Their customer service is exquisite! It was my first time doing business with them and I am extremely satisfied with the results! I had a back tire that needed repairing. The tire was done in no time and has been back on the road since yesterday. As quality maintenance motorcycle shops have been hard to find in recent times, I will definitely do business with Motorcycle unlimited again; their work speaks for itself!

When I started my search for wheels for my new ride I assumed that if I purchase everything directly I would save money. After shopping for weeks and still not knowing exactly what direction I wanted to go, I decided to contact someone who might know a lot more about wheels than me and could help steer me in the right direction. I contacted Motorcycles Unlimited and boy was that a great decision. Thomas was helpful from the very beginning. I bounced some ideas that I had off of him and he agreed with most of what I was doing but did give his input on some things he thought would be better and I followed his advise. We had some trouble with the wheel manufacturer(whose name I will not mention) but he stayed on top of it and made sure that I had everything I purchased installed by the deadline I had because of a rally I was going to. When a part came in and it was wrong(no fault of his) he called them on his day off and had them ship the correct part, and we got it just in time. He also came to work early so I could drop my ride off so it would be done in time. In the future, I will bring my bike to them for any repairs or customization that I have done and I highly recommend that you do the same.

Not very impressive customer service. Quoted a week for racetech shock rebuild, after a week I called to ask told probably 1 more day, next day called and was told another week for parts. No explanation. So after another week finally done, and bill includes freight on the parts that took 2 weeks. Try to support local businesses but in future would just send suspension in to racetech

This a quality first rate shop.Took my GSXR 1000 to another nearby shop because it was way down on power. After 5 weeks I picked it back up in a worse state then when I had dropped it off. They guessed at the problem and there remedy made matters worse. The bike was not rideable at this point.I had it trailered to Motorcycles Unlimited . Once the repair began, Patrick diagnosed a melted catalytic converter which was not allowing the bike to breath. They installed a full yoshimura exhaust and Unf$!?$$ everything the other shop did .The bike was then tuned on a dyno to verify its power ( up 20 HP from stock).I’m super happy with the whole experience. These guys have EXPERIENCE, and no there stuff .

I have great respect for this shop, and the individuals within it, and, I appreciate, their business practice, work ethic, and service. I have used them for service for my bike for many years now, and I always forget to leave my good review as I get so busy with life and such. Back in January I bought my second bike, a used bike from a shady dealership (a 2007 R1 with ONLY 700 miles on it)... and as soon as I drove off their lot I took it straight to Motorcycles Unlimited in order to have them look it over for me... They quickly found an obvious fork leak issue I unknowingly had and was great in finding the best and most affordable solution to repair it... As I am about to take my newer bike to them for a sudden repair issue I am now facing, they are as always the first and only place I consider taking my bike too. They do good work, good communication, and I always appreciate the effort they make to get me back on the road safely indeed...see you this week :)

Update (from 1 to 2 stars):Patrick reached out to me after seeing my google review, intending to gain clarity on my displeasure with services rendered and seek resolution. I commended the effort to follow up, albeit ~2 months after the fact. Clearly we had misunderstandings regarding the scope and costs of requested vs. rendered services; which were exacerbated by the travel required to drop the bike at his shop after the promising phone quote and myself being on vacation after dropping it off. The primary cause, I think, of the misunderstandings was inconsistent nomenclature between Patrick and myself. I maintain, and Patrick agreed, that it is incumbent on the expert to validate and confirm mutual understanding for services requested. The fork issue remains a point of contention. As a rider who conducts a brief inspection prior to every trip on my bike, it is inconceivable that an oil saturated fork, wheel, and brake apparatus would go unnoticed by myself. I can confirm, however, that Patrick suggested that I could bring the bike in and he would replace the seals at no cost - IF there were signs of intentional destruction to them. Now Im not sure how we would define the criteria for determining this (it was moot since Ive had the repairs done elsewhere since), but nonetheless he did propose it.The bottom line for me is that I paid more for less. Perhaps it was naive to assume the phone quote was accurate, travel to leave the bike at the shop, and then go on vacation while the work was to be performed. As stated to Patrick, I am not a mechanic and that is precisely why I pay for the expertise. I also made it clear that my displeasure in this case is less about the money and more about the principle. At the very least, Patrick did reach out after seeing my original review - semblance of concern for reputation and customer satisfaction. Maybe my experience was simply the exception to the rule... but based on the 1 sample I do have, Im 40% satisfied - or 2 out of 5 stars.Original Review:Due to misunderstanding Patrick charged me $707 for standard maintenance on my bike - $250 of which I actually requested, and some things I wanted were left undone (front tire & clutch cable)... all after a $600 rough quote for the the few things I wanted (oil change, tires, and brake & clutch cables). The offer to reconcile for this significant discrepancy was another quote for an additional $600 worth of work, with free labor on the clutch cable which is worth about $25-40 from a typical mechanic. When I went to pick up my bike, they had replaced the brake lines (not requested) and the fork was saturated with oil - which was dry when I left the bike to be serviced. Combine the new fork issue with the lack of work I requested being completed, and the extra work that I didnt request due to the misunderstanding - I certainly dont plan any future business here and cant recommend that others do either.I moved here from out of state, and travelled well outside my local area (downtown) to take my bike to this establishment - specifically as a result of the abundant positive reviews I read online. With the misunderstanding about what was done, I would expect a reputable business to exhibit integrity, take - or at least share - responsibility, and make things right at a fair and justifiable cost. After all, as a customer I am paying for expertise - which implicitly places such obligation to the professional. I guess this place gets enough volume that they dont need to adhere to such a business model.

Service was pretty prompt and courteous. Told the folks when I dropped my bike off that I had just disassembled and cleaned the carb as well as changed the spark plug the day before. The bike was running but the throttle cables needed an adjust. I was told theyd look at it and give me an estimate; however, several days after dropping the bike off, I still didnt hear from them. I called and spoke to one of the nice ladies that works there and was told she would find out the status and let me know. A short while later, one of the service guys called and said it was running better but needed an oil change. I told them to do it. When I went to pick the bike up, I was charged for a carb clean, new spark plug, adjustment of the throttle cables and my gas tank was removed and cleaned for a total of more than $300! When I got the bike home, I had to adjust the idle and the engine wont run without the choke fully out and the throttle now sticks. Great people working there, but maybe not so good on the mechanical side since Im having to have it worked on again elsewhere as I moved.
