantastic location, especially if its close to you.

Pretty sad I didnt hear low low low while shopping

If it werent for the location, it would never survive. Impossible to find an employee to help you find something. Dirty and run down. We can only hope the Driscoll will motivate someone to level this shopping center and rebuild something better in the near future.

This is A great location. The store is very neat and clean and well put together. I love the outside look to it, it gives and old town feeling. Thats one of the reason I enjoy shopping at this Krogers.

The cheese shop within the store (Murrays) is the best in town! I entertain frequently, and they have the best selection of cheeses, crackers, olives--everything I need for my parties. Their deli professionals (Jon and Gary) are super helpful, knowledgeable and go the extra mile to offer suggestions that I might not be aware of. I also appreciate that they know me by name. This is how I have found some of my best cheese selections and my friends always look forward to my new finds that I serve. I used to shop at a well-known liquor store for these items, but once I found Murrays, I was sold. Try them. They are fantastic!

On Monday, their water refill station was not operating despite the boil water notice being lifted on Saturday. Called them on Tuesday to ask if the station was up and running yet, they said yes. When I arrived at the store, the station still had signs on it saying not to use it. How hard is it to walk over to the station and check whether it’s working? Really annoyed at this amount of laziness and dishonesty over something that’s easy to check.Edit: Also had visible mold on their swiss chard on 06/01/2020

Compared to my Kroger this place Rocks! Easily 2 times larger, selection that is out of this world, what staff I met was friendly! Why people rush to Central Market or Whole Food when this place is way better just baffles the mind! Great Store with Great Prices!

I have been shopping at this huge clean Kroger for more than 10 years, probably the best in Houston.I just wish they had more organic produce and food in general.I love the self check out, much faster than waiting.Ample parking.

Great Kroger. Always very clean and organized. They have hot breakfast and lunch plates if you head over to the food side. Sushi always looks fresh. Wide variety of wine at this location. Friendly and helpful staff.

They actually blocked the pedestrian walk to set a tent forcing people to walk on the street having the risk to be hit by a car. This is not acceptable. Genius!!!

Just bought a bag of potatoes only to find a small live cockroach. If you decide to purchase produce there please check your items thoroughly. So disgusting, will never return.

I was at Kroger on west grey to try to do some grocery shopping and 4 out of 5 accessible electric carts are broken or not charged. The other is in use, so yet again, I am unable to shop.

Great Store with friendly service. Fast check outs ( self-checkout, express, and regular), hot food, deli, bakery, floral dept, Murrays Cheese service with olive bar, fresh daily made in house sushi, seafood/meat dept, wide variety of beer and wine, and seasonal section.

This is my go-to grocery store. Its never packed silly like the Alabama HEB, and is much cleaner and better stocked than the Montrose Kroger.Not only is the River Oaks Kroger the closest to me out of the 3, Ive yet to have a bad experience here and theyve never been out of an item on my grocery list.Its 24 hours, security patrolled, has friendly associates, and is always clean.

This is the best Kroger in the area. I have many grocery stores to choose from and I have found the staff and shoppers here to be the friendliest and most welcoming compared to other Krogers nearby. It’s nice to get the gas points after shopping for groceries too. We appreciate you Kroger!

I always find deals and management helps you out when in need, I always find what i need. The self checkout is convenient and never have problem with parking. Sometimes i get sushi which can be better but other than that i have few other selection on ready to go food. I am pleased on this kroger, been to other by my neighborhood and i cant say the same.

Easy in and easy out. Access was awesome. Found what I was looking for with a great store lay out. Definitely will be returning.

Now I know why there are so many self-checkout lanes, the paid checkers dont care to be even a little bit fast or efficient. If you dont have 10 minutes to kill standing in line, then be sure and check yourself out. Luckily there will be a new HEB nearby soon!

Only four of five stars for two reasons: The location is no longer open 24 hours, and with one section of parking closed off (for possible building renovation?) it can be difficult to find parking.

Well stocked with things you want. Friendly staff and easy store layout. Im usually in and out because I know where everything is.

This is a local grocery store and thats about it. River oaks is supposed to be fanciest place in Houston. Nevertheless this store is actually the next to the worst one you can find in town. I only shop there because I live nearby. They do not keep inventory. When you go there to buy something you never know if it is actually there. Consistently. Some gas stations are better managed, but unfortunately there is none nearby. It just have no competitors in the area, otherwise it would be out of business long time ago, or change its ways.

Today I had a late lunch at this location. One the lady work in the Deli her last name Brown . She went School with one of my sister she knew who I was very helpful pleasant and very professional.My plate lunch was $5.40,cent without a drink nevertheless I had water which is much more healthy. The cashier in selfcheck out area her name is Kimberly very helpful very pleasant and professional .I been come too this Kroger over 50, years my Mother would bring with her I would ride around in shopping cart back in the 60s . If not mistaken this you used to be a Weingarten back then .

Its a okay company if your searching for a summer job or a second part time job. Most co workers get complacent and comfortable at this job so they end up wasting years working minimum wage in a retail store. Management get thought not to think on their own, therefore they become idiots with a button down shirt and a tie. All and all do not get comfortable and try to make a career out of this part time job.

Your Mexican workers in the produce dept need to take some special courses on people skills... If they cannot offer better consumer service then they dont need to be working here at all..

Dismal often rude service. Manager is dismissive of any input meant to overcome a customer complaint.Have been coming to this Signature Kroger for many years and it has never ever made an improvement,even with the remodel a few years back, the human elements here are just awful with a few exceptions...unless pressed for time I will drive the extra two miles to HEB just to avoid the bad experience I know I will receive at this Kroger....

Neighborhood Kroger. Took one star off bc they didnt have powdered laundry soap, a throwback Im sure. But they did have interesting microgreens. And the people who work there are really great.

Seriously i love these guys. the store itself is great but the pharmacy is the best! im sure im not the only one thats experienced pharmacy issues at walgreens/cvs so i was really surprised when i switched to Kroger pharm and saw how helpful these guys are. They always have a smile and are eager to help. If the manager is working, he will go out of his way to introduce himself and thank you for choosing their services. But what i love the most is that a technician always answers when u call and they never have an attitude. Theyll call ur DR. or speak with ur insurance and when they say they will get it done that same day they actuallly mean it. I lived in montrose for a while but even no that ive moved to EADO i still use these guys because it is always worth the trip across town since i know the service will always be top notch. They really are nothing like any pharmacy youve experienced you wont be disappointed. If CVS/Walg dont have your script in stock, guaranteed these guys will have it in stock or will get it in stock same day. They have no problem putting forth the effort and thats ultimately why i made the switch and will always use them from here on out.

This is my go to Kroger. Always clean, organized well, and a friendly staff. Also, the parking lot is huge!

I recently moved to Houston from out of state and have not yet replaced my ID. This Kroger would not accept it because they werent trained to recognize other states licenses and therefore assumed it was fake. Im 25. On a side note, their bagels are terrible as well.

Use to be very good but for last few years getting worse and worse many unexperience people they are always tired they dont want to help toNight about 12:30 went to shop after long day I had about 70.00 dollars I did scan but some fruit and vegetables I could not see young girl by her self several times I did ask to help she said she can not I ask to call manager she refused I had to waited about half hours finally left everything .came home they lost 100.00 dollars to night and more in future. I shop here regularly the only thing I dont like is the deli its not great (not terrible but not great). Over all a good place to get groceries regularly.
