I read on line to go to about three places and get a quote to find the best price. I stopped here first. I had some gold I wanted to sale so I had an estimate on just one piece it was a bracelet. I was offered $190. I went to a pawn shop on 59 they offered $100. When I refused their offer they offered to match my first quote. I had more piece to sale I didnt want to get ripped off with the rest. So I ended back at Solid Gold & Silver. Great service!! He didnt try the wheel and deal me, like the pawn shop did. He gave me my stones back when some places have not. If I ever need to sale some gold this will be my first and last stop. Thank you for showing respect to your customers by being fair and honest.

Went in for the advertised price of $24.50 a gram for gold and only got paid for $23.00 a gram. Was pretty disappointed that I did not get the full amount that had been advertised. Definitely will not be going back.

Dave is a straight shooter old school dude. He knows the business well, taught me a few things on gold. I called around a couple places and found out It wasn’t worth my time shopping around any further than his store. I sold a gold chain and got good money for it crisp 100$ bills. The employe that was working today was amazing he offered me double what another place offered me for the exact same piece! So they really do pay top dollar he was so friendly and offered what other things I could do with the piece since it was a family heirloom rather than see it since it means so much to me. I went to ‘Solid Gold and Silver’ to sell a gold ring after looking online and seeing they offered the best price in the area at $17.50/gram for 14k gold. When I arrived at the store there was no one inside until several minutes later when a man came in through the back door. I spoke with the owner about selling my ring and he was very fast to weigh my ring and help me through filling out the paperwork. I was paid $126 cash for the ring and was then asked some strange questions about how I came into contact with the ring and why I was selling it. I understand the sensitive nature of selling gold however I felt generally uncomfortable throughout the process as he kept prying. When I asked for a receipt the owner became even more skeptical for some reason and asking why I needed a receipt and I had to press to get one from him. The owner began playing the piano then while speaking to me about his own divorce and his resulting situation. Eventually, I cut him off and had to leave. After leaving I realized that my ring was 8.4 grams and if he only paid me $126 that means I was getting $15/gram or $2.50 less than I was promised. Overall it was a fairly odd and uncomfortable experience and I was not paid the price he promised online.A

Good experience and I recommend this place. I went there last year and they paid the most. So I went back last week to sell an old diamond ring and he paid way more than I thought !! He worked hard to get the most money for me and I really appreciate that. I would check this place out .

Went in to Solid Gold and Silver recently to sell some gold my mom gave me and received $220 for it. After getting back home I found out that it was worth $314 at his advertised price. I double checked it was all 14 k gold before I sold it and had it weighed at 15.9 grams. The math of his doesn’t add up at all. I waited for two hours outside in the car for him to return after reading his note saying he will be right back. With all this I learned after the fact and how much I actually should of got I definitely would of went somewhere else to do business. Beware if your selling gold he is not a fair businessman.

If I could put a negative I would. Dave talked a lot and I realized why after I got home and did the math. I called before hand not wanting to drive the 40 minute drive if it wasnt worth it. He quoted me $20.00 a gram for 14k and $26.50 for 18k. He seemed so nice I trusted him. After arriving home I realized he ripped me off over $695 .. I took the time to send him an email giving him the chance to make it right or even take his money back and give me back my grandmothers Jewlery. I never got a reply back so here I am making sure others are aware of this man. Im also contacting the BBB. Its sad that you cant trust even small shops. Sadly, I needed the money and he took advantage of me. Dont go there, dont trust him, hes not honest at all. Like I said almost$700.00 is what he scammed me.

I went to this store a few months ago, and the price I was quoted was not what I was paid. I didnt realize until I got home and did the math that I was shorted. So, gold sellers beware. I would not recommend it, and the store felt a lot like a pawn shop.
